The building is very old and I think it was formerly the city hall for Oslo.
Classy and upscale, the service is excellent and the chef, at times, walks through the dining area to chat with the customers. Good selection of beers and wines. Expensive, great ambiance but you pay for it.
We did not know how famous this restaurant was and we were both in our tourist wandering about outfits, so at first wondered if we should be here, but once those beautifully presented dishes came through, we were glad that we had stumbled in.
This restaurant deserves to be treated as a classy, first class, gourmet dining experience...as it is.
