I have been a new patient for about one month and have had three appts in that time. After my initial exam and X-ray I went back for my cleaning and one cavity. About two weeks later I had a Torus Mandibular erupt through the gum, rough boney protrusion, during the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning and the dentist was able to see me later that day. The problem was taken care at that time. The reception staff has been very nice and polite. The Dentist and her dental assistants are also very friendly and professional. I have no complaints. read more

My husband & I are patients at Waterside Dental. Dr. Phan is an amazing professional and expert dentist. The hygienist is very thorough and knowledgeable of dentistry. They are both outstanding, 5 However, the phone calls are often answered by the Call Center, which I totally avoid talking to. They are incredibly incompetent and ask entirely too many irrelevant questions to not even be staff at the Waterside Office. I would rather leave a voice mail message than talk to the "Call Center" who should not be part of such wonderful office! read more

This place is not a good faith partner. Instead of billing the VA upfront and getting approval for my crown associated with a root canal, they did the root canal and said I had to pay $795 for the crown... as I was sitting there in the chair post root canal. I was literally held hostage for my $ - this is Feb 2,2024 Then we got approved by the VA and they paid the claim months later for the crown. I was assured many times that I would be receiving a refund. It is now Jun 25, 2024. You can not get in touch with these people. Please steer clear. I will update upon resolution. read more

This place is terrible. I went in for a crown replacement. My appointment was a long one. The procedure was finished near the closing time. While waiting for the procedure to wrap-up, I was approached and solicited for a cleaning. I agreed to the cleaning. However, when I arrived back at my office less than 15 minutes later, I realized the appointment conflicted with another. At that time i called Waterside Dental to cancel the appointment. The call was taken by their answering service who advised me that the clinic was now closed, but that the service would notify the clinic that the appointment for two days later had been cancelled. The repair appointment had taken place on a Wednesday. The cleaning appointment was scheduled for the following Friday. The day following the procedure, and after cancelling the cleaning appointment, I called the office once again to confirm that the clinic had been notified of the cancellation. On that date, the call was again transferred to the answering service. The call taker advised me that the office was closed on Fridays. After I explained my earlier call to cancel the cleaning appointment, I insisted that the call taker check to verify note of the cancellation had been noted, and transferred. The call taker explained that the message was contained in the records on the day of the appointment. She reassured me the note appeared in the system, and was passed on to the clinic, and nothing more need to be done by me. However, less than one month later, I began receiving collection calls from a collection agency, attempting to collect more than $230.00 for a missed cleaning appointment. I notified the collector that the charge was not valid because the appointment had been cancelled well with the time specified for cancellations. The day following this first collection attempt, I arrive at Waterside Dental, and asked to speak to the office manager about the situation. The Office Manager refused to come to the front counter to speak with me, and after awhile, I departed Over the coming days and weeks, the collection calls were relentless, and remain so to this day. As often as possible, I inform the collectors that the debt is not valid, and request a stop to the phone calls, letters, and text messages. After three calls requesting the Office Manager return my calls or call me, I have no resolution to the problem. Hence, this negative review. Don't go to this place. Good luck! read more

I have the worst experience ever with the entire team. Recently I got a removable implant and everything was wrong, even though I went back to them to get it fixed didn't work. I had a cleaning on July 10, 2023. I received a fluoride treatment for which I paid $30, the amount not paid by insurance. I wrote 'fluoride treatment' in the memo section of my check. The check cleared the bank on July 17th. They did not credit my account with the payment even though they cashed the check. Since then I have been receiving bills and past due statements for that $30. I have given them copies of the front and back of the canceled check, and it still continues. It is almost the end of September now, and yesterday I received another bill for the fluoride treatment. The dentist is good, but the person who takes the money is careless. It should not take three months or more to get what I paid credited to my account, especially after I proved they canceled the check. I will not be going back to Waterside Dental. read more

Before you go here, I would read the Yelp reviews. I think the google reviews are from the dental owner the dentist and their friends. They do not deserve 4.4. I am 37. I have been to dental places in five different states for over 30 years. Hands down the WORST dentist or dental care group you will ever meet. The Dental hygienist (the one drive from Spring) is the only good hygienist. The front desk manager who acts like the owner of she is a DDS is the reason why no customers comes to this place. Yelp has a 2.5 review. This place is close to our home but not anymore. The front desk manager rude, extremely rude. If you are someone who is Hispanic Spanish speaking or from another country with accents she treats you like the lowest type of people. It is a terrible terrible place. Research more, don't count on the google reviews. We have them benefit of the doubt and went twice. Second time worst. They also charge you and your family $15 for PPE. I am tempted to take my own PPE for $60 for family of 4 (two kids). Terrible place they will charge you, bill insurance wrong, and then scam you more. They are subjective on "cleaning levels". For your sanity don't go here. There are many places to go. You don't have to go where some manager/ secretary is rude loud and obnoxious! read more

First, the equipment was old and the nurse were rough putting those old equipment in my mouth causing bruises. After the checkup, the dentist was going to referral to endo dontist but since they don't have his number they asked me to call my insurance get it instead of lookup themselves. When I finally gave them the number on thursday by them time I was in pain, they told me the dentist is off until monday when she will write a referral that I can then use to get an appointment. it really sucks and no empathy at all. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter for a check up. 30 minutes before her appointment after I already left work early and pulled her from school they said they needed to cancel. Awful, do not go here. My very first time here and will not go back. They called me a couple of days prior to my original appointment and stated that they would need to reschedule. Not a great first impression. When I arrived for my rescheduled appointment a week later, I noticed right away that the office was not very clean. I didn't have to wait long because there was no one else there but when I went back I noticed that the equipment was outdated. The staff is extremely young and very in-experienced. I thought I was going in for my bi-annual exam and cleaning but after they took x-rays and the dentist (if you could call her that) looked at my teeth for one minute, I was told that they would need to reschedule the cleaning for another day. What a waste of my time. Every dentist I've gone to does the check-up and cleaning at the same time. Really a poor practice, do yourself a favor and choose another dentist office! I normally go to Welch Dental in Katy but my insurance changed and unfortunately, I'm no longer covered there. This place is awful. They started out great, however once they have your money they treat you like garbage and you can't do anything about it. They triple book slots to jam in as many people as they can and you are basically just a number. This is another one of those "chain" dental places where dentists are 1099 contractors so it's a revolving door. So you never know who you'll get the next time you show up for an appointment. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. It's very local to us so location is ideal. Too bad once the treatment we've paid for is complete I won't be anywhere near this place. Very nice and clean. Staff is friendly. The only issue I have is that they run the place like s used car lot. At every opportunity I was being up sold some sort of "extra" services. From teeth whitening to a ultraviolet cancer screening. I just came in for my biannual teeth cleaning and was told I needed to spend another $2000 annually for "deep cleaning". They refused to clean my teeth unless I forked over another $440 for the deep cleaning for my initial visit. Throw in a lot of disclaimer paperwork that they want you to sign, I guess so you won't sue them, and I was ready to leave. Will not recommend this place. Update: I just received my bill and they charged me $88 for an "exam". I have never been charged for sitting in s chair and having a dental hygienist look in my mouth. read more

I understand that the dentist are getting commissions for work done. A $600.00+ charge was what they wanted to clean my teeth after insurance was deducted. I have a new dentist and they charged me 200.00 for exrays, exam, and cleaning. Oh waterside will up charge you $10.00 for PPE supplies. You might want to look on the other side of the over pass for a dentist. read more

This is the worst dental office I have been to. They clearly JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. From customer service to orthodontic treatment, everything is terrible. I came here 5 years ago for invisalign and my teeth are still not straight. They REFUSE to fix the imperfections in my teeth, even though my 5 year time limit still has not expired. They changed my orthodontist several times which caused immense confusion and frustration. They never follow up with customers and contacting them is the worst. I called them several times to book an appointment or change appointments, and 95% of the time no one answers the phone. The refuse to believe their mistakes and fail to provide any compensation or compromise. The admin staff are rude and lack basic customer service skills. Overall, Waterside Dental Care is just outrageous. They have terribly failed in their orthodontic services as well as customer service. I was not satisfied with anything at waterside at all. If i was aware of other dental offices 5 years back, I would definitely, without any doubt go to a different place. read more

My special needs son and I received services at this dental office. The services were good. The issue is the office manager or employee has falsified billing information. I called the dental office and explained that our active duty military dental coverage was ending on 2/29/2016, for he was retiring. They waited to bill after coverage ended , instead of using the dates of services. They used dates when I was never in the office. I have been trying to get they resolved. Yet, I have been unsuccessful. I plan on seeking other recourse for they placed this on his credit as a collection. I always pay my copay - I owe nothing. read more

I only visited because it was the only one near me that accepted my insurance. Place is clean, staff is nice but the "dentist" its more an apprentice. She couldn't work or didn't know how to with anything other than do a basic cleaning. So she just referred to another incompetent that didn't know how to neither in the meanwhile charging me some hundreds between x-rays and evaluations and having to go back home with nothing done on my teeth! This is one of the worst places you can go. As a new referred patient, I waited an hour after my 9:30 appointment time. Prior to me sitting in the dental chair, I inquired how long it was going to take before I was seen for my root canal. The reply was an additional 30 minutes! Needless to say, they called the day prior to move my appointment from 12:30 to 9:30am and they probably call you in at 9:30 and are ready to see you at 12:30. This was the most unprofessional treatment for a new client I have ever seen. If this was an ER or someone was bleeding, I can see rescheduling. I was not given that option! While the dential hygenist is good, the dentist is one of the worst I have ever been to (Dr. Blake). I went in for a simple fix on a tooth filling that came loose and I left there not being able to chew on that tooth and with a new gap between the teeth. He has no patient communication skills, never introduced himselft, and never apologized even after the 2nd visit to try and fix the problem. I had to go to another dentist. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone. read more

Everyone that works at Waterside Dental is professional and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this office! The office is new, updated, and well-maintained. It has a home-y feel. When you call to make an appointment, the person on the line actually sounds like she is glad you called and is very helpful. When you arrive for your appointment, they welcome you by name. You don't have to wait very long at all to be called back for your exam. I have had a cleaning, a filling, and a crown, and every part of the process was explained in detail to me, all my questions were answered, and the procedures went flawlessly. Dr. Shirvani is very thorough and makes sure things are done right the first time. She and her staff even worked with me to make sure my treatments were finished before I went on vacation. Their billing is also done correctly and the financial part is explained in a way that makes sense. They even have a really great teeth whitening program. This is the first office I have been to where I have been truly impressed and every part of my experience as a patient was a positive one.
