Our son has had a tooth abscess before and it moved to under his eye, which could be deadly if the drainage went to his brain. Husband was rightfully paranoid and just wanted to know if it needed to be taken care of ASAP or would he be okay until he gets back to DFW. Long story short. Dr Huynh gave him pain meds and antibiotics. Told him he needed the tooth out soon or retreat of root canal, but nothing immediate. I appreciate the office getting him in quick and Dr reassuring him.

Although I can technically see my children (who are 3 and 4 years old at this time) for their dental needs, I have always preferred to have pediatric dentists to see my children for their dental needs as I know there are certain aspects of patient care which are different for adult patients vs pediatric patients (also my kids tend to listen better to other adults than me). From the scheduling of initial appointment to every aspect of our visits including recall reminders, I am truly impressed with Dr. Yang and her team's approach to providing the best care possible. Office is exceptionally well kept including a very cute lobby area to the super fun patient care areas and the well trained team provides exceptional services with friendliness. Dr. Yang's treatment recommendations were solid recommendations with conservative approach in mind and I am so happy to have found Dr. Yang's office for my children. So when we came back home I found another dentist and surprise they also said she didn't have any cavaties! Reading the other reviews it sounds like a common scam they are running telling parents their kids need all this work when they really don't. Pushing parents to put kids under to charge extra money. After spending a lot of money there feel scammed and would like a refund. Now my kid has silver teeth that she probably didn't need. Do not go to this dentist office if you love your children. All they did was traumatize my kid! And reading all the other similar reviews they are doing unnecessary work to over charge parents.

My twins needed a lot of work but he said we can do as little or as much as I was comfortable with at one time. He actually recommended not doing to much at once so that they wouldn't be traumatized and would have an easier recovery. We did the urgent things first and he helped me set up a future treatment plan. The kids loved the video games in the waiting room and movies in the treatment area. All of the furniture and even the x-Ray machine are kid sized and there are bright colors everywhere. My kids felt comfortable finally and even want to go back now! He is able to do sedation if needed too. I really want to mention that Dr. James cares again because I was very impressed with the time he spent with us explaining and comforting the kids but what really put him in the top of the top for me was when he called my home the night ( 8pm or so) that they had some extractions and caps put in just to make sure the trip home went well and that they were handling things well and not having problems. No dentist in my experience has ever taken that kind of extra step. It was a pleasant surprise especially because the office closes much sooner than that so I know he used personal time out of his own day to check on us. I am sad that our insurance is out of network this year again, because if it was in network we would be going to Dr. James until the kids are to old to go there any more! We live about 1 1/2 hours away when fighting Houston traffic but I would gladly keep making the trip. I'm even considering switching my insurance company :) Seriously, you won't be disappointed if you choose to go here, everyone in the office is wonderful and very knowledgable.

After we moved to Sienna, I tried taking them to a local pediatric dentist for convenience. That visit was a huge disappointment--they recommended multiple fillings and other procedures for my daughter that didn't seem right. I decided to drive the 30+ minutes back to this office, and I've never looked back. Dr. Harpavat is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and conservative in her approach. She never recommends unnecessary treatment and always takes the time to explain her recommendations. As a parent, that gives me tremendous peace of mind. Even more impressive, my kids actually love going to the dentist! I certainly don't remember feeling that way as a child, and I think that says a lot about the caring and welcoming environment she has created. As a microbiologist and scientist myself, I value evidence-based, ethical healthcare providers. I trust Dr. Harpavat completely with my children's dental care. I also can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lankford, who has been my dentist. Years ago, I suffered an injury that fractured my front tooth and damaged several lower teeth. Eventually, the root of the crowned front tooth became infected and could not be saved. Dr. Lankford guided me through every step of the process, referred me to an outstanding oral surgeon for my implant, and later restored it with a beautiful, high-quality crown. Throughout the entire experience, he was compassionate, supportive, and always available to answer my questions. The final result looks and feels amazing, and I couldn't be happier. His skill, honesty, and attention to detail are exceptional. Both Dr. Harpavat and Dr. Lankford are dentists I trust completely. I recently had a crown pop off and went to another dentist out of travel convenience and it was a nightmare that Dr. Lankford had to fix. The other doctor was going to place a crown over an old filling and decays, but luckily their permanent crown broke upon seating and I was able to see Dr. Lankford for a second opinion. The nitrous was 1/3 of the cost of the other office I went to and my crown was extremely reasonably priced. I was comfortable the entire time and my coworker I referred here also relayed to me she's never felt so comfortable and at ease at a dentist. Let me first say... I hate, hate, absolutely HATE going to the dentist…read more I've had some seriously HORRIBLE experiences with Vietnamese dentists before. It's that damn language barrier, I swear. They speak to their receptionists and their dentist...apprentices (whatever the hell they're called) in Vietnamese so you NEVER know what's going on. You tell them you're sensitive to pain - they don't care. You tell them it hurts - they don't care. I had my wisdom teeth pulled at another Vietnamese dentist office and he RECORDED it for his apprentices and had the audacity to ask "You stay and watch?" when I was in pain, in tears, and ready to storm out of the place. Some of these dentists are EMOTIONALLY-CONSTIPATED. But Toto Dental was, thank God, not like any of those places. I arrived, begrudgingly, for my yearly check-up at 9am on a Saturday morning. Not crowded, no wait, so that was a good first impression. I was brought to the back where some technicians took x-rays of my teeth. Then a few minutes later, Dr. Haikhanh Tran swooped into the room. She's loud, talkative, friendly, and bubbly, but she's pretty serious when she gets to work. She tells you straight-up when she comes across any problems and she makes sure you understand the problem and how to tend to it. It's also obvious that she cares about teaching her apprentices because she'll explain whatever she's doing to them, but not to the point where you feel like a freak-show. The best part: SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH. To her receptionists, to her techs...so you always know what's going on and what they're saying about you. Just being aware of everything made this visit 10x better. I still hate going to dentist. And I always will. But if you HAVE to drag me to one, drag me here.

My wife and I, right around the time we got married almost 9 years ago had been going to different…read moredental practices for our dental care. The dentist I've been going to was going to retire, and it was right around the time and through a mutual acquaintance at our workplace (we each other met at work), heard of Dr. Zhen Yang's practice on the side of Sam Houston Tollway West, northbound past Bellaire Blvd. Back then, Dr. Yang was the only full time doctor (that we remember seeing), and his wife Dr. Tang, who is also a dentist, was only there some of the time. Immediately I can already notice that Dr. Yang's clinic is taking a more modernized approach in their environment and decoration. The waiting room is pretty spacious and has a TV there for patients to watch while they wait. Whenever I go to doctor's offices, even though I know most of the time I am there for my annual cleaning, feels nice to watch something relaxing and educational at the same time one TV, and Dr. Yang often (not all the time) had nature films playing, which I something I enjoy watching while I wait. When we first started seeing Dr. Yang, we immediately took notice that while he has patients wait in the chairs, there were some movies available to watch on the swiveling monitors he had around the chairs and these were movies that were available on their local network. Perhaps they had just started their practice, we had to do quite a bit of sitting and wait time, and the movies helped. I still remembered it being quite funny that both my wife and I, despite being in different rooms, both chose to watch the movie "The Island (Ewon McGregor and Scarlett Johanssen)" while we waited and both couldn't get through the movie before our services had to start. P. S. We ended up buying the DVD because we both loved the movie so much. The clinic also eventually moved onto showing Netflix to the patients on these monitors* Dr. Yang and Dr. Tang both look to still be in their prime. Both are professional, friendly, attentive and thorough in their examinations. We felt comfortable coming to their clinic after a few visits. Although we were there mostly for our twice a year cleaning and checkups, and before they hired more oral hygienists, Dr. Tang would also chip in to help with the deep cleaning, which she did for my wife a few times, we also stopped in for other reasons. My wife removing a wisdom tooth, I had to get some fillings done on my teeth, which amazingly, after getting them done back in 2010, they are still on and did not once fell off and needed to be redone, and getting nightguards made because I grind my teeth during my sleep (again, well made quality night guards that even after 5 years, even though I put some dents in it, still managed to hold up). That co-worker that had told us to come to check out the clinic moved on to other dental practices after a few visits. But we decided to stay with Dr. Yang's practice because of his craft and dedication to his work. The clinic now has more Doctors and hygienists on board and Dr. Tang has retreated to be more supporting administrative role for the clinic. Dr. Yang really only work during the week days while the other Doctors work the weekends. The clinic can be extremely busy and hard to book. So if you are booking appointments for deep cleaning, you have to book approximately 3 months of your preferred month/date. That's right, can't book too early and not too late. The clinic accepts most dental insurance and accepts cash, and credit cards as form of payment. Give Dr. Yang's clinic a try, you might starting to look forward to your dental visits.

I just went back for my bottom two teeth chipped out on corners then even Dental Floss couldn't through it. I can't imagine how did Dr. Yang's Art Skill & best Material to get my Beautiful Teeth & Smile to come back.
