Last night's meal was the best we've had from here in years! This has been our go-to place for pizza & cheesesteaks & had noticed that while still good, it had been missing that something extra. Often the pizza wasn't quite as thin or the sub roll was bit soggy. Still good, just not the quality of the past. Not last nights meal! The roll was perfect - soft yet crunchy. The pizza was outstanding. Just that right combo of cheese, sauce & crust. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed it! read more

the food i tell you was amazing. me and my wife got the cheesesteak sub and also the grilled chicken sub and both were really good (the grilled chicken is better than the cheesesteak in my opinion). Easton was really quick with taking my order and our food only took 10 minutes to be ready! i would say to wait in the car for the order if you don't like small atmospheres because it is a little snug when you walk in. overall, great first time experience! read more

Everyone talk about how the food here is amazing. I've had a cheesesteak here before, it was just ok. Not mind blowing. Royal Pizza's are better, in my opinion. Last night while at the hair salon, my stylist suggested we get quesadillas from here. "Quesadillas? Umm... no. That's what boring ppl order who get grilled cheese sandwiches from award winning delis. We aren't those ppl". "No! She said. These are the best. They are amazing. I've never had anything like it. You won't be disappointed." I trust her. She has a diverse palate... so, she gets a chicken one and I get a steak one. We got it delivered. Baaaaaayyyyybeeeeee whaaaaat!!! I'm am a changed person. First, they don't use tortillas. It's more like a flat non riding pizza dough. Then... the meat and this salsa and the cheese (order extra cheese, trust me).... it's huge. They put it in a small pizza box. You think you can't eat it all. But you can and your tummy doesn't punish you after. Order extra sour cream because they give you a mini tub that just isn't enough. In a perfect world, they'd add salt, lime & cilantro to the sour cream and serve it to you that way. Anywhoo... it was amaze balls. I'm definitely ordering that again. It was filling, it was flavorful, it was fresh & juicy and they didn't skimp on the meat. It was worth every penny. Every penny. Get this. Seriously, I think they deliver through Grub Hub, Eat and independently. Get this. I like the steak one. Did I say get this? If not.... GET THIS. Order it now. Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200. Just THIS. You're welcome. **takes a bow** read more

Waterloo Pizza - Steak quesadilla (Yes!!!!) - Pizza Near Me - Columbia, Maryland

Cutest little family run sub and pizza shop! The salad pizza is amazing, we ate it too fast to take a photo! The owners are the best- and will tell you what to order on the menu (their favorites). I come here after every concert at Merriweather! read more

My opinion is based solely on the fact that I've only ever had their chicken quesadilla. This quesadilla puts all others to shame! If you came here for subs, pizzas or whatever and were disappointed please go back and try the quesadilla. It's well worth it and I love that they give you fries to go with it. read more

The food here is great. The gentlemen that normally deliver my food are kind and the food always arrives quickly. Yesterday there was a different driver, young (maybe high school) but I had to write this review as he was one of the most kind and professional people I have come in contact with in quite a while (my background is hospitality and etiquette so I notice these things). He was courteous, professional and he looked me in the eyes. Great job mom and dad! To his boss, give him a raise and extra hours if he wants it. The pizza was piping hot and just as tasty as always. read more

So as a rule of thumb I don't eat in restaurants in a gas station. However this is my only exception. The pizza and cheesesteaks are so good. I've only ever had them delivered. The delivery is super fast. Like the fastest delivery ever! If I ever order food in it's always Waterloo. Def give them a try. read more

Fantastic bacon cheddar fries, surprisingly good, had a lot of bacon on there and the fries themselves were amazing by themselves. Italian sub is decent, slightly overpriced at 12 dollars, not a fan of regular yellow mustard but the salami, provolone etc was ok just needs more toppings options read more

For a pizza place to be in a gas station and the location this is probably going to be our new go to for pizza. Pretty close a NY style pizza if that's your choice. Wings were flavorful and nice sized. Had a nice crisp to them and moist in the middle. If you haven't tried them I suggest you do. read more

This pizza is so DAMN good!!! Me and my fiancé have been eating here for two years and the food is always great. We normally get the pizza but have tried the wings, fries and salad. Everything is made fresh. read more

Great tasting pizza. Recently moved here from San Diego. Have not found a pizza place that compares to pizza on the west coast ( I grew up in New York and lived on pizza so I kinda would think I know good pizza). Although the location is not your typical pizza restaurant but for take out pizza it's at the top of the list for what I have found in Columbia/Ellicott city area. Good tasting pizza that I would recommend giving them a try. I gave it four stars because of the location. read more

If you're going to start a Tour de Cheesesteak, you might as well gas up the car at the same time. In February, I asked the question "Where do you get a good cheesesteak around here?" and got dozens a terrific answers from Howard County to Baltimore and beyond. I started in central Columbia at Waterloo Pizza & Subs in the Exxon station on Little Patuxent Parkway. Did the Waterloo cheesesteak have what I wanted? Lean sliced beef? Check. Mushrooms, onions and hot peppers? Check? Soft roll? Check -- plus bonus points for a toasted roll. That's a good sandwich. A large helping of well-done meat, juicy enough to have flavor without turning greasy. Provolone melted through the meat, and vegetables on top were generous without distracting anyone from the point that I had ordered a cheese steak sandwich. I ate happily in my car, although you could sit in the Exxon's waiting area and watch television. Even a small cheesesteak is a heavy sandwich. I felt stuffed even without any chips or sides. Waterloo isn't making a brilliant sandwich like Bon Fresco's london broil, but they do the cheesesteak right. Is it authentic? Probably not because I don't remember anyone toasting rolls on Chestnut Street. (As you read this, guys in Eagles jerseys are ranting about how Waterloo doesn't use the right bakery.) But I love toasted bread, so the crisp bread actually made my cheesesteak by standing up to the meat juices and providing a little crunch. This may take a while. I'm past my prime when I ate multiple cheesesteaks and hoagies each week. But the tour will roll through other cheesesteak suggestions. People raved broadly with a few votes a bunch of local places, including Simmies in Columbia, Diamondback Tavern in Ellicott City, and Philly's Best in Elkridge. I was actually trying to eat at Philly's Best, but the person who answered the phone couldn't be bothered to give me directions. read more

Taste very similar to NYC pizza. Large slices. Delicious. Way better than any chain delivery pizza place that you'll order from.

I've been to another one of these in a less questionable location - yes, this one is connected to a gas station. Yes, it is the size of a gas station restroom. But I'll be darned if they don't have some great gyros. Maybe a little heavy on the feta, but that's a personal choice and I just pick it off. They usually run some kind of specials on their pizzas and when you're on the go and want a slice, you can stop by and grab one as well. Their pizza is quite tasty! They do have a nice-sized menu of hot sandwiches. You'd really be surprised because of the size of the place, but they really do have a lot to offer. I'd warn against the cheese fries unless you like the nacho cheese from a can. Good fries, though. read more

If I could give zero stars for customer service I would. Ordered a pizza with different toppings on each half - did this by selecting what I wanted on the right half and what I wanted on the left half on this order site. Pizza arrived with everything on the entire pizza. Grubhub won't take responsibility and pizza place says the order they received from Grubhub was what they made. Told I have to call back again when the manager comes in. Guess I don't get lunch and Waterloo Pizza will get a bad review everyplace I can find. Wouldn't just remaking the pizza and sending it out make more sense? Avoid this place if you want your order prepared correctly. read more

If you want a cheap slice of thin pizza in columbia, this is a place to consider. Its hidden in a gas station, but the food is excellent. The slices are large, sometimes greasy, but always hot and fresh. Cheese steaks are consistent, good amount of meat and topping available. Good specials, and delivery. read more

BLUF: Very disappointing. We recently moved here and figured we'd try a delivery pizza place and the reviews led me to try this place. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and 12 hot buffalo wings. The pizza was dripping in grease from the poor quality cheese. The sauce tasted good but hard to get over the dripping grease... The wings were nothing to write home about with some packaged ken's steakhouse ranch. All in all I wouldn't recommend it. read more

I've been hearing about their cheesesteaks so I finally got one. Now they aren't as good as what used to the be (DMV area) standard: Trio's at 17th & Q Streets NW, WDC. Trio's used to have a carryout (which is now Hank's Oyster Bar) and they had killer steaks. It was always the spot to go in the mid 90's after drinking at 4:00 in the morning. Their secret was Lea & Perrin's Worchestershire Sauce. Back to Waterloo.. I got a 12" steak with double provolone cheese (you'll find that the key to a cheesesteak is the meat to cheese ratio), tomato, onion, mushroom and mayo. The bread was good and soft. The steak was not dry and most importantly, the sub was full (no empty space inside which too many places do). My opinion...If you aren't gonna stuff your sandwich/sub, you shouldn't be making sandwiches or subs. Definitely the best in Columbia, MD. I also got a small pizza. It was not as good as my favored Pizzaman Pizza. I also like the fries. Not as good as Five Guys, but still good. Definitely worth trying out especially for the Cheesesteak. read more

I have lived in Columbia for about 16 years and I have always passed this place and seen the take out menu's on my door about once a month, and I remembered stopping by once to get gas and walked into the place with a friend (who was getting a sub-I got nothing) and then thinking "Holy Crap... this place is a dump!! How da heck can they make money and the food has GOT to be horrible for such a dive little place in a gas station!" Fast forward to last month when my work decided to order from this place and I was told they have great food and pizza. I didn;t realy wanna order but I had to succumb from the pressure of the rest of the workers. I was not in the mood for pizza or subs (which is really what most of these places "specialize" in, meaning if you order something else, it will surely suck. I said WTH, and ordered Lasagna with Sausage. The Lasagna was priced at $10 and with sausage it was only a $1 more. When it came, I was pleasantly surprised! It was piping hot and the portion was HUGE! Enough easily for 2 people, maybe even 3 people. And I got 3 whole grilled sausage links! You don;t even get this is most Italian rstaurants! Who charges $1 for sausage and gives you 3 large whole links! The lasagna itself was definitely better than expected. You lso get a side salad and again to my surprise, it was truly fresh- none of the leaves had browning and it looked and tatsed like it was fresh cut lettuce. You also get a huge piece of garlic cheesy bread- a ridiculously big piece! I have ordered 4X's since and had all the italian dishes and tagain the portions are huge and plentiful-almost too big to believe for the price. I have not tried any of the subs or pizza but my friends swear by them that they are just as good. I am not gonna lie, because it is still a hole in the wall and not a fine dining restaurant, but when I review a place, I review it with perspective so I obviously am not comparing this to a fine dining place. For what it is, I was blown away by how good this place is for what it is- a gas station carryout/delivery. They have other locations and I cannot speak for them but this one at the Exxon near the Mall is a pleasant surprise- I still am not sure how they can make money off of the size of the italian entrees they give out- 3 big ass sausage links for a dollar???! LOL read more

This should be a 3.5. The food is not half bad for delivery from a gas station. The cheese-steak is a tad oiled which I can expect if it was attached to a BP but it's attached to an Exxon and...oh yeah. Anyways, the Gyros are awesome the cheese-steakes are decent for MD and the pizza isn't as bad as you would think. The best part of this joint is the delivery service. I tend to be a heavy tipper 45+% and these dudes remember that. No joke within 20 minutes sometime less than 15 after I order the food is at my house piping hot. If you are within their territory I would give them a shout. Added bonus and a + 5 for respect, they never menu spam my door like so many other delivery restaurants. Bottom line: Decent price, quick delivery, and the food isn't bad at all. Well except for the cheeseburger sub and any seafood dish. I mean that's just common sense Who The Eff orders shrimp from a gas station I mean really? read more

Amazing pizza and fast delivery. This is our go-to pizza place and I'm so picky. Everything is good here. The lasagna is amazing and the quesadillas are huge. The stromboli is crazy good. Not enough people know about this place. Love the suvbs, mozzarella sticks, and fettuccine alfredo. Can you tell I frequent this place a lot? Love it!! read more

When I was growing up I would frequently get cheeseburger subs and cheesesteaks from a place that closed several years ago. I have hunted far and wide for a place that came close to the quality without gouging the price, and I was lucky enough to find Waterloo Pizza. My buddy and I agree that this place is even better than the old closed restaurant of our childhood. My wife and I have been getting delivery from here pretty much consistently every week for the past several months now. They've never let us down. Piles and piles of good quality meat, cheese, and veggies, often with a side of their jalapeno poppers (which are huge and crisp compared to other places). You honestly would not expect this place to be serving out of a gas station. read more

Since my first review this establishment has gone down hill. It's clear they have found all new employers. Most can't speak English, understand or take orders correctly. Food has been arriving cold and late compared to their usual speedy, prompt delivery. We have ordered delivery from this place of business for over 4 years, on average 3 times a week. Lately my food has been undercooked, incorrect, and cold. Not to mention forgetting important items as dressing, celery with wings, and a simple 2 liter which was paid for. Tisk Tisk! Finding a new, local, reliable delivery service in the food industry immediately! read more

Ordered delivery from these guys, and while the pizza wasn't exactly offensive, the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Guy who answered the phone acted like my calling him for a pizza was an enormous inconvenience. He gave me crap for not knowing the menu, then sneered when I asked for the website so I can look at it myself (BTW, if you google "Waterloo pizza Columbia, you'll get these guys: http://bit.ly/yjFlVl . It's a different place. The guy on the phone told me. Repeatedly.). Yeah, no website. I guess they still think it's 1994. Yelp was telling me the pizza was good, though, so I ordered anyhow. The pizza was meh. Meh at best. read more

As good if not better than I remember! Ordered a steak quesadilla. Came with wedges. Both were piping hot and delicious. Ordered a pizza later and can only say the same, hot and delicious. I lived here years ago and once and a while I'm back in the area and still order from here. The food is only getting better. read more

These guys are so great! I routinely order a salad or something with extra tomato and they really give me lots of extra tomato. I've lived in Columbia for almost 2 years now. I don't order out much but when I want pizza or subs, I order from Waterloo. Everything I've gotten here has been delicious. Their wings, pizza, cheesesteaks, gyros, Italian coldcuts and their Alfredo pasta is delicious. I'm never disappointed and their prices are super reasonable. They always come way before the eta. Also, whenever I ask for special instructions, they always accommodate. Waterloo is definitely a go-to. read more

This pizza was amazing. Seriously the best pizza I've had in a long time! We got buffalo chicken pizza... two nights in a row

I ordered delivery and got a small cheese pizza and tiramisu. My order was correct and everything tasted good. It is definitely a NY slice and doesn't disappoint when you crave pizza. The crust was a little dry for me but other than that very good. My family also liked it. The tiramisu was actually really nice and I wasn't expecting that. It was light, not too sweet and with a strong coffee flavor. Overall good food and would order again. read more
