In case anyone missed the sign outside, this is the place where UPS came about. The story behind this was that the ladies of the place couldnt go outside to do their errands because people did not like the kind of job they did so they had errand boys do their stuff for them. And soon it became UPS. So whenever you see their little short short uniforms you know how it came about lol. Other than that, the waterfall garden was really nice and peaceful even though when I went there were so many kids screaming and yelling. It is a nice spot to come and enjoy your lunch on lunch break though. If I lived here I would definitely just come and chill but too bad I live in OC! read more

We actually paid for parking to visit here. Waste of money. It smelled of chemicals and looked as if someone threw bubbles in it. If I worked in the area it might be a nice place to bring your lunch too. But as a tourist place as It was advertised to me it was ehhh. read more

Take your crush to this secret garden. You'll be a fan too.

Came in here with my kiddos on our walk in the area! Nice little hidden spot. Secret garden with waterfall.

Well, I don't know how fair this review is going to be, but this is my first experience at the Waterfall Garden: Two friends and I ventured here so I could take some engagement photos for them (I wasn't getting paid). I had a lightstand with an umbrella setup for a couple of shots 'cause the lighting inside can be pretty horrendous. We were approached by an older man with a very thick accent and I was, honestly, having a hard time understanding him. He said something about commercial photography not being allowed here, which I understood and tried to explain this wasn't commercial, I was doing this for free for my friends. Again, he kept saying "no commercial photography here, need permit, you put that away." I ended up putting the lightstand away and just shot with the camera (Nikon D90, thrifty fifty). Still, he hovered around us pretending to be tidying up already clean tables. Sucks that I felt like we were treated like we weren't welcome -- we even waited to shoot by the waterfall until after all the tour groups passed through and left so we wouldn't be disturbing anyone. Aside from that, I guess it's a nice little getaway. You can't really hear the traffic next to the booming waterfall. Maybe I'd enjoy it if I came here, not to take pictures, but to read and eat lunch. Wait, do I need a permit for that, too? read more

Well if this wasn't the most random thing to stumble upon amongst office buildings. Pretty little oasis. But don't go out of your way for it. read more

This place is such a peaceul little park. It's a nice area to listen to your I-Pod, journal, reflect on life, etc. Anytime I want to go to a little oasis, but, I don't have time or energy to head to Golden Gardens or Alki, I go to this place. Very peaceful; I love it. Its a great place to cool off during the heat of summer too... Great spot. read more

This place was a surprise. It'd get five stars from me if it weren't for the homeless and the rat that scooted past me at a lightning-fast pace (that'll lift your feet off the ground!). We walked here with sandwiches picked up from Salumi's. Very fun, very unique experience. It's like an oasis. Kudos to UPS for creating this space for us to escape to. read more

Best place for lunch and lunch dates if you work close by. Grab your lunch to-go and sit at one of these small patio table and chair sets. It's man-made waterfall but the garden itself is beautiful. This place is a gem! read more

this waterfall garden was created to honor the people of the ups. we came here because someone we met on the streets told us this would be a nice place to visit since it's free and beautiful. we stopped by and stared in awe of the waterfall that seemed to be so out of place on the busy streets outside. it's a very small area, but it's very relaxing. as you can see from the pictures, there are chairs and tables to chill or study. read more

How did I not know this place existed? Gosh, it's simply stunning! So beautiful. Kind of hidden, but I consider that a good thing. Lunch is a bad time to visit because it is crowded and loud. Summer evenings are my favorite. I enjoy sitting at one of the tables with a friend and a cup of coffee and do the classic Seattle hipster thing. We're just missing a laptop and those black-rimmed emo glasses. read more

I visited the waterfall garden for a landscape architecture class at UW, and this little space is probably one of the most incredible parks I have ever been to. The noise of the water, the sense of enclosure, and the smell of the plants are so beautiful and calming. It's a great place to spend the afternoon. It is very easy to forget that you are in the middle of the city while you are there among the rocks and trees. I will be back as soon as I get the chance. read more

Cool spot in downtown Seattle, definitely worth a quick visit if you're just exploring the area and taking in the scenery downtown has to offer. read more

Peace, in the middle of Pioneer Square. If you can find parking, you have the perfect spot to enjoy and sandwich and your book.

It's a little hidden area near Occidental Square and not particularly much to it, but we enjoyed it. My 18 month old has a fascination with quick moving water (falls, creeks, rivers, etc) so I thought we should check this out. We walked from Pike's Market which took a while but it was worth it. He really enjoyed it. It's a nice peaceful little spot in the city. We hung out for maybe 20 minutes, checked out the different water features, and took some pictures. Worth the time. read more

This place really sneaks up on you, you have to know where to look. Once you do, you'll keep coming back when you're in the area. A tranquil place to relax in the middle of the city, and considering where you are the waterfall really is spectacular. Go in the morning or afternoon. Other people know about this place at lunchtime. read more

I'm really happy I got to see this. The urban waterfall was absolutely gorgeous and a pleasant break from the touristy things we've been doing all day long. Plus, it's a fantastic photo op spot! read more

A beautiful, breathing oasis in the middle of the hot, hobo-infested wasteland south of Pioneer Square. If you've got a portable lunch carry it down here to eat some time. Gets crowded mid-days though, so a little before or after noon is probably best. read more

So very beautiful in the middle of the city. Nice place to meditate.

Random waterfall memorial for men and women that serve at UPS? This quite, serene, and picturesque hidden gem leaves you scratching your head and gazing in wonder. A nice place to have lunch or read a book but the waterfall is actually pretty loud if you need to take a call. Come on a sunny day an grab a sandwich from Salumi http://www.yelp.com/biz/salumi-artisan-cured-meats-seattle-2#hrid:4TV6MA806-4HojlE8lSyvQ or one of the other local eateries. Only issue is you need to pay for parking across the street so not really worth a stand alone visit :(. read more

It was a quick and easy stop to check out. Its not a huge place and not much to see, but the garden was great, and I only recommend to go during hte day or else you wont be able to see anything. read more

It was great to sit down here and rest. So peaceful and beautiful! Everything was fairly clean and well set.

It's a cute little urban park space. Calling it a "park" would be stretching it, but it's a nice little niche carved out of a city block, good for taking your lunch too. There are plenty of little round tables and chairs. read more

Cute little gated garden in the city with waterfalls. Nice place to come and enjoy some serenity whilst escaping the bustle of the city. Nice place for a coffee date . Has a few tables and chairs. I didn't even know this little spot of peacefullness existed in the city until about a year ago. I come here every now and again to relax during my work day. I love the waterfall and trees in this little urban park. Tiny little getaway in the city :) read more

I wandered into this little garden with a roaring waterfall and shady places to sit. This is a nice place to sit and relax in the shade or enjoy the sound of the water. I was compelled to sit down and relax for a few minutes before I made on my way. A nice oasis from the heat of the day. read more

It is a cute park for a quick brown bag lunch getaway with tables and flowers. If I worked in the area, I would certainly bring my lunch here. read more

It's an awesome place to work. The waterfall provides just enough noise to cover up people's conversations. Of course, you can still hear sirens and such going by, but, for the most past, it's calming. read more

Another stop we made as part of our speedy tourist stops in Seattle. I didn't read much about it before coming but was a bit baffled that it was a man-made waterfall attached to a building. Pretty random with chairs and table seating for public lounging and relaxing. Not much parking on a Sunday. Beautiful and is probably a great place to getaway to when the weather is beatiful and you want a bit of shade. In the middle of January, it's cold and we stayed long enough to get a few shots and jet. read more

Great place to go an escape to in the middle of the work day. Lots of seating and well maintained and clean. I love going here on a sunny day to eat my lunch. There is a security guard who patrols the area, and usually is froendly. Great little secert of Pioneer Square. read more

Beautiful secluded little park that is nestled around a roaring waterfall. Perfect place to unwind and break up the day of walking around the city to just enjoy everything around you. There are tables and chairs scattered around along with plenty of photo-opp spots all around... what's best is that it never seems to get overly crowded which adds to the serenity. read more

Please post the right time. Yesterday was our 26th wedding anniversary and today we came to the park cuz 27 years ago this was one of our dating spots. So yelp shows 5:30 close time. So we came all the way down here n paid $5 for one hour of parking. Guess what it closed at 3:45. This is the 2nd time this happened. Last summer we brought our friends down here in the afternoon n again it was closed. Today, this was suppose to be the cherry on the on the top in honor of our anniversary and it was disappointing to see it closed read more

This place is so sick. Everyone has to see this! your just walking down on the grungy loud sidewalk in downtown, then you turn the corner and bam! a quiet oasis of green plants, trees and a beautiful waterfall. it is sooo pretty in there. they have a bunch of tables so you can grab a coffee and sit there for as long as you want. im going to have to make this a regular spot. read more

A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. It's like stepping into another world. Seek it out - it's worth it.

I have to give it 5 stars. This is the founding of my company UPS..started one hundred and 4 years ago .. see the plaque. Otherwise the bums of pioneer permeate (and i use that in several ways) the area. read more

Beautiful and peaceful. It's much smaller than I expected, but when I went to look it up here I realized there is also a Waterfall Park in Seattle. I think that is what I was looking for. Still glad I found this. If I'd known about it Sunday, we would've taken our lunch there to eat. read more

my favorite place to come during lunch time at work. very peaceful tranquility to vent my daily reflections on snapchat. since i found out about this place first everyone started coming to this hidden gem in pioneer sq. my only complaint is the bugs or mosquitoes or whatever flying around near the entrance.
