This is one of my favorite courses. Coming from out of state this was well kept greens and the course was amazing. It was challenging and fun. The bunkers armrests well kept the fairways are clean and its pin placements were great! Going to be my place to play whenever I'm back at Dallas. read more

Had an awesome round. Pace of play was not a problem. Pro shop employees were too kind. Clarence was super hospitable and outgoing towards us. We were in town for a guys trip and this was 1of 3 courses we played. This was the median course of the three. Course was pretty well maintained. Nice carts with gps, radio/bluetooth and speakers, and sports scoreboards. We were originally paired with another twosome, but they did not show, so they pulled the twosome from the next tee time forward to join us. This wasn't a problem except for the fact the group in front of us delayed us so much that the group 20min behind us caught up. There was a cart girl and we saw her three times. The second time she came around we were on hole 13 or 14 and she had only one soda for beverages and a few candy bars for a snack. Said they don't allow them to bring the hot dogs out on the course. By the time we saw her again we were already heading to the green on 18. Would I play it again if a buddy wanted to... sure. But this was the most expensive of our trip and for a better price I would recommend The Courses at Watters Creek. read more

Clarence in the pro shop is the man. Every time I walk in he remembers me whether it be 6 months or a week since I had played here. Always accommodating and friendly. Not only are Clarence and the rest of the staff great but the course is incredible. Every green is in great shape compared to other places and the fairways are immaculate. Recently I visited Waterchase Golf Club and my tee time was at 7:20 on a Tuesday. I had never played at waterchase before but I play golf very frequently. I arrived to the course at 7:12 to check in thinking I could pay and get to the tee box with plenty of time to spare. The man who was at the counter proceeded to give me a hard time that I didn't check in earlier , and then also questioned why I wasn't paying for my father to play since Father's Day had just passed. This was already a sign of the contempt the man had for me and the pride of the course itself. I ignored the comments and proceeded to pay my fee, while letting them know an emergency came up with my family and that they were sick and not able to make the tee time. I figured this would be okay since it was 7 in the morning and I was still paying for myself to play, the man proceeded to get upset saying that the course was busy and the spots would've been taken, again it was 7 am and the emergency happened the night before. He then told me a 4 some would go in front of me because I was playing alone and then paired me up with two randoms to which I didn't mind and apologized for not canceling before I arrived for the three others. He told me that Bryson Dechambo played there and that the course was very busy, but I had my doubts that three tee times would Have been booked between 6:30-7 of that same morning, and I also wasn't even aware Bryson had played there. Before I left he proceeded to say 'you're not from around here are you?' , to which I took offense but told him I was from San Antonio, overall , it shouldn't matter if I am paying customer like everybody else. Where I am from , pro shop men understand things happen and don't mind people playing alone, but to him it was all about the money and pride of the course . I then picked up my wife in my cart and was heading to the tee box when i saw the man standing outside stopping me from going because I had to pay a spectators of 37$. This was shocking because I had never paid such a ridiculous amount of money for someone to ride , usually at nicer courses they don't mind and let my wife play with me or at other public courses they may charge a small fee, but either way, the spot would've been empty, I was being charged just because someone filled a seat that would have been empty in the first place. The man told me that I was getting a good deal and that I should feel lucky, overall he was rude , greedy and arrogant towards me when I was the one paying to play and was not rude back. So overall the course looked great and I would like to play it but the customer service from that man is terrible and he just wants to fill up spots more than understand things happen and that it's just a golf course, I took my refund and told a few of my family members that frequent that course including Mike Slaughter. I hope this doesn't happen to others but Be careful if you are under 30 , you will get disrespected because of your age. read more

Beautiful course. My boyfriend took me here and said it was his favorite course in Texas. Upon arrival, I was confused by the club house...which was just a trailer...and then I got on the course and thought "ohhhhh" because the course is so well kept, you can tell this course puts their money where it matters. Beautiful oaks and creeks on the first 3 holes and then it opens up. Clean cut greens, ice cold water, good place of play, friendly staff at the clubhouse. Back 9 is longgg which we enjoyed. Our group was a mix of beginners, intermediates, and experienced golfers and everyone was able to play. Really appreciated the female starter explaining the course/clubhouse / golf in general to me. She was professional and informed. I highly recommend this course! read more

This course continues to impress me. At twice or more the green frees this is a 5 star deal. The layout and conditions are amazing ( especially after all the rain). They should be run a school on hiring too. ALL the people are friendly , accommodating and kind. I hate to Promote this place for fear of attracting too many players. Most any playing level will enjoy this from the various tees.... but it also offers as much as you want, from the two back tees. Fabulous !! Thanks for being in my backyard too. read more

Firstly, I'd like to mention that I've played at waterchase several times and have never had any issues with the condition of the course or the staff. Yet, today was a bit of a mess. Before our team tee, we asked the assigner, BIlly, if he knew where the people were who had the tee time before us, since we were supposed to tee off in a few minutes. He sarcastically responded why several times which was extremely unnecessary. Then, as we were trying to tee off Billy approaches us and asks if we are religious. We are, but that question seems a bit inappropriate. Then he lectured us on the importance of patience for 5-10 minutes all while the group in front of us had left and we should've teed off. Then, after my buddies in the cart ahead of us went to play the hole, he stopped my cart to explain the he lectured us to teach my friend in the cart in front of me the importance of patience. Eventually, we teed off but Billy followed us throughout the course. Then on hole 4, Billy returned back to talk to us. After my buddy, who is fairly new to golf, topped his driver off the tee box Billy made a sly comment which furthermore seemed unneeded. Then, he continued to lecture me and my buddy on the importance of stack and tilt in the golf swing for about 5 minutes all while we should've been playing. My buddy and I listened to him to be polite, but we just wanted to get on with our round. Then he followed us to our approach shot and updated on Donald Trump getting shot. We just wanted to golf. Our next encounter with Billy was on hole 12, and Billy told us that this should be our last hole, since the sprinklers were going to come on at 8. Seemed fair enough. But we finished whole 12 at 7:54 and we thought we could get one more hole in real quick before the sprinklers came on. We finished out the hole and the sprinklers never came on. Then we finished hole 13 at about 8:02 and went to head back to the club house like Billy told us to. Then as we were passing hole 15 on our way back he cuts us off and forced us to go back the other to the club house. Once he sent us back he went to chase my buddies who were a bit ahead of us back to the club house. As he followed my buddies all the way back to club house, he passed other groups actively teeing off and still chose to pursue my friends for some reason. Then, he followed us back to our car and told us we had been "blackballed" from the course. Immediately we tried to reason with him since we love playing at waterchase. But Billy was having none of it. The whole time he was extremely disrespectful and wouldn't let us say our side. We tried to ask why we were being blacklisted from the course even though there were groups still playing on the course. Eventually, we gave up on Billy and went into the club house to talk to management. Clarence (I think that's his name I apologize if that's wrong), the manager, on the other hand was respectful. We had a genuine conversation and came to peace what with had happened. Also, from what we can gather, the manager never said anything about blacklisting us from the course. In fact, he spoke extremely highly of us and said he constantly bragged about our group and how respectful and polite we always are. He even told us he wanted us to work there. In the end, it was just a messy experience as a whole. read more

I'm a frequent customer here and I've had absolutely no problems till today. The Marshall Billy was crazy disrespectful from the very start. At the beginning our tee time was 2 min away and the group before us was yet to tee off because the others were not there yet. I asked Billy if the other two were there and he only said to me why five times. I was so confused. Then while the other group had teed off he stayed there lecturing us for 10 min. Then when my cart left he told the other people in my group that the lecture was for me because I was disrespectful for asking a simple question. Then he kept following throughout the course and stopping us mid round. Furthermore, he was making fun of our friend for not being that good. Then he stopped us to give us a 15 min lesson over the importance on stack and tilt. Lastly at 7:45 he told us the sprinklers were going off at 8 while we were in hole 12 and once we finished hole 12 it was 7:54 and we thought we could rush and play another hole which we did. However the sprinklers only went off on the practice green which we thought it was the actual course by what he was saying. Then me and my buddy were driving back to the clubhouse from hole 13 which is a long drive and he started following us the whole way. Once we drove passed 18 we saw people teeing off on 13, yet Billy started chasing us back to our car. The first words he told us when he got to the car was were blackballed which wth does that mean. Then any time I talked he would interrupt me and ask me if I owned the course. Obviously I said no but he was terrible rude any time I talked. I was trying to communicate that we we were confused why we had to leave so sudden because it had never happened before, but all he did was get in our face and start yelling at us. Then he offered us $300 not sure why he did. We were kinda confused. All we wanted was reassurance on why we had to leave so early and he was not good at explaining. Lastly we went into the clubhouse to know that the manager has always been extremely pleased with our group and has no trouble. The manager said nothing about blacklisting instead he says only good things about us. Last thing on the side is not to play twilight if you're looking for more than 12 holes because they will just shut the course down early without telling you before hand. Not sure why everything went wrong today but hopefully something can change. read more

I have played this course a couple times and had no problem with the conditions or the workers until today. Just before teeing off on hole 1 The starter Marshall or should I say the follower was giving me and my buddy a lecture about religion which was pretty odd. Through out the round he was giving my other 2 friends golf lessons . Then he kept stopping us throughout the rounds for no reason at all. We got to hole 12 and of course he comes by one more time and tells us the sprinklers were going off at 8. We got done playing the hole at 7:54 and then we thought we could speed play 13 which we did. Then me and my friend were driving back and there he was following us again. We were going all the way back to the clubhouse which takes a long time. We got to hole 18 and saw two other golfers just teeing off at 13. Billy disregarded them and followed us back to our car. Once he got there he got out of the cart and starting getting in our faces. He told us we were blackballed. Then he offered us money because he knew is was in the wrong, when we got to the clubhouse the manager greeted us normal and told us he wanted us to work there. The manager didn't tell us we were blackballed he actually wanted us to keep coming back but I don't know about that one big man. read more

I play this golf course regularly. One of the best layouts in DFW, and the conditions are always top notch. Clarence and the rest of the staff are always nice and helpful. The club house isn't anything spectacular but that's ok cause it's all about the golf. Each golf hole is different and gives you a new challenge. One of the only courses in the area where you will truly use every club in the bag throughout your round. read more

Fantastic course. I'm a 1 handicap so I typically play from the tips, and man this course was fairly tough. Greens were rolling really well, fairways were in great shape, tee boxes were well maintained. I'm visiting from St. Louis, MO and was looking for a nice round on a reasonably priced course, and Waterchase fit the bill perfectly. The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment I got out of my car. Two team members who were getting carts ready both greeted me warmly. The pro shop staff was friendly as well. When I mentioned I was from out of town, the pro made sure to clearly explain where the range, putting green and first tee were located, and gave me some local advice about the course. I was playing as a single and was to be paired with a 3-some. The starter came to find me on the range and ask if I'd be willing to move up one tee times to join a 2-some to keep pace-of-play balanced, which I very much appreciate. The course itself was in great shape and I found the layout very interesting and challenging. Greens were firm and fast and it was a challenge getting approach shots on the right side of the cup without any local knowledge to help me, but that's fine. Overall I had a great experience and would play there again anytime. The value for the $ was off the chart and the customer service was outstanding. read more

We had a decent time golfing at this golf course. Fairways and greens were nicely kept. For the cost of this course I would expect for them to have a nice clubhouse to relax and have a drink and maybe some good food. The trailer house pro shop canned beer and ham sandwich did not meet my expectations. I'll go again but strictly for golf. read more

Decided to give this course a try after hearing positive things about it. Played Around 1 May after some big rains. Course seem to drain well and was in great shape. Greens were excellent and as good as I've played in a long time. Would definitely go back and play this course again and again. read more

Great layout and well-maintained. Looks like a country club, especially the clubhouse. 7300 yards at the back tees, 4900 at the front. It used to be called the Links at Waterchase, but now its Waterchase Golf Course. It follows the Trinity and has a couple of holes with waterfalls for the views. A challenging course. Slope rating is 137 to 123. Its worth a try for any type of golfer. read more

I love this track and try to make an excuse to play it as often as possible. Always in great condition. Lots of water and sand and other treats to shut you down on a hole. Ok these other guys got the facts of the course right. Considering they didn't right a review about their experience of the course. I play here after work and I get there to tee off around 6:30 p.m. I pay $22 to play as much as i can. I'll be able to get through around 16-17 holes alone in that time before it gets too dark for me to see the ball. This course is very well maintained. Soft greens for your balls to stick (even with these 90+ degrees weather). Fairways are trimmed and soft enough to get your divots at ball strike. Greens read very true and this course is very well protected with bunkers and water everywhere. I love the layout of this course as well. Makes for a very challenging course. This course is not made for the new comers / beginners of golf. You will lose so many balls and you won't find any extras either hahah. The only reason I'm giving this course 4 stars and not 5 is because for the price you pay, the carts don't come with GPS to help you out on this tough course. The golf course was in great shape for how little rain we've received lately. Greens were in perfect shape, fairways are greening up nicely, and the staff was super friendly. If you can block out the lack of a nice club house, Waterchase might be the best conditioned public course in DFW. Love the Waterfall located behind the 9th and 18th greens. Be ready for hole 17. One of the most beautiful courses in the metroplex. Clubhouse isn't much to look at, but it's because they put all of their money and energy into the course. This is DFW golf at its finest. Roughs were long and sticky. The layout is phenomenal with minimal housing or industry. It really gives you the feeling of being in nature, which is refreshing given the amount of golf courses built with the surrounding real estate in mind.
