I have been using Filter-Right for 11 years for our water softening and whole-house filtration,…read morewith Tim Lassiter as my main contact the entire time. During a recent routine maintenance check on my water softener, Tim asked if my electric bill had been unusually high lately. It turned out it had--it was nearly double for the past four months! Tim explained that while working on the system with the well water shut off, he noticed the well pump continuously running when it should have been idle. He suspected a corrosion leak was causing the pump to run constantly trying to fill the expansion tank, which also explained our severely diminished water pressure. When I mentioned our electric bills had jumped by over $600 compared to the previous year, he urged me to call a well company. My well company came out immediately and found a galvanized coupler at the bottom of the well with a large hole eaten through it by corrosion. Not only was this wasting electricity and killing our water pressure, but letting it continue would have burned out the pump entirely. Faced with a $600 repair bill for a 11-year-old system, I decided to go ahead and replace the entire well pump setup for $1,700 rather than sink money into a temporary fix--especially since a standard service call just to check out the system is $525. Tim's keen observation saved us from a total system failure and even more expensive repairs down the road. He really knows his stuff and is an exceptional diagnostician. I am thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend Filter-Right and Tim.

After looking at some DIY quality systems requiring notable maintenance, and having a high pressure in-home water analysis, I finally came across Tim of Filter Right. First, Tim answers the phone; no AI screen or answering services. His great knowledge and trustworthiness was immediately apparent. Tim confidently conveyed what we needed, foregoing a hard-sell based on claims of water unsafety. He shared the details of the whole-house filter he recommended and added us to his install schedule. A couple of week later, Tim showed up at the scheduled time and performed an efficient and clean install. He provide a helpful tutorial and said that I should expect to be able to enjoy the necessary filtering for about 5 years before any service would be needed. The improvement of the quality of our water was virtually immediate. Thereafter, we have enjoyed our improved water without interuption. It was a pleasure working with Tim and his straight-forward and honest persona. I am so glad I persisted in my efforts to find a quality whole-house water filtration system.

My top 3 quotes all included replacing the galavanized pipes and a new hot water heater, which I needed. I personally called Doug and told him I wanted all the galvanized pipes replaced from the meter main line. He said they can do it and to text him my info. Within a week I chose them. They were the cheapest he said he'd beat my lowest offer and he did by a little. We confirmed the work to remove all galvanize pipes, install Pex, and install the heat. Doug and Scott came Thursday May 23rd and completed the work Friday May 24th around 8pm. He advised they had problems getting the right part from the supply house. I asked him if he changed all the galvanized pipes he said 'Yes ma'am'. The next morning we were able to go into the basement but saw the main water line was not done. The main pipe that brings water INTO the house. I believe they just didn't want to do it because it took longer than they thought. I told him I was confused as to why he didn't do that. I asked for it. He said he didn't quote me for that... that is incorrect and I have the estimate and message that says "replace galvanized pipe". I asked Scott about it and he said that Doug is the boss and they went back and forth about it but Doug decided not to do it because he didn't quote me for it. Well... Doug sent me an estimate and had several conversations via text with me saying he would replace the galavanized pipes. Doug represented his estimate as the full services I requested. He confirmed to me that he was replacing ALL galvanized pipe. He NEVER told me he was not doing the main pipe. I would have never chose his quote. It didnt make sense to do so. I wanted the all galvanized pipes replaced. Doug commited Fraud. Doug had the nerve to tell me they would go back and do the water line for the discounted price of $800 since they were already doing work on my pipes. They usually charge 1800. They owe me between $1600-1800. Pending. Doug is slow to respond and ignored my request for a refund. They left trash (coke bottles, wrappers) in my yard and basement and old pipe pieces everywhere. I have photos. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I was…read morebeyond disappointed with my experience with K Harris Plumbing and strongly advise others to stay away. I had recently purchased a new home and had only lived in it for 30 days before their plumber's negligence caused my basement to flood. I had paid $7,000 for a sewer line replacement, and despite taking my full payment, the plumber failed to complete the job. He had left my home exposed from the outside, allowing water to pour in during a storm three weeks later. This was no accident -- it was pure negligence. When he finally returned after the flooding, he casually admitted that he had been supposed to come back three weeks earlier to lay cement over the area he worked on but failed to do so. That level of carelessness was completely unacceptable. Because of his negligence, I had to endure devastating damage. My finished basement had to be gutted -- all the drywall was ripped out, mold remediation had to take place, my engineered hardwood floors were destroyed, and I had been dealing with contractors in and out of my house. Two and a half months later, the situation was still ongoing. I still had no floors. My drywall was still missing. My home remained a disaster and unusable, and I hadn't been able to enjoy it since the nightmare began. To make matters worse, I had to miss several days of work to manage the non-ending contractors, all while enduring the overwhelming stress of the constant repairs. On top of that, a strong odor lingered in my house, making it even more difficult to live in. I was forced to stay in a hotel and with family for a while. I am a mother of a two-year-old, and the strain this placed on my family was immeasurable. What was even more appalling was the complete lack of accountability from K Harris Plumbing. Despite everything I went through, I never heard again from Kenny the plumber again after he returned after the flood to put cement on the neglected area. He put me in contact with his insurance company and that was it. This happened in February 2025. Since then there was no follow-up, no check-in to see how I was managing, and absolutely no effort to make things easier for me. Even after I reached out to the company/ Kenny the Plumber via email to explain the severity of the damage they caused and how it turned my life upside down. I was ignored. Not even a single apology or a partial refund. I deeply regret my decision to hire this company. It was devastating to invest in a new home only to have it ruined by the very people I trusted to do their job. I urged others to learn from my experience with this K Harris Plumbing and take caution.

Came home and found the front planting beds covered with water. I was hoping that my wife just over watered the front plants. Not so lucky! I went down in my basement and shut off the incoming water valve (next to the incoming water line that services my home), and still heard running water on the other side of the cement wall. Not good, at this point knew I had a broken service line. Went up to the street and turned off the water at the county water meter. I started to dig up my planting beds to find the leak. I decided (at my age), that I'd rather just pay a plumber to fix the problem. I called TKO Plumbing and got an appointment later in the afternoon. John and his partner (sorry, don't remember your name) called exactly 30-minutes before they arrived. Told John what I found and they started to finish the excavation of about another foot of dirt. They found the leak at a broken elbow just outside the exterior wall. They fixed in no time, but had to wait an hour for the glue to dry before re-applying the water pressure at the water meter. Works fine, and will hopefully last a long time. Real happy with the company's quick response and the work the guys did. Will continue to use TKO Plumbing for all my future Plumbing needs.
