I have a small, old clock that requires a special battery and teeny tiny tools to open the back of the clock to get to the battery compartment. I brought it here to have a pro take care of it. This store is located on the first floor of The Shops at Mission Viejo near Macy's. I showed him the clock and said I'd be back in an hour to pick it up. He responded by saying not to go anywhere as it would only take him a few seconds to take care of it. It literally took him two minutes. Quick and a fair price for a battery change. After many attempts and watching videos I was at my wits end trying to set the correct time ! We were looking for a watch shop to replace some batteries. Watch Works was the first shop we walked into. Their prices were reasonable, so we didn't have to look any further. The guy helping us was very knowledgeable of their products and services. For battery replacements, they don't charge the same price per watch. They charge according to the type/brand of watch you have, which is great. Some places charge the same high rate no matter what type of watch you have. We had batteries changed on two watches and we were in and out within 10-15 mins. Other than selling and repairing watches, looks like they provide other services, as well, such as jewelry cleaning. I paid $100 to repair a Seiko Astron. The repair failed and I returned the watch and because of the complexity of the problem, Watch Works had to send it out to the national Seiko service center in New Jersey. I was wincing at the thought of how much I would have to pay for the repair but when I picked it up, the guy behind the counter told me no extra charge since I had already paid. and handed me my watch with a smile. I said that surely I must owe something since Seiko must have charged Watch Works more than the $100 I originally paid them. He said maybe so but they don't charge their customers twice. Little background, I've purchased a watch here, so I came back to get a new watch battery, I see this guy behind the counter, when I walk in, no one is in the store. The man who sized my watch is a scammer. He broke the link and tried to blame it on me saying I handed it to him that way. The watch was brand spankin new when I handed it over. It was a michael kors watch my mother gave to me as a gift and was very special to me. He proceeded to talk trash on costco (where my mother bought the watch) saying return it and bring the new one back. He did this because costco is beating his prices and clearly he is trying to get back at them by taking advantage of seemingly clueless customers. He ended up fixing the link pin after I asked him to attach the extra links back on the band and refund my money. I am a long time yelp viewer but first time poster because this put me over the top.
