It is easy to tell that the young man that runs this shop loves his work. I saw him handel 8 customers at one time (at closing time), one of which was extremely demanding with 21 watches that either needed repair or batteries. His prices are very fair and this is the second time I used him in the past year. For all you single young women, the owner, Steve, is a good looking courteous man. Best experience ever! I brought my mickey mouse watch in for repair after another place messed it up. This is not an expensive watch but I have worn it for 30 years and my mother wore it for 10 before giving it to me, invaluable sentimental value to me. When Steve went to replace the "works" unfortunately the decal on the face had become water damaged due to improper crystal replacement by the first repair shop. When I came to get my watch, Steve showed and explained what happened. I was devastated! My watch "micky" and the numbers were ruined. We discussed replacing the face but he had nothing in stock small enough. I left my watch with him over the weekend when I returned on Monday he had found a classic Micky face to replace my ruined one! My watch) is like new again!! He only charged for the crystal and "works" replacement as originally quoted, very reasonable! !! Steve is very professional and knowledgeable with Rolex watches. If you need your watch fixed, you must go to Steve. He is very honest and has reasonable prices. Other places wanted to charge me double of what he charged and told me that I needed to replace an additional part that was not broken. Why would you trust someone who's trying to rip you off just for changing a battery? I have a feeling all of these reviewers are the owner's friends & family. Here's my story...went in to get my battery replaced on a few of my wristwatches. Picked them up & everything seemed great! Great price, easy pick up. Great until I went to wear one of my watches...battery wasn't working. So of course I took it back. The owner claimed it wasn't the battery, but rather dust inside the watch that he would gladly clean for $5. Really? A new battery a week old doesn't work? Who is he kidding? Then told me that if the dusting didn't help then he would have to fix it for $50! What a con artist! Then he started telling at me saying the watch was old & that's why it wasn't working. When I asked for my watch back, he wanted to keep the "new" battery he had just out in a week ago. This guy is a scam artist! When I told a few friends, they said they had the same thing happen to them & had heard the same from other too! Stay away from this place! Just because he's cheap, doesn't mean he's not working an angle. Be warned! read more

Sevag is FANTASTIC! I went to this watch store a couple of months ago to get a battery put in my watch. We went to this shop and were in and out with a new battery and a smile on my face in less than two minutes. I forgot about this place until my mother and I were trying to get my grandfathers watch fixed for my brother as a surprise. We were told by all other watch repairs that it is not possible and they were not helpful. BUT we went to Watch the Time as a last resort and Sevag fixed it for us for a fabulous price! My Tag Heuer SeaRacer Chronograph had failed and Watch the Time was one of only a few shops that repair Tags in the Valley. I took it to him based on the reviews posted in Yelp and a brief chat with Seveg on the phone. After examining the watch he determined that it needed a new mechanism and quoted $200 out the door to replace it (a very good price). Three days later it was done and seemed to be working fine. Only later did I find that one of the special regatta functions of the chronograph wasn't working. When I told Seveg of the problem he immediately accepted responsibility for making it right. It turned out the replacement mechanism didn't have the special regatta feature and none with that feature were available. Nevertheless he undertook to fully resolve the problem and after a couple of days he had worked miracles and the chronograph worked perfectly. There was no additional charge for the extra work. Sevag is a very responsible and skilled craftsman with outstanding integrity. I wouldn't hesitate to entrust the repair of any fine timepiece to him. read more

I took my new Tag Heuer Link Calibre 16 watch to Watch the Time to have the band adjusted. I chose this shop because of high review ratings online. At the shop, I met Sevag (owner/operator). He suggested which link to remove (large/small), and told me that if he was wrong, he would re-adjust it. I am glad to say he adjusted the band expertly the first time. The watch fits and balances beautifully. I plan on bringing some other watches to him to have them adjusted and repaired. The shop is located in the same building as a produce market, and parking is a little confusing for a first time visitor. But don't let that deter you. This guy knows watches and his customer service is excellent. My review would be 5 stars, but since my experience only involved an adjustment and not a repair, I gave 4 stars. read more

Our 1950's house came with a built-in Nutone clock in the kitchen, but the electric motor had long since stopped working. We'd heard that it could be possible to convert it to a battery-operated clock, but that we'd have to replace the clock's original hands to accommodate the new movement. I took the clock to Steve and explained that we wanted it to remain as original as possible and look the same. Steve understood the clock's sentimental value and was able to make the old hands work with a new battery-operated movement. And he did all this in about 30 min. Amazing work. Which is good because I never would have known this place existed, tucked inside a little indoor mall connected to Valley Produce on Vanowen just east of Reseda. But as of today this is my "go to" place for watch batteries. Needed three batteries replaced, which took all of about three minutes and cost $12 (could have been even less except one was a Fossil that was - gasp - $6). Far less than any mall jeweler or watch dealer would charge, and in far less time, with a cheerful smile. Ample parking in back. read more

I called the owner and asked if he would validate a watch that I was buying on eBay. He was a very humble man and sounded very professional. He told me to bring it in. I took the watch in and he did verify it and was very honest. He also didn't try to sell me on the idea to clean it but I asked anyway.
