This is a great place! I stayed here for 3.5 months. First let me address some of the "concerns"…read morethat were brought up: 1. Ignore ANYTHING about an angry owner. She is no longer there so any comments about her are irrelevant. The new owners are very nice and work hard at maintaining the grounds. 2. The location. If anyone complains its next to the freeway its be they didn't do their research. Yes its along I-80. Yes you'll hear the traffic if you're outside. If you're in your trailer it's not that bad. The only thing I'll say about the location is you are 30 minutes away from anything. Walmart, fast food, grocery store, all 30 minutes away. There are two gas stations nearby. 3. Price. Again, research. You may be able to find a place cheaper but if you book here and you don't like the rates, you have only yourself to blame. What I liked. Friendly people. Helpful staff. Clean bathrooms with showers. Accessible 24/7 (office is not always open but there are no gates if you drive through after hours). Clean pool with shallow kiddie pool. Laundry on site (bring quarters). Quiet. Dog runs. Mail room if you're here can extended amount of time. A great place to get away. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

***BLUE COLLAR WORKERS BEWARE***…read more *Turned of my water off in the winter time while it was in the negatives outside which froze my water and busted my water heater. *quiet time is after 9 but we're trying to make guests leave before 6 *their water line busted and refused to reimburse multiple people for the 5 days we all went without water *You can't sit your trash out at all not even in the bed of your truck cause the dozens of stray cats will rip it apart and scatter it everywhere. They will also tear up your camper underneath looking for warmth *owner saw me taking the trash out one day and offered to take it then turned around and told me I was to lazy to take it *had 2 friends and their 3 kids come join us for a cookout and the owners pulled up in their golf cart, freaking out about how loud our "party" was and that the new neighbors complained. Went to go apologize the next day and the neighbors said they didn't even hear us. *kept trying to up charge me on rent and electricity, one month my electric was $53 and the next month it was over $300 (the same month I wasn't even there for 2 weeks) *multiple blue collar workers left because the owners were treating them the same way *they have a nice pool. If you want to invite anybody make sure you got extra money cause they'll charge you whatever they feel like charging you that day. Went from $3 a person to $5 a person in just 2 days *claim they're Christians but refuse to you help in any way *******CHECK YOUR METER********* when I left they tried saying my electric bill was higher than my deposit of $300 but when I told them I took a picture of the meter and how their price didn't match the amount of kilowatts I had used (15 cents per kw) they sent me my deposit back All this coming from someone who stayed here for 6 months and finally had enough

3.5 stars, rounded up. This is our second stay at a KOA, and the first thing I noticed is, unlike…read morethe Newton location, this one is gated. The Newton location was a Journey and this is a Holiday, so it supposedly has more amenities. I chose this over the Omaha/Gretna because the water feature was bigger and it looked prettier. We actually passed that one on the way here and it was super busy! This one, on a Monday, was very empty. The gal working the office was super friendly. I did not have a reservation (one is needed if you arrive after-hours because you'll need a code to get into the gate; they'll leave a map for you in a box near the door). We wanted something away from other campers because we have a loud husky. She put us near a tree-line in the back of the park. It was nice because it started getting shady around 6 pm. The amenities aren't as good here as the last KOA: Kamp K9 is not shaded; fire rings are dotted in between sites instead of one for each slot, there's no visible trash cans (looks picturesque though). There's no trails like in Newton either. There are paddle-boats and a jump pad in the lake here which is super cool. Also, the lake is in the center of the park unlike ponds at other locations so we can see it from our site. Overall, I am very grateful to have access to showers, electricity and a place for my dogs to explore. I also appreciated how far apart the sites were spaced: the neighbor we had in the spot directly to our left was as close as the people two spots away in Newton. Pros: - close to the 80 but far enough away to not hear the noise - large spaces compared to Newton - super friendly - Cruise America discount! - laundry and showers - lake and camp site views - pool and hot tub - 6 people allowed per site (we did just water and electricity, 25ft RV) - huge play ground Cons: - dog park not shaded - showers are single stall but don't say "occupied" when in use - paddle boat rentals are too pricey
