    Freda relaxing in the sun

I just got home from a month long stay here at Camp-a-way. It was planned for 2 weeks but due to the Transmission going out on my truck I had to extend. I'll start with the park, it is beautiful and very friendly. Every night the kids get the chance to go on a ride around the park in a roller coaster like trailer. The park is very well maintained and cared for. The staff, they are super friendly people, caring and well trained. There is some freeway noise, but from my spot C5, it was very tolerable. When walking through the park, it never bothered us. The Dog park is epic!! My spot is so level that I didn't even have to do anything to level my RV from side to side. The power and water was more than enough to keep my equipment in top shape. The Wi-Fi is by far the best I've ever had in an RV park. When I found out my transmission was bad, I contacted the office and they worked with me to be able to stay in my spot until my truck was ready. They were prepared to help me stay through the 4th of July weekend that was sold out. I can not say enough good about the staff and the owners of this place. When staying in Lincoln Nebraska this place should be your first choice!!

We were camping in Camp A Way for about a month. We had moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and since were camper, decided to stay there while we looked for an purchased a home. The camp ground was just great. Sites are very well spaced, very clean, and naturally very pretty. It was easy to get in to and out of, with so many of the sites being pull throughs. All of the facilities, the restrooms, kid areas and laundry room were always clean and nothing ever felt crowded. The activities they have for the kids were fantastic! A water slide, the train, the jumping pad, pool and more, were all a ton of fun! Our Grand kids visited and they enjoyed it a lot. EVERYONE we met and came in to contact with as far as the staff, we're super kind! We appreciated everything about the campground and staff and thank you for making our visit so nice! We highly recommend Camp A Way!

Great campground. A bit expensive- $30 per night for primitive campsite. Reminds me of a KOA campground

    Just beautiful

We loved this campground. Easy access from the Interstate and it is beautiful. It has a great dog run with two separate runs one for bigger fogs and one for little dogs. Lots for kids to do although I don't have any young children traveling with me. Very lush and green and just lovely. Nice quiet park.

My site: C16. Big, shady, next to the creek, and dog run.

Cute little RV park. Stayed the weekend to catch a Husker game. Perfect for a short get away, even plenty of room for dogs.

The Newton location was a Journey and this is a Holiday, so it supposedly has more amenities. I chose this over the Omaha/Gretna because the water feature was bigger and it looked prettier. We actually passed that one on the way here and it was super busy! This one, on a Monday, was very empty. The gal working the office was super friendly. I did not have a reservation (one is needed if you arrive after-hours because you'll need a code to get into the gate; they'll leave a map for you in a box near the door). We wanted something away from other campers because we have a loud husky. She put us near a tree-line in the back of the park. It was nice because it started getting shady around 6 pm. The amenities aren't as good here as the last KOA: Kamp K9 is not shaded; fire rings are dotted in between sites instead of one for each slot, there's no visible trash cans (looks picturesque though). There's no trails like in Newton either. There are paddle-boats and a jump pad in the lake here which is super cool. Also, the lake is in the center of the park unlike ponds at other locations so we can see it from our site. Overall, I am very grateful to have access to showers, electricity and a place for my dogs to explore. I also appreciated how far apart the sites were spaced: the neighbor we had in the spot directly to our left was as close as the people two spots away in Newton. Pros: - close to the 80 but far enough away to not hear the noise - large spaces compared to Newton - super friendly - Cruise America discount! - laundry and showers - lake and camp site views - pool and hot tub - 6 people allowed per site (we did just water and electricity, 25ft RV) - huge play ground Cons: - dog park not shaded - showers are single stall but don't say "occupied" when in use - paddle boat rentals are too pricey

There's enough room to walk around the park for exercise, if people desire. There are benches and several trees. If your dog likes water, there is a gate to the lake next to the park which is fenced in with the fence running down to the lake. This allows your dog to go for a swim. It's a really nice park in the middle of Papillon. There is a small amount of parking (4-5 cars) and during my time there, 4 other dogs were in the park.

It's a big dog park, with lots of space to run, and a fence separates the large dog area from the small dog area. Didn't see a water station, but maybe I overlooked it. WCRA is listed as a Lakeside green space with a boat ramp & fishing pier, plus hiking, biking & equestrian trails. I have seen the boat ramp, and seems to be ample parking. There are some trails, but calling them "hiking trails" is a stretch. Walking paths would be more appropriate. The big no swimming sign is strange to me. I'm not from Nebraska, so I'm finding it hard to believe there are so many no swimming areas. Maybe someone can explain this to me. Overall, good to walk around, fish, and I guess boat. Very pretty compared to most of Nebraska, which seems to be deforested.
