I'm not sure what the advertiser in the other post represented but considering Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, HSBC, Citibank and myriad other fortune 500s and large corporations have utilized their marketing platforms they must be doing something right as their marketing analysts are probably a bit more scrutinizing than "Jim". Additionally, readership figures is an audited measurement used by most journals with lengthy shelf lives - Jim obviously isn't in a marketing position or he would've known that. The fact he doesn't mention that he actually called any Embassies to see who they read is another factor that leads me to believe his investigative work is nothing more than sub-par. The Washington Diplomat is the only publication that is delivered AND read by the Diplomatic communities of Washington as well as the Federal Government, IMF, World Bank, United Nations and many of the other prestigious public sector institutions in Washington. I've seen their work and writers featured on prestigious news networks from Huffington Post to Fox News. They are a must read for anyone looking to tap into the powerful world of Foreign and International affairs here in Washington and I strongly recommend them for any advertiser looking to tap into the Diplomatic Communities, Federal Government and International Marketshare of the Greater Metropolitan DC area.

The paper has got some great articles on social issues but also has poetry, word searches, and even sudoku. Not to mention a helpful back page that has shelters listed for both the homeless and those that want to volunteer. I recently heard a formerly homeless man read one of his Street Sense poems and it was really powerful. I'm a cheeseball I know. So pick up a paper, donate, or volunteer for the paper! They're looking for those who can help with writing ,editing, copyediting, layout (InDesign), photography, graphic design, fundraising, and grant writing. They also have internships available for students.

The paper is distributed by the Washington Post and won't break the bank - monthly subscriptions for daily service comes out to about $15 as of this review. Listening to my wife, the Korean the paper uses doesn't quite flow as if the paper was back in the motherland. But I guess that's what happens when you get a bunch of Americanized Koreans writing after being out of the hustle and flow of Korea for a long period of time. But, overall, it's a good tool to practice your Korean if you're trying to learn as they report on stateside issues.

The atmosphere was not that inviting the restaurant was dark with club lights. We went the first day they opened this was a bad move as the kinks were yet to be ironed out. The food was not labeled just general signs that shows the hibachi section, sushi and ice cream. They charge 5.95 for kids 3 years and older whether they eat or not. Lunch is $9.95 and dinner is $ 17.95 a rip off for the quality of the food. The hibachi was flavorless ( didn't know you could ruin hibachi). The sushi rolls were average some were stuffed with non traditional sushi stuff. The seafood variety was ok too but wasn't impressive or anything. We were all very disappointed. Dinner cost us over $60 plus a 18% tip for 3 adults 1 kid. We were still hungry after we left as the food was just not pleasing. The staff is friendly enough and there is room for extensive improvement. I wish we skipped it and just drove across town for something better. Go for lunch if you must. I would not recommend for dinner.
