I took the Welding for Dummies class along with 3 friends which was fantastic. Three sessions. Well thought out progression including a didactic portion (the different types of welding, etc), learning and practising basic welding skills and overcoming the initial daunting nature of this art to the uninitiated. Second class was somewhat more advanced techniques, comparative use of different machines. For the 3rd session, we were given free reign to use any of the various available metals to design and create a welding project that could be completed within the 2 hour time frame Erwin is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and very approachable and affable. His course provided a good balance of instruction and observation of our efforts with periods where we were given free range to experiment with the many (fun) gadgets in the shop. He was there for advice and encouragement but not helicopter-like oversight. It is a great introductory course that will help you decide if you have the passion to invest in it as a hobby. Even if you don't, it is time and money well spent for an interesting, fun and creative experience.

Erwin was a great teacher - kind, patient and went out of his way to help get me going in this new hobby.

As someone who has been throwing pots for a few years, I'm definitely eyeing the the Studio Artists which is designed for independent ceramicists. The studio space itself is pretty large and Kendra keeps a large supply of clay, tools, and other items you'll need for throwing pots or hand building. Even more importantly, pots get fired pretty quickly so you're not waiting weeks to finally get to your batch of pots that need to be glazed, etc. Kendra also works with you on honing in on any techniques if you've got the basics down, or helping you master the foundational skills. Given the pottery studios in the DMV are always full and have waitlists, it was very exciting to see this new studio open up and actually get a spot without wondering if I'll ever get a chance to take a class!

It was quiet enough to chill, but also have a discussion without it being awkward. There were a few folks there, working on their laptops, sipping their drinks and/or having a sandwich. I ordered the Butter Brown Toffee Iced Latte with oat milk and a splash of caramel. It was a10/10, with the perfect amount of coffee taste and a well-balanced sweetness. I had the turkey and havarti croissant sandwich. It came warmed with lettuce, tomato and pesto. It was pretty good and rather filling. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely pop in for a coffee

It goes so well with the chocolate; the drink was delicious! We were in town to surprise our best friend for her birthday and stopped by to get the day started. Just a five-minute walk from our Airbnb, we enjoyed our visit. The staff are awesome and so welcoming! We ordered four drinks and a couple of croissants to go. They were securely packed and we enjoyed them back at the Airbnb. The place is spacious, with plenty of seating! Their couches are cute and the natural light from the big windows made the place inviting! Aside from the Spicy Hot Chocolate, we also had a regular drip, a matcha latte and a regular latte. My regular drip was strong and gave me the energy I needed. Their butter and almond croissants are buttery and not too sweet. I highly recommend and plan to come back whenever I'm in town!
