I have sought help through support groups, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), spiritual practice, and rigorous self-discipline. While these methods have aided me in one way or another, I have never experienced a method as effective as the one that Andrew practices. For most my life, I have experienced a level of depression and anxiety that ranges from general discomfort, to panic attacks and fight or flight responses. These symptoms are rooted in past trauma. Though I had a thorough knowledge and understanding of the way that my past was still affecting the way that I respond to life, I felt hopeless. In the months leading up to my first session with Andrew, I had begun to have severe and disproportionate responses to daily occurrences. Anytime a person raised their voice at me, I flew into panic and despair. When a firework came to close to me on the 4th of July, I was sent into a fit of rage. I used every resource at my disposal to work on this problem, and nothing seemed to help. Though I found temporary relief through CBT, and a diagnosis of PTSD like symptoms, similar episodes continued to occur.
