I did a car wash inside and out for $28 which is a fair price. My car went through the exterior soap wash and brush. Then the staff hand cleaned the exterior of the car including the tires. They power washed my mats which was nice. I really liked how they vacuumed the inside of my car as that can be daunting to do on my own. It didn't take more than 15 minutes. Service is kind and super hard working! Do not expect a super fine detailing of your car - you get what you pay for. Great option if you are in the city. read more

(Tried calling first but no answer. I assumed they were busy washing cars.) So, really just open til 6:30pm... maybe. There are other places open til 8 who want working people's business. Washington Auto Shine was a pleasant experience after running errands in the area. The employees were very helpful throughout the entire process. Treated my SUV, named "Midnite," to a spa car wash! Yes, honey! I purchased their highest special, which was $34, and there was an upcharge of $4 due to her being an SUV. Once I pulled up, I let the staff know it was my first time at the location, and he kindly answered my questions. After I paid, they sprayed the vehicle with a hose of some sort and then I was instructed to place Midnite in neutral, and off we went! Action time, baby! The big brushes and soap were going crazy, lol! After the actual wash, the guys instruct you where to park. You hop out of your vehicle, and you can watch while outside (I did not see that they have a waiting area inside) as the staff clean inside and outside of your vehicle. When they were finished, my vehicle looked good! I looked around the vehicle and asked one of the employees if they could touch up on a few spots, which they did nicely. There's also a tip box for the employees. I will definitely be back! This establishment should consider a reward system as well as including an air freshener for their most expensive package (like their other package offers). read more

This is the best car wash I've ever been to. They have an automatic wash system that you ride through, but really they're doing 50% of the work by hand before and after your car goes through. They get all of the spots, and even if you get the special with full Armor-All, windows, and vacuuming, you're not there more than 20 minutes or so. The signage can be confusing, listing different services as part of the same packages, but don't let that discourage you, it's still great. read more

I gotta say, my car was desperate for a really good cleaning. Most places around me only do the car wash part and a quick wipe down with the option of a vacuum if you have the time and energy to do it yourself, but I was not up to that. This is the first time in my life that I went for the complete package, the $30 special, and I was not disappointed. I cannot tell you how disgusting the inside of my car was after having a kid for almost 3 years. There were POUNDS of stale snacks in every single hole and at 9.5 months pregnant I was not about to bend over backwards to attempt to clean any of it myself. I am so glad I decided to go here and pay a bunch of guys to handle this situation for me because with out them, I'd still be sitting in a dirty ass car. Found this place after the usual spot that I get my car washed had a line of cars wrapped around the corner. First they soap your car down by hand and scrub tires etc. Then, they direct you to drive your car onto a track and place the car in neutral. The track slowly pulls your car through a machine while you are in the driver seat. Very much akin to a gas station drive-thru car wash. I didn't love this but the pre-wash and pre-scrub made it okay. I definitely prefer a hand wash on my baby. Afterwards, your car is towel dried and vacuum etc. There are several wash options to choose. There is also an option to self vacuum if you don't want to pay them to do it. I typically go with deluxe or premium (includes tires scrub and undercarriage wash, vacuum, smell good etc). Note that many of the employees there speak Spanish. There is always someone on hand who speaks English. Have a little patience if you don't speak the language. They get the job done well. read more

Great price. Good job but not perfect. I got the $30 special. $34 for SUV. I hadn't cleaned it washed it since I bought the car over 9 months ago, plus I have dogs. They did a very good job cleaning, and it was pretty quick. The armor all inside left a lot of residue. Could have done a once over with a dry cloth to remove the access, as it felt a little greasy. On the exterior, there were a couple hand prints from when they closed the doors after using the armor all. And there was one big water streak and some spots on the front driver side door. Nothing I couldn't wipe away with a microfiber in 5 minutes though. Wheels and tires look very good. So, good enough for the price. I've paid a lot more before at other places for similar results. I'll be back and just get the $20 package without the armor all. read more

This place did an awesome job on my car, which was in dire need of a deep clean. I got their most expensive package, which was about $30 and included a wash, some protective coating, vacuuming and shining the interior, and cleaning the wheels/tires. This all took maybe 10 minutes total on a Sunday morning. One note, my rims had some pretty stuck in dirt and could've used more attention, but this wasn't enough for me to knock off a star. I'd just enjoyed a nice afternoon in South Philly at lunch and browsing records, when it occurred to me there might be a decent car wash nearby (none where I live, sadly). Lo and behold, Washington Auto Shine leapt off the page with lots of enthusiastic reviews. I can see why. These folks bring elbow grease, plain and simple. It's what separates excellent car washes from lame ones. Once I saw them pulling rubber mats and MOPPING THEM BY HAND, I knew this was the place. My car was especially dirty - the exterior was long overdue and I hadn't done the interior in over a year (never again). I opted for the $25 wash (Silver?) which covered exterior wash, machine undercoating & wax, tire cleaning, interior vacuum, dashboard clean and inside window cleaning. And the mats!! They were a little backed up and told me it would be 25-30 min. I appreciated the heads up and figured it would take longer with a through interior job anyway. So, drive through the exterior wash and park for the interior work. First thing I notice is how clean the exterior is. The sun is reflecting so bright off my car that I need my sunglasses. Then watch a virtual pit crew of hard-working folks go over my entire interior, rubbing and scrubbing, working efficiently but taking time to do the job right. Got the car back and was simply blown away. I could sell my eleven year old car in a heartbeat with a wash this good! My wife was jealous when I got home - when can we take her car in? It's an hour and a half from home, but I promise her ASAP. After all, it's right around the corner from South Philly Barbacoa!! Thanks, Washington Auto Shine. I usually don't go to automated car wash joints but the car was winter filthy and we were headed to an event. Wow...Great car wash! Was not expecting much honestly. The "machine" was the usual but what was impressive was the crew finishing part. They wiped down the exterior including mirrors, cleaned the wheels and put shine on the tires, vacuumed and wiped the interior, and took my all weather mats out (4) and washed them. They offer different packages for car cleaning which starts with a whole outer cleaning and then you could choose from detail cleaning options which in include inside cleaning vacuum and dusting. I love this place. i drive from North Philly to come here. I inherited a 2003 honda civic that is dented from Hurricane Sandy and was covered in basset hound hair. You get what you pay for, and a free car was just what we needed. Now that I have a dog and the car is parked on the street in the city all the time, I also don't take the best car of our car (affectionately named "Uncle Morty". The car is usually covered in pollen and now MY dog hair. And for $25, this place gets the job done. I am constantly impressed with the quick service and how clean my car feels. They do an exceptional job on the interior and a good job on the exterior. I go quarterly or so and tip generously. Worth the $25+ to not borrow my father's shop vac. Thanks guys! read more

This was my first time here today. I had read a lot of good reviews and only 2 or 3 bad ones. For the $25 special.... It's an amazing job. Like an express detail service. It took about 30 minutes for my car which hadn't been washed in a few months. The men were efficient and took their time. It was pretty busy today since it's the day after a holiday. There isn't anywhere to sit, and it was cold today. But once you get your car you'll be glad you waited. I haven't seen my car so shiny since the first month I bought it. The men here are so nice!! So frustrated and disappointed. They used to do such a good job. Two days after getting what appeared to be a good wash, my exterior has a soapy film all over it and my interior has soap spots and drip marks on the door. I keep some Armor-All wipes under my seat so I can do periodic wipe downs and, okay, maybe the guy thought that they belonged to the car wash but they were mine, they were taken out of my car and they were not returned.
