This is my new thing! Was having a conversation about a spot where "you wash doggie." Didn't know that was a thing! So the dog has never been washed in his life and he's about 3 years old. Took him in, was greeted by a friendly employee who was very helpful with letting us know what was provided and included and showing us newcomers what to do. I had the funniest and fun time with my BF washing dog. Everything was included, shampoo, conditioner, ear clean stuff, teeth spray, towels, blow dryer, brush, washing apron, scrub. He was so good for a first timer. There was even a little soft cute pug that was walking around and greeted him. Doggie is pretty tall. He's considered a large dog. It cost us $25 with tip out the door. We went on early Saturday morning so we just parked on the street. Was in n out within an hour. I think they have 2 washing stations. Listen - I know I should have said something when I picked up my dog, but I was in shock and raised to be a people pleaser so I just took her and left. However... if you have a double coated dog - be very cautious if you take them here. I have a border collie mix, one of the breeds that you ARE NOT supposed to shave as it can damage their coat for YEARS and mess with their natural ability to keep cool in summer/warm in winter. I took my dog in for a bath and brush out, and asked for a trim for her feet, sanitary, and a TRIM on her legs. The groomer SHAVED her whole body. You would think a groomer would a) be able to listen to the instructions provided by the owner and b) would understand the different grooming practices necessary for double coated breeds. On top of all of that, my dog's belly area was shaved down so much that it was red, irritated, and had some scratch marks. I was also very surprised initially at how fast this was completed - her grooms typically take 3+ hours, but I received the text that she was ready barely after 2 hours. All in all, I personally will not be bringing my border collie back here and caution anyone with a double coated breed as well. (I included a before picture as well) read more

I had my dog groomed here about 3-4x total, and today is my last. There were no issues the last few times she's gotten groomed here, but today when we went to pick my dog up and then asked if they could snip a bit more on her beard, they took her to the back room and didn't come out for 10-15 minutes. When they came out, my dog was bleeding - they had snipped off a part of her tongue. I understand these things can happen, but I was extremely horrified at how they handled the situation. They kept arguing with me that she is fine and it's nothing, instead of showing concern or offering to refund us for what we paid. When I firmly said that I really do hope it is nothing, but as a pet owner I need to take her to the vet and demanded that they reimburse for any vet costs, they agreed. My vet was fortunately open and I was able to have her take a look at my dog at no cost, so I went back to the Washing Spot to let them know that although a part of her tongue was cut off, it would heal and would be ok- and they wouldn't need to reimburse anything because my vet didn't charge me. They didn't even apologize, offer a refund, or show any responsibility. They did offer to wash the blood off of her beard which is laughable. On top of that, they thought they never had my dog's collar when they actually did have it and we had to keep pushing them that they had it to finally have them find it. No accountability and terrible customer service to a former loyal customer. I'm very upset my dog had to go thru this ordeal and feel very not taken care of after they made such a scary mistake. Great spot! Came in on a Tuesday around 3:45 thinking I would be done with my self wash in about 30 min. I ended up staying until 6 because it took longer than expected to remove all the fleas from my dog. Yelp states that they close at 5, so I was expecting them to kick me out... but nope, the staff was very welcoming and let me wash my dog unhurriedly. There was an open station when I arrived- self wash stations are first come, first serve. They provide plenty of things for your wash! An apron, ear cleaning solution, cotton balls and q tips, pet wipes, pawfume, shampoo, conditioner, dental spray, a very nice fur dryer... you are set! You can even bring in your own items if you prefer that. My dog came out looking fresh and free of fleas (flea shampoo +$2 upon request). Self wash tip for flea removal, the blow dryer does a great job to rid of dead fleas and helps you spot remaining fleas. Love this place!! Came here after getting my pup tired out from Silver Lake Dog Park! Looking at him covered in mud, I felt dread thinking of bathing him in my tiny shower at home so I found this place! I hate leaving my dog with the groomer for hours so I decided on a self wash. Street parking is available and metered $2 per hour, I was easily able to find a spot right outside the door. To wash my 52 lb dog it took about 45 minutes (total 75 cents for parking). Liz was awesome and super friendly! She explained the products and process step by step. So if you're thinking about trying a self wash for the first time don't be shy! The facility is trendy and clean, everything you need is there and they are well organized. There is warm water, a towel, shampoo, conditioner, dryer, brushes, ear cleaning products, dental spray and face wipes for your dog. They even had "Pawfume" available! I used about 2 sprays on my dog at the end and it wasn't too overpowering. When I got home my fiance commented that he smelt like baby powder. First time today (Sunday) for a full groom and I am a happy dog owner. My dog Max was dropped off around 12:50 and his Appt was at 1pm. I received a phone call at 2:18 saying Max will be ready for pick up in 15mins. I was really preparing to wait for over 2hrs since it was a weekend. I guess it's due to past experiences when I have taken max to get groomed on a weekend I waited about 4hrs. I picked up Max and he was so happy! He smelled amazing too. I need to call Liz and ask what kind of shampoo and conditioner they used on Max because I can't stop smelling him lol. For about $40 I'll definitely take Max back here. He doesn't let me cut his nails so I'm glad he let's others do it. They're closed on Mondays but open on a Sunday which is convenient for many people. The staff want to leave early and ensure everything is maintained before closing. Just adjust your hours of closing and shut the door at that cut off.....easy expectations. While checking out, unbeknown to me, the owner approached me with an unnecessary, condescending attitude, asking about my line of work, asked if would "stay 30 mins past my work hours for a customer". Felt completely blindsided by the inquisition. Instead of giving a very thorough lecture of how perception, and reality play a big role in customer experience I decided to walk away and dismiss the attack. First off I want to start by mentioning that I was a bit hesitant about taking my dog here but I did anyways because the other place I usually go to was booked up and I wanted to get my dog clean ASAP so I took her here. The lady was really nice and all when I dropped off my dog. I asked what the price was and she said $65. Mind you my dog is a short haired breed and so that seemed like a little too much but I was like whatever it's fine. When she finally called me to let me know that it was time to pick her up she had mentioned that my dog bit the groomers when they tried to dry her off and when they tried to work on her nails. Then she said that they were going to charge me $25 extra for an aggressive dog. She never mentioned this policy to me before hand. I'm not going to lie my dog does get a little jumpy when she is being blow dried but she doesn't bite to be aggressive. Even me when I'm drying her off I know how to handle her. Yes I could have warned them that this may be an issue ahead of time but when I've taken her to the usual grooming spot, Healthy Spot, there weren't any problems. So I assumed that this place would have no trouble either. They should know how to deal with dogs supposedly they are the experts. The grooming service itself was good but way too pricey. I don't think I'm coming back here again. Healthy Spot seems like they know better about handling dogs and they are also cheaper. Lastly, I want to mention that before I left my dog there she was growling a little. The lady thought my dog was being aggressive toward her but she was actually growling because there was another dog there and my dog doesn't do well around other dogs so I told her that.
