Washateria - Dryers - Laundromat Near Me - Houston, Texas

I went to this laundromat in a emergency situation, before I went I of course looked at the closing time which was 10 pm mind you it's between 8:45-9 pm when I get there I see other customers going in and out but as a approached from a distance I was told that they were closed with a hand gesture as I continued to stand there I was treated as invisible when I simply wanted to explain I had a dryer I just need a quick wash ,if the last wash is 8:30 but closing at 10 then it should be specified online read more

If I could deduct stars I would with this one. At first I was intrigued with their card system and thought how innovative but then it was everything but that. One of the washers took my money and one of the ladies working at the time tried to assist me and we verified through my card history it double charged me and I only received one wash. The lady suggested I leave a note for the owners and they'd call me back and they never did. I went up there twice since then and was able to get a call back number which no one ever answered or texted me back. On top of poor customer service my card is still up there with at least $20 that I guess I'll never get back. ULTIMATELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE read more

We came here to wash our huge sleeping bags. I was so surprised that this place was amazing. Clean and modern. I did not feel like I was going to be shot like I feel sometimes at the laundromat closest to my house. The machines were clean and modern. As someone mentioned, you need to buy a card to load your money. No need to dig for 1,000,000 quarters. And it was less expensive than our normal rundown place. read more

Reasonably priced and CLEAN restrooms. Staff was pleasant and area appeared to be safe

Not a lot of traffic so we found machines to use quickly and got everything done fast. The facility is clean and decently priced. You need a card to use the machines and a new one will cost you $1. Keep the card to reuse so you don't have to buy a new one each time. They don't sell soap so either bring your own or you can buy some at the gas station store at the corner. Kroger is also nearby if you want to swing by there before hand instead. read more

Very clean! Super spacious, cash only for the card system. Lots of sizes of washing machines to choose from. I went around 10am, practically empty. Will definitely come back, I have a king sized duvet cover and insert, they were both able to fit in the $6.25 sized washers, and the dry was $1. read more

Very clean and conscientious for me the attendant is very helpful and the place has enough equipment to go around

My washer broke so I had to find a laundromat. I had such anxiety! I don't like the idea of smelling past loads, seeing caked on who knows what, or cleaning lint from the previous load. To my delight I didn't find any of this. The vast size selection in front loaders and the truly temp controlled dryers look new and clean. The dread of overheating while doing laundry was not found, it's super comfortable or chilly. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

This laundromat is old. The parking lot is dirty. The lady that works behind the counter is not friendly at all. This place is a drag. Use as a last resort. read more

This place is big, clean and fairly priced. The second time I came I wondered if the load I had done actually had soap dispensed because it didn't smell like it, but I just but the bullet because I hadn't actually been watching the machine. I come back today and start two loads next to each other. One washer never dispensed my soap and washed my clothing in just water. I showed the attendant who said "wait until minute 16 and the soap may dispense" so I waited and never happened. She then stated other washers do the same and pointed to said washers. I said "well can I get my $2.50 back so I can rewash them in a different washer?" And she just walks away. That to me is horrible customer service. Doesn't put any signs on the machines that she stated didn't dispense soap either. So you're allowing people to use their money on machines you know don't dispense soap and you're not compensating them for it. So if you're going to use this facility, watch your washers and pray they compensate you if the machine is faulty. read more

I'm genuinely confused on why there are bad reviews for this place. It's super clean and the washers and dryers seem fairly new. I like the card system. It was my first time using a Washatera with a card system and I can't believe other places don't use it. read more

This place is awesome. Spacious, nice and clean, the AC actually works! Washes start at $2, IDK about the dryer because I didn't use any. The restroom is very clean as well. read more

Very clean, I was a little nervous going, but staff is very nice and I was surprised how cheep it was. The washers are quick and do a great job washing. Dryer only took one turn and about a dollar it's worth it. read more

This place is extremely clean and has MANY machines of various sizes. We have never had to wait to use a machine, even when it is crowded. You do have to use a card, but I actually prefer this to using coins. I don't recommend using the dryers as they take many times to dry your clothes, so at 25¢ a round it adds up. The regular size washers are $4 a load. read more

Not a bad place. Very clean but if you need soap they only provide the cheap kind you find at the dollar store. Fortunately the gas station at the corner sells all the name brand stuff in small and big bottles. This is a card use Washateria, so no having to dig around for quarters. Once the money is on the card it's there. This could be good and bad. Good if you plan to come often. Bad if you are trying to watch your spending. So be cautious about how much you put on your card. The ladies weren't very nice. Kinda rude actually: be forewarned they do not claim responsibility for lost or stolen items. Just like any other Washateria. Make sure you wear a mask. The place is easy to social distance at. read more

New washateria behind the new Texaco on Sabo. The dry is 25 cents but it's the BIGGEST ripoff as I had to dry a minor clothes load for 5 TIMES before it dried and it was still damp and not DRY. They just opened up and it's ran by Asian couple as yes they were the sweetest to me but goodness grace-us they don't take NO COINS only the use of a Wash card (located on the back of the building on the left side). It's $1 to first load the card and after that you have to keep on keep paying your hard earned money. I mean com'on we going thru a pandemic. Geez, the place is very clean & nice looking on the inside but unless you have and plenty money to waste I suggest going to A-R wash-house on Almeda as they have free dry when you wash. These owners just looking out for their business not for your pockets. The washers range from $2-6 it's sad and disappointing as I thought this for the place for everyone. Only come here if you're desperate!! read more

Washateria - Laundromat Near Me - Houston, Texas

I use this washateria since they open I like the space wide open very clean and it's reasonably price but unfortunately I had to report them because one of the Hispanic ladies that work at night locks the doors with the customers inside. I nicely ask her could she leave the door unlocked and she said no because last wash is at 8:30 and she didn't want anyone else to come in. The Only problem that I have with that is it is a major safety issue because she was busy cleaning in in the back and so when people want to leave they had to wait at the door for up to 3 to 4 minutes or wait outside to get in and out of the building. God for bid something like a fire breaks out and we are trapped in until she comes to unlock the door... will be reporting to osha it's just unsafe and her bad attitude doesn't help. She told me I needed to stay inside because she's busy cleaning and will not unlock the door back and forward. read more

I recently moved back from living abroad and our clothes and personal belongings were all ruined from a roach infestation during the shipment process. We couldn't wash all of our clothes at home because there was too much, so we decided to come here to wash all of our clothes. We had a lot of clothes that we could barely fit in our car trunk, but we were able to wash them all at once here because there were several washers that varied from small to large sizes. We didn't have to wait at all because there were so many. The card system was amazing. I personally really liked how we didn't have to waste time with getting change for the washers and didn't have to carry a bunch of coins around. I can just keep the card in my wallet or pocket and use it whenever I want. The staff were very friendly and it was very clean. I will definitely be coming back and I definitely recommend this place. read more
