The attendant on duty had a horrible attitude. The first incident occurred when I walked in and placed my clothing near the row of washers while I went to get change. She immediately stated that all of my clothes would not fit in the washer, even though there was a clearly posted sign explaining the washer rules and capacity limits. The second incident happened when I removed my clothes from the dryer and noticed that every folding table was occupied. I then went to the back and used the small silver table. The attendant came over and said, "I use this table for my work." However, she had already been using the other customer tables for her work as well. You are left with clothing weighing 4 times its previous weight because it's soaked and filled with detergent. This laundromat should label dryers that don't work. After first putting my clothes in a dryer and trying to add money, the dryer kept spitting out my quarters so I switched dryers. I put three dollars in the new dryer. After 10 minutes the dryer threw a code and stopped working. I notified the attendant and she came over to check the dryer. She told me that there was too many clothes in the dryer and that's why it stopped working and basically told me I wasn't getting my money back. I moved my regular size laundry load to a different dryer and that dryer dried all of my clothes in the picture. Just fine in 30 minutes so I would have to disagree that the load was too large. The problem is the dryer doesn't work. When she told me to switch dryers, she rattled off three other dryers that don't work and aren't labeled. I would suggest saving customers, frustration and time by simply writing out of order on a piece of paper and putting it on the dryers that don't work I would also suggest that if they're not labeled and a customer uses a dryer that they give the money back. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LAUNDROMAT!!! The attendant lifted the bag of clothes and pointed to the washers to use. After putting the clothes and money in the washer, the washer was started. After a few minutes, the washer was no longer running and had a code on the screen. The attendant had no idea what the code meant and decided there weren't enough clothes in the washer and we were just screwed out of the money we had paid. The washer would not restart so that was it. $7.50 gone! The attendant was zero help, and had no solutions. If you are told which washers to use by the attendant, they should be willing to refund your money if the washer stops and will not work again, especially when it's only been 3 to 4 minutes! The laundromat in Surfside Beach has the same washers and dryers but stands behind very equipment. The owner actually has a box for you to leave your name address and phone number for a refund if the washer or dryers don't work. He also has an emergency phone number that you can call if the situation warrants. The laundromat in Surfside is also half the price to wash and dry clothes! went to due laundry there and the machine broke down in the middle. When i told the worker there, who had a shitty attitude, she put my stuff in another washer and wouldn't refund my $6.25. After chasing her down she told me to leave my name and phone and they would refund my money! Well needless to say they never got in touch with me. The place is clean. On the attendants advice. I bleached a load of laundry with oxi clean. The owner was there and saw what happened. I'm traveling and politely asked her for replacement cost. She was non responsive and rude. I went there as a non driver cause it's closest. I would've appreciated a little more responsibility on what the owner witnessed. I get it's just 5 minutes but they don't close until 8 or 8:30 all I need to do was wash my seat covers. WTH. Some people are just lazy and don't want to work. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by Ann and she helped me understand how the washers worked and made suggestions on which ones would be best for my needs. As I had many loads to bring in, Ann kept her eyes out for me and opened the door to help me. I found the Wash-A-Roo to be very clean and we'll maintained! Unfortunately, I could not give 0 stars. Looks nice with new machines, but they don't work good at all. Our clothes always left there with a bad odor, like they were musty or dirty. After our last time there I know why. The machine i was using kept stopping. They would have to reset the machine at the breaker. When it finally finished and we opened the machine dirty, black water came pouring out. This is what they're washing clothes in. Their "solution" was for me to PAY to put my clothes in another machine...they flat out refused to cover the cost. read more

We come here to do our large comforters and blankets. Place is very clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. Easy in and out of the place. I have gone here several times before and it has been fine but today I called to see when the last wash was usually it was 630 the gentleman said 6 o'clock I got there at 6:01 and he would not let me in. I had one small load to do and the gentleman met me at the door was not very nice was very adamant and said it's after six and he said it's 604 it was actually 601 the clock said 603 and was 2 minutes fast. also he was very rude. I even told him I didn't need to have my wash completely dry and he closed the door in my face. so I went to the coin laundry in surfside that was absolutely fine. All though this place may be the cleanest I have found it has the absolute worst customer service! On one occasion I discovered that several machines had left over bleach, detergent, or softener in them. Unfortunately it was my mistake so lesson learned. This time I chose to use a large washer costing $7.50 because all the smaller ones were in use. Halfway through the cycle it cut off with an error. The attendant told me I had overloaded it. It was reset and I took my 2 items out while she warched and then told me that maybe I had under loaded it. I asked for my money back because I dont believe this was my fault that their machine is off balance. I asked to speak with a manager and she says she's not here and you won't get anything back. This is an awful place to do your laundry if you want actual clean clothes. $30.00 later and clothes do NOT smell clean and that is with a half a bottle of tide detergent. Used ATM in the location and asked attendant if she could break this into smaller bills she replies "we don't give change" yet they sell snacks at ridiculous prices. After 50 min in an industrial strength dryer half the clothes are still wet and everything is wrinkled. Attendant spends more time on her cellphone rather than helping the multiple people having issues with the dryers and washers. I would not recommend this location to anyone I'd drive a little further to the next laundromat. read more

While in town for the month, we needed someplace to wash our clothes. We spotted Wash-A-Roo while driving down the road and decided to stop and check it out. The whole place was clean, the equipment was all new and the attendant was very helpful. While you wait for your clothes, they have a snack bar, as well as a few TVs to keep you entertained.
