HOW did that happen in 10 minutes? Apparently they put my dog in a small room with a vet and another dog and they said he didn't do well...of course not! He doesn't know any of you and was scared! I immediately went to find another company and found Animal Friends. I told them of this situation and they said to bring my dog down to meet them, he did fine as I expected and my dog has now been happily boarded for 2.5 years. I travel extensively and appreciate that it's a family owned business that actually cares about my dog. They know I travel and accomodate me too because some nights I come in late and picking up the next day is better for me. I got tied up at work and wasn't able to make it for the 4 PM pick up when they close... On my way there, I tried calling them and a answering service picked up and then the answering service said nobody was answering the phone at the facility and They left a message. Why pay for an answering service when you are paying staff to be there..24/7 when got there I knocked on the door and a gal behind the desk, ducked down and tried to hide from me....?!!I thought this was very childish and unprofessional.. Why would you pay staff to sit there and not handle a customer concern? I knocked very loudly and aggressively, and she finally came up to the door and would talk to me through the door. I was concerned because I did not leave enough food for him for another day. She refused to give me my dog and threatened to call the cops.. She said I was making her feel unsafe... Which found rather offensive and wonder what kind world we now live in...Granted I was yelling because she wouldn't open the door so had to talk through double pane glass.. Suggestion .... I understand you're looking for a certain level of operationally efficiency with scheduled pick ups and drop offs But if you're going pay someone to stay at the facility then perhaps train them to process a payment and simply charge a late pick up fee... someone did call me and took a payment on the phone and said I could come back at 8 PM to pick up my Baby Boy... The cuts are not always perfect but that's ok. Before my dog needed two types of pills to almost sedate him for a haircut. On the third haircut with Noah my dog did not even need medicine.
