Brown trout caught while fishing with Jeremy.

This was the highlight of our trip! We had a blast with Jeremy, he was so friendly and patient with us flat lander first timers. My husband, who normally hates fishing, immediately fell in love. We highly recommend Jeremy and if are ever in the area again will definitely book with him! He is personable, accommodating, punctual, and so friendly. His experience and passion for fly fishing shows and created a memory that will last a lifetime for my husband and I.

Current Creek campground is a large place with 4 loops. My favorite is D loop because it's closest to the lake. Bathrooms have flush toilets but no showers. Each camp site has a picnic table, grill, fire pit and concrete pad. The camp host station sells ice, firewood and some bare essentials. The star of the show is the lake. Usually you'll find me sitting on the shore waiting for a fish to bite. I've caught rainbows and tiger trout. But even if you don't catch anything the views are spectacular. If you should get lucky and decide to keep your catch there is a fish cleaning station by the boat ramp. Directions, there are 3 ways to get there all involve a bit of graded dirt road. You can take hwy 40 to the Current Creek Road and drive up next to the river, then around the lake. Next option is to turn off hwy 40 at the chicken creek area and take FS road #82. The turn is just before the UDOT facility. Lastly you can take center street from Heber past the Timber Lakes community. There is no cell phone service at the lake or campground. :)

Parking is plentiful and easy-peasy. Luckily there weren't any soccer teams playing on the soccer field we posted up at, so we were able to take up a lot of space. I liked how there were some hilly parts on the side of the field that gives my dog some more interesting sprints. The grass was nice and fluffy, so I laid down for a bit and watched the clouds go by. Lovely breeze and people-watchin'. FYI - this is where the paved Jordan River Parkway (trail) starts/ends. I hit a dead end when I biked here without the pup. Go West, and I promise there is plenty of paved road with beautiful views to keep you goin (I believe it goes for 40+miles!!) You follow the river and can look at the mountains while passing the plentiful trampolines in people's backyards. This will be a summer fave for me (and my pup).

SPACE. 28 acres, to be exact. I counted four (4!) full-sized soccer fields (with official-size goal posts), two fishing ponds, clean rest rooms, about 2.5 miles of perfect strolling along the Utah Lake Parkway trail, and easy access to the lake. North Lake isn't a playground park or really a picnic park. It's an outdoor sports park, and hiking park, and a great view park. And oh what park it is!

There were several picnic tables under a protective roof. The wind was horrible however that day. It was a bit chilly even though it was 75 degrees. If you want to come and take a breather and let some steam out, this is the place. There is a five-mile hike if you want to bike, skateboard, walk or run. The hike is amazing. Beautiful scenery. As we were walking we found this really awesome cave! Too scared to go inside though. As you are walking there is a nice creek on the side and picnic benches. Nice spot to chillax. There are bathrooms and also a playground for the kids. They have this cool train you can play on as well. The only thing I didn't see is a fire pit or grill to BBQ. There are a few other spots nearby that have these if you want.
