This dance studio is too good to be true…read more I can't say enough good things about this dance studio. The Crowther family, the owners, run such a positive atmosphere for dancers of all levels. You just have to meet them for five minutes to see how their temperament is perfect for a positive environment yet still capable of competing at a really high level. These guys are total professionals and you will love them. I can't speak highly enough of this dance studio. You won't be disappointed.

The three-year-old class had ballet bars set up in the center of the room at the perfect height for those little girls. The class size was small (about 7) with two teachers. Each girl received individual attention while the instructors worked on their steps. Parents remained outside the room with only a small, one-way mirror to observe the class. Even during shoe changes, we weren't allowed in. I was way okay with that! The instructors made sure the girls had their tap shoes on and tied before starting the second half of class. Along with cute foam circles to make sure each girl had her own spot along the bar or along the side of the room and personal instruction, there was a time for some free dance with the lights dimmed and small sparkly tree branches to hold and twirl. It was awesome! You can tell Jennifer Hansen is serious about her academy and her dancers. We are loving it!

So much so, that last year I knew I had to try to be a part of the fabulous faculty! Ms. Jennifer was gracious enough to accept me as a small part of the staff, and the students here have been absolutely amazing. They've been taught so well in how to be respectful, have a kind and encouraging treatment toward each other, and progression in their development that is stunning! Observing how the studio runs from enrollment and class evaluations to the recital and opportunities for dancers for the last year and a half has been a TREAT. Each faculty member truly LOVES what they do and LOVES these kids. There is loving professionalism that permeates each classroom. Truly, this is a studio fit for any parent who wishes their child to get the best experience! I can't WAIT for my 2-year old to get a titch older so she can begin her journey with PDA! We had been a part of a DANCE family that we absolutely loved. When we knew we would be moving from an hour away, switching dance studios was the hardest and saddest part of the whole decision to move. We didn't want to leave. We were happy and comfortable at our dance home for 9 years. ADA made the transition even smoother then I could even explain. The first day we walked in the director had told my girls that she understands that we are leaving our dance family of 9 years and everything they had ever known. She said she could not even imagine what they must feel in this situation. She then told them that she knows she can NEVER replace our old dance family but she hopes ADA can be added to our dance family, Everything we experienced with this studio is beyond all Expectations! The staff were also amazing. Everyone is always working with and helping each other. My oldest was told she wasn't the best at lyrical by her last studio and came back after the covid shut down she competed a lyrical solo and took an overall highpoint for lyrical. The director and owner do everything they can to make sure the girls aren't just the best dancers but to have the confidence that they need!!! The energy, love, and growth my girls have experienced there this year is more then we could have imagined. We CAN NOT WAIT to see what the future holds for us with our ADA Family

We had our daughter doing dance at this place for a season and at first everything seemed fine…read more Then my daughter started asking us not to take her. When we asked her, she said she was still interested in dance but didn't want to go to this place anymore because the teacher was not nice. We pressed her some more and come to find out she like the class when the owner of the establishment was not there, but when the owner was there she would rather not dance at all. We made her stick it out because we had already paid the hefty fees for costumes (in the end never got to use these by the way) but we had to make her go. Then my daughter broke her arm and could no longer dance. We asked the owner to cancel our monthly payments as she was no longer able to participate. Despite this the fee still came out of our account. My wife tried many times to resolve this and get a refund for the fees we were overcharged but the owner always had an excuse as to why it did not happen. I finally went down there myself and confronted her about it and she (the owner) said that I was harassing her! I was simply asking for a refund for an overcharge. Not only that, but on their brochure (contract as they called it) they promised extra classes and a small discount for those parents that signed up for auto pay. Neither of these did we receive. In my opinion you should not waste your time or your money here. The owner is semi dishonest and my daughter now does not like dance!

I could start off with saying this is an amazing studio but the 5 stars gives that away. If you're…read morereally interested in trying out this studio, let me tell you why this place is so amazing. I had recently moved to the area from California and didn't know anyone or of any activities to put my kids in (I have twins boy/girl and they had just turned 2). With us not knowing anyone, I wanted to get them involved in different things to find out what they enjoyed and hopefully find their "niche". My daughter started when she was 2 (just turned 2) and her very first day, my husband took her because I was at work still. The owner, Tammy, explained to my husband the nitty gritty of the studio and the option for her to compete at one competition as well as the end of year (they also do Christmas but she joined after). Of course like most husbands, they listen and retain the information but don't always do the best job of relaying the information and I'm the type of mom that has a lot of questions and is not afraid to ask. I figure the more I know the less chance to get frustrated/confused down the road...but again, that's me. Tammy was more than helpful-- I was blown away and have never forgotten that day. She talked about the competition at Lagoon and I had (obviously) never heard of that and had no idea where it was. She helped explain where it was, the distance, what it would be like -- and this was my daughter's first day at this studio -- and she was 2...TWO! My daughter was on the shy side so I really wanted her to interact with other kids her age besides her brother and this studio was a perfect fit -- so it didn't matter to me that we drive 30-40 minutes ONE WAY once a week. The following year, I signed my son up as well -- to be honest, I was less interested in him learning "dance" and more interested in him getting involved. While he wasn't shy -- he was shy when he was put in something out of his element. This year my twins had a teacher named Erin. To say that she is patient is the most understated compliment I could give her. While my son was not the fun-loving 3 year old that would run around class being silly - he didn't want to be there and he kicked and screamed (literally) and Erin just kept talking to him as if he was acting like the most obedient kid in the class. Tammy (the owner) was so amazing and told me that it would get better. Let me be clear -- it didn't make me sad or hurt me in any way that he was acting like that - he was embarrassing me a little because of his anger and uncooperative attitude. Let's fast forward...my son LOVES Erin still to this day. She never gave up on him and I think that created a very very special bond. She also has an amazing bond with my daughter. I cannot even describe what that feels like as a mother. Now, this year...they are 4. They have yet another amazing teacher, Nery, who pushes them to develop their skills more because they're getting older and they understand things a little more. She's fun with them but she is amazing at keeping them focused. As a parent, you want to know that your kids like who they are with when they are not with you. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with that. So...so far owner (Tammy) = A+; Teachers = A+++. Oh, they also have cameras so you can watch your kids while in the waiting room...so you can see how your kid(s) are behaving even when you are not right there! If you are the type of parent who is just looking for a break from your kid for 45mins -1hr - this may not be the place for you. Now, if you want a break from your child AND want them to get SOMETHING out of this - whether it be social skills, learning dance skills or just learning to be a good human - THIS is an amazing place. If you have questions, ask!!!! If you have something that you're concerned about, talk to the staff. Never once has anyone not helped me (and I ask a lot of questions) and/or not been 100% pleasant to me. I've never met an owner so sincere about wanting constructive criticism to improve your experience in any way possible! Thanks KDC!!

Kickin'it ALWAYS does well in competition so there's a sense of pride having your kid dance here as opposed to other studios. Fees are reasonable and they offer multiple options depending on how much involvement your child wants with their programs. It's a big commitment in time, effort and expense if your kid wants to go down this path but it's no different than soccer, snowboarding or whatever else you decide to support your child in. I don't care for the beauty pageant feel of the competitions. It's a culture that I haven't been exposed to before but I suppose it boils down to different strokes for different folks. I'm just as different but in a drab and dowdy sort of way...
