I had a 50+foot tree, that had grown for 65 years, with limbs falling in the road and my yard. For the last few years the electric company had been trimming away branches from electric wires, and the tree's leaves have been costly to pick up or have a company come and shred them. As I age, I decided to call Warwick Tree Service, and received a quote. Within 5 days my Tree had been taken down, the stump had been ground down even with my lawn. So we are an elderly couple that heats our home by wood and unfortunately ran out and essentially had to use space heaters. I called Warwick Tree service and they bent over backwards to make sure we had wood to burn. They actually came to the house twice in one day even though they were short a driver and very busy. Through personal experience we have nothing but praise for this company! They will come through for you .. highly recommend!! read more

Simply crazy. My wife called them to get an estimate to remove a from the storm on 7/3/2025. They came and gave the estimate and said the only way they could remove the tree was with there crane and that it would cause damage to the front yard. They said we would have to sign a damage waiver. We told them to pencil us in but to call us before they come because we were getting other estimates. We did find another tree company that would take it down without a crane and we set them up to come on the 10th. On Wednesday the 9th we were coming home from a doctor's appointment when we received a call from one of Warwick tree companies foreman who asked where we were. We came on around the corner to see a massive crane on our front yard with a crew of workers all over the property. We jumped out of the car and told them to stop. When we were approached by the foreman we told them that we never agreed to have them do the work. He looked on the work order and did see that they were to call us to confirm. He removed the crane and that is when we saw the damage to are front yard. The foreman apologized profusely and said they would take care of the damage. We call their office and the woman also saw that they were supposed to call us to confirm. We were told that the owner Derek would take care of this mistake. Never heard a word from anyone except the foreman who did call us back and left a message to rest assured that he would handle it with the owner. We have never heard a word from anyone. We never signed any contract or damage waiver. They came on our property and caused a great deal of damage to our yard and crushed our pavers by the street into the ground. A woman named Denise finally responded to my emails. She told us that they were not going to fix a thing and that we could not prove that there machine caused the damage. We have pictures, video's and a voicemail from the foreman stating that the company was at fault and not to worry. I have not heard anything back since then. We have witnesses and pictures and video's. Our neighbor who witnessed and videoed the whole thing works for channel 12. That will be the next step we take. They trespassed on our property and caused a lot of damage and then told us to fix it ourselves. Rude and ignorant is the best way to describe how we have been treated. Never even finished the job! They were supposed to take a tree down along with brush in the back. They took the tree down never took it away!! My husband kept calling and calling to see when they were going to come and remove the tree and finish the job and they'd respond with excuses or just straight up never call him back. My husband then went down and they said they'd get back to us right away and once again never did. He went down there AGAIN this time my husband told them not to bother coming back and we only want to pay for them cutting the tree down they are insisting we still pay for the removal of the tree even though it's still on my front lawn!! She and quote said it's our responsibility to let them know to remove the tree...Like what?!? You never even finished the job!!! He called you guys for weeks!! This place sucks - The worst part is the front desk lady is miserable and bad at her job. You have to call all the time to follow up on them so you have to interact with her a lot. - They tried to bill us for our neighbors trees - When we corrected this, they tried to say "that's how they like to do it" as if we would just be like oh okay bill us for our neighbors trees then lol - They fixed the bill after we pushed back again. We never should have had to push back more than once on this since they literally were trying to bill us for someone else's trees. - They grinded our neighbors trees but not ours even though they quoted us for grinding - When we followed up on that, they said we never asked for grinding even though it was in the quote - Then they realized they were wrong and came back a week later - When they came to grind the tree, the said they couldn't grind one of them because of a pole in it - which we pointed out during the quote and they said would be fine at the time. Until my husband forced the crew to do it and turns out they could do it. - They didn't take the pole out even though the guy who quoted us said it would be no problem - When we pushed back on that, they said the person who quoted us was filling in for someone, as if that's our fault they have incompetent fill ins - Our insurance paid $1800 for one tree and they tried to have us double pay and said the insurance would pay us not them even though they got the insurances electronic check and the insurance has ALREADY paid them. The insurance double checked to make sure they received it. The electronic check was their choice according to the insurance and I definitely believe the insurance over them. - my husband asked for the owner to call him and he never did. But I'm sure the front desk woman never told the owner to call. - they damaged my neighbor's fence while grinding. I actually don't care about this at all but it's worth noting. So the worst part about this company is they're rude, incompetent, lie, damage property, double bill people, and you have to check up on them 100x to make sure the job in completed. read more

Sadly, I ordered "3" cords from these folks. I was told that they were indeed 4x4x8 feet cords. Fair enough. The wood arrived and dumped where I requested. No problem there, but not really 3 cords. Next day, I took a look at it and realized some of it won't fit in my wood stove and some of it is too big for a fireplace and these people are in the wood business? Contacted them through email and have heard nothing. I'm 75, but will have to cut the big pieces with a chain saw. It's amazing what $900 doesn't buy anymore. read more

Ordered a cord of seasoned wood delivered for my wood stove. They delivered within the week and that was the only positive aspect. The driver complained about other customers the entire time he was dumping the wood. Didn't listen to where i wanted it dropped either. As he was getting back in the cab after I paid him, he asks me if I know how to tell seasoned wood from unseasoned wood! This cord is garbage, it may be another 6-8 months or longer before it is seasoned. It has moisture content of 30% and higher on some pieces, most are above 20%. read more

Bunch of scumbags! showed up day of the job smoking a cigarette in my face. Appeared hungover or on something. They made it sound like the job was going to be all done in one day, didn't come back to grind the stump until two weeks later. Never any mention of that in the work order. I had to reschedule delivery of a shed because of this delay. The company left the yard a mess with tire tracks, large chunks of wood everywhere. I also had large spots of hydraulic fluid all over the street in front of my house from their equipment. They did come back to get the wood after I complain, but gave me an attitude and threatened leave the wood if I spoke to them anymore. The whole crew acted threatening like they wanted to fight. I had 6 70-90' pines removed. 5 removed in one day, the 6th removed the next business day. There were a couple items I wished had been done better. The bucket truck that made the actual cuts broke off branches which landed below and was never cleaned up. This guy then threw a few more into the woods once he was down on the ground. I'll have to clean them up as I wanted the trees removed because they were in close proximity to my house but also to extend my backyard. The guys up front did a great job cleaning up. Because it was pine (useless to a tree company for resale) I kept the trunks. They neatly stacked them on the very back end of a side driveway I have which is really convenient for me to get out there and cut it as time allows. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of large tree removal. I'm sure they are equally impressive with smaller jobs as well. read more

The absolute worst people ever!!! never hired this company yet they've destroyed my property TWICE! The first time we went there to tell the owner what had happened and was verbally assaulted, swore at, told that they're not responsible for what happens when they're not present, and was threatened! They called the cops on US!! When the officer showed up he said that this wasn't the first time this has happened (shocking)! The second time my neighbor called the office to tell them that their driver was speeding through my neighborhood (15mph posted limit) and the owner told my neighbor "F you you F'in bitch"! This was after they created about $5000 worth of damage to my yard!! I'm not the only resident in my neighborhood that has had damage done to their property by this company either! Nice! I live on a lake speed limit is 15 their drivers were doing at least 50. So fast that at the bottom of the hill you heard the trailer hitch hit. So I call and had to leave a message. So I called back today and the woman says yea I heard your message what do you want me to do about it? Talk to your drivers. She told me it's not her problem then proceed to call me a fucking bitch and to go fuck myself. They also dug ruts into a brand new driveway. Ran over a lawn and ruined the lawn and flowers and broke the newly installed sprinkler system! All this not their fault or problem according to them!! read more

All I can say is wow! I spoke to the owner at 11am and said I wanted 2 trees removed so I could extend the concrete patio. They shows up at 2pm the same day. Very next day they removed the large portions of the tree!! Team showed up super professional and got the job done quickly! Nice job guys!! I saw these guys working down the road about 5 months ago and decided to use them because they looked like they knew what they were doing. Had a huge maple tree with a double trunk that became very dangerous after the last storm. One side was splitting and made creaking sounds in the wind. Warwick Tree Service did a great job!! Under two hours from arrival to clean up! The guy who hung from a crane and was lowered into the tree was amazing! They cleaned up nicely. Next day they picked up the huge trunk and larger branches. They were hired to trim a red maple in order to move it back from the house for painting. Instead they cut off 3/4 of the branches so that the tree now looks like a 50 foot lollipop. They have ruined the esthetics of the tree and of the appearance of our landscaping. The price was reasonable, and their availability was pretty close. When it came time to do the job, the equipment they used and the men performing it made it fly. BEWARE!!! I called and requested one large tree removed and several others trimmed and pruned. The crew showed up and proceeded to cut all of the branches on one side of the trees leaving them completely lop sided. When I asked if he was going to trim the rest of the tree, he said he "wasn't there to prune to shape the tree" (that was what I was paying for) and if he cut from the top of the tree it would become diseased. Not the case. They then butchered my beautiful and expensive river birch tree leaving it looking like a pathetic palm tree. To make matters worse, they damaged my neighbors driveway. I called to explain the damage and poor tree work that was done. They sent someone out who couldn't believe how terrible the job was. He was embarrassed. A week later they came to "repair" the driveway and "trim" the trees. What a joke! The asphalt crumbled to pieces. I had to call back yet again and explain the situation and discuss how simply patching the driveway was not sufficient because it would look terrible. The owner, Derrick, was SO rude and refused to repair the driveway in an appropriate manner. He told me I was "crying and whining" when I further explained my disappointment in their services. Don't go anywhere else. I have used 4 or 5 companies in my 23 years at my address. Warwick Tree is, by far, the best. The office people are very polite and accommodating on the phone, and also very efficient. The workers - they work really hard and they do an excellent job, be it removing trees and stumps, or pruning. They work together like a well-oiled machine. I just met "Mike" for the first time the other day, he was very pleasant and kind, and I liked doing business with him. He is a people pleaser, and he cares about the job. As for cleanup? They don't finish the work you pay them for. Hired them to drop a bare oak tree and clean up a mess that another tree service left because national grid said our tree was a risk and needed to come down. I understand every tree company was back logged with work so it took the full 7 weeks they estimated to get to us and that was fine. However when they were supposed to clean up ALL DEBRIS one would think that would include limbs and leaves. Nope. They left heavy machinery tracks across the lawn and pushed all the leaves and limbs they didn't feel like chipping into the street. My husband ordered two cords of wood from Warwick Tree Service last week and was assured that it would be dry seasoned wood. Well, it is totally the opposit of seasoned wood to the point that my neighbor tried to burn small pieces of it in his firepit last night and wouldn't even lit on! Needless to say what occurred after. We both contacted the company but our issue hasn't been addressed by anyone. The person that we spoke to, claimed that it should be dry soon if it is left exposed to rain and sun! Like really? who is going to believe such a lie. We have been heating our house with wood for many years and know the difference between dry and totally unseasoned wood! If we are unable to solve this, we are going to contact the Attorney General's Office and the line for customer complaints to WPRI as, we not only spent $500 dollars in unusable unburnable wood but we now have no place to store the dry wood we will have to purchase in order to heat our home. read more

wish you could leave ZERO stars. my neighbor and I talked about the removal of a large pine tree on the property line. she contacted Warwick tree service. they came out gave a price. The price was agreed upon and a early April date was set to cut the tree down. I called Warwick tree service as I never heard anything from them and I had a few questions regarding the crane and the process. The secretary at Warwick tree service stated that she would have someone call me back. At the end of the day on Friday April 7, 2023 I never heard back from the I tried to call but they were closed. I call on Monday April 10, 2023 and the secretary stated that everything was all set. They would use a "spider" on the neighbor's property. The showed-on Tuesday April 11, 2023 approximately 10:30 am as they finished a job in Wakefield. They supervisor came to my driveway and asked if there was a problem with the crane on my property. I stated "No" that I called just to ask a few questions as I never heard anything about the process. He was upset about the lack of communication from his secretary as to my phone call. She never informed him and changed the equipment by herself. The foreman stated if he had known that I called he would have called back or even driven out to our house to clear up any issues. He stated he could not do the job with the equipment he brought. He stated that the job would have to be rescheduled. I called Warwick tree service at (401) 826-8733 twice in April to see if the job had been rescheduled. Each time the secretary would state "no not yet, should be next week". I called several times in May. On May 18, 2023 I called and was told that the job had been scheduled for May 26, 2023 at 8:30AM. I took the day off from work to be home while the tree was being cut. On May 26, 2023 I contact Warwick tree service at approximately 9:30AM as they had not shown yet and was told by the secretary "that there was no job scheduled that day." read more

This company trimmed three of my trees this past summer. They did an okay job except for one important area. Before they started I asked a woman in the office if they raise up the bottoms. She said yes, that's a normal part of the job. After they left the two smaller trees were not trimmed on the bottoms. I called umpteen times and the job was never finished. Every time I inquired the woman in the office kept repeating that the job was completed to spec. Claimed a couple times that they sent a guy out to check on it and they told her it was done right. None of these people they supposedly sent out ever contacted me before or when they arrived. No professionalism or service after the job. Buyer Beware. read more

This company was hired to trim some trees at the apartment complex where I live in Peace Dale. I had no idea this was happening. I came home to find that the trees outside of my windows were butchered and my view is ruined. My view of these trees is what I loved most about where I live. I feel devastated. They cut the trees back much further than was necessary and it looks really ugly. Whoever cut them has no sense of what is aesthetically pleasing. They were just hacked off in such a way that they will not grow back. I don't consider this "trimming." There is a huge gaping hole where there had been lovely branches that birds perched upon. Maybe they do a better job at private homes, but I urge caution when considering them. Or you may have to give them very detailed instructions to have it look like you want. read more

We had a great experience with Warwick Tree Service. I asked for an estimate to take down a very large 5 stemmed Silver Maple /63 " diameter that abutted our dilapidated rear fence and overhung very closely two neighbors sheds and house roofs. They gave a very reasonable estimate for such a huge job, came a few days later and cut it down. I was concerned about the proximity of the neighbors houses but needed have been as they did zero damage and cleaned up after themselves. They did leave the logs overnight that they cut down but returned promptly to remove them. They had to come back to grind the stump as they did not have that machine with them but within 2 weeks all was complete. They left no real damage to the yard nor to our stone driveway as others have reported and we highly recommend their services! I should mention that 2 other companies I asked for estimates declined the job as the tree was massive and both referred me to Warwick Tree Service so even among their own they are well regarded. Called Warwick Tree Service two remove two tree stumps in my backyard. After giving the size of the tree stomps, I was quoted USD 150.00 - 200.00 on the phone. (Size 11" and 16" diameter). The people showed up removed the stomps - It was a 20 min job and they did a good job removing those stomps. To my surprise a few days later I received a bill of USD 250.00. I called the company and the explanation given was "we had to go 4" deeper into the ground" - I do NOT think that justifies a 20% increase over the proposal. As I am happy to support small businesses during this difficult time, I do not think business should take advantage of the situation. So, would I hire them again? Absolutely NOT read more

I asked them to leave some of the wood from a tree they cut down and they did. However, the next day when they came to pick up the larger portion of the wood they decided to take it all. I called and asked them to bring it back. They unapologetically said no. They admitted it was a mistake that it wasn't written on the paperwork but wouldn't do anything about. Cleared a lot next to my house. 1st time, they cut down a large branch which landed on top of a newly planted tree & left it there until I got home and went over and got the guy to remove it. He just pulled on the branch and almost pulled my new tree out of the ground with it. 2nd time- knocked over a good portion of my stone wall right on top of a newly planted tree and left it there. This was my first time buying from Warwick tree service. The "seasoned"wood was delivered waterlogged. And not fully seasoned. I split open 10 different pieces and measure the moisture content, all 32 to 42%. This wood needs another 6 months at least to get 20%. Burning this now would result in inefficient heat levels and creosole buildup in chimney. Furthermore large portions of this wood were pieces that were extremely large and I had to split a lot of it. Will order again. So for $250 you are getting wood that will not be ready to burn properly, will need to season more. read more

I purchased firewood from them back in September 2018. When the wood came it was very wet due to amount of rain we had had that month. so i waited to stack the wood and noticed it was very dark i assumed due to wetness. after stacking and covering and uncovering depending on the weather to try to dry it out. April comes and i attempted to burn some of the wood first in my house but the smell and smoke was to much so figured need to dry more. so again i tried this time in my outdoor pit in may but same thing couldn't get it to burn without heavy smoke and the smell made fire unenjoyable. i reached out for them and was questioned on how i handled the wood upon delivery i explained exactly as i have written here. at first Denise was responsive but eventually after saying she would have someone come out and inspect the wood(never happened) she stopped responding all together. i usually do not post reviews but i feel everyone should know before buying wood from them that they do not back their services and product. it will now be almost a year and the wood is still not usable i have to pick through a cord and try to find burnable wood and i have to buy bundles to get fire hot enough still so it doesn't smoke. the wood still smells like mold when it burns just terrible experience and no customer service at all stay away from firewood here! steven higgins read more
