A fine shopping centre clearly riding the economic storms and staying out on top. Fareham Shopping…read moreCentre is a shining beacon of just how well you can do these days, even in a recession, if you just put your mind to it. And with excellent access from the A27, M27 or by Train it's easy to get there. This shopping centre has been around for years, I used to visit back in my 20's many years ago. It's always had a reasonable selection of shops but there was nothing very special about it. Well haven't times changed..my family make an effort to go here now and I'll explain why. The management have greatly improved the aesthetics, the entire shopping centre has been given a fresh lick of paint and a strong breath of ingenuity with artful designs giving a far more modern and confident feel. And rightly so, nestled in this 'minature Bluewater' are a vast selection of QUALITY shops such as Next, River island, Clarks, Waterstones, Thorntons, The Body Shop, Marks & Spencer and all the usual jewelery stores and mobile phone shops. Clearly the management have been busy over the last 10 years My family and I thoroughly enjoy visiting and perusing the many shops and numerous eateries here..the hours fly by. Security are in a large presence which is always nice to see and the entire place is meticulously cleaned. I rarely see 'mess' without a cleaner straight on it. Parking is always a problem in Fareham though. You have to be smart and come early to avoid issues. Either park in the High Street (time resticted though so be wary), behind the shopping centre (also restricted) or park in the large car park directly in front of the Apollo Cinema (but be prepared to queue and pay for the privilege). In Summary, a growing and stylish shopping centre weathering the economic troubles and succeeding. A vast selection of quality shops and resturants all under one, very well managed, roof. If only they could sort out more parking. My family and I love it and look forward to losing several hours again very soon. I score Fareham Shopping centre a firm 4/5.

Went to Whitely Shopping in November 2024. Bought a pair of shoes, went to Rock Up with 3 kids and…read morethen had lunch, none were cheap but what is these days? To my total surprise I received a letter yesterday informing me I have a parking charge to pay of £60 for staying 16 mins over a 4 hour time limit. Now I'm am probably not the most observant person, especially trying to look after 3 kids, making sure they don't walk out into traffic etc but I did not see one single sign or notification of these parking rules, I am sure they are there somewhere but not prominent enough for me to look up and take notice. this seems to be by design and a recurring theme judging by the other reviews. So fair is fair, they are your rules and I broke them, you got me! I have paid the £61.50 and cleared the ticket, well done on your ingenuity, you caught me cold and I say it's a fair cop. I will also say, swearing to God in his heaven I will never set one more foot, spend one more minute or spend one more pound in Whitely Shopping, no cinema, no climbing, no shop, no restaurant. I can only hope enough people feel the same and slowly over time the businesses at Whitely Shopping fail and you are left with another empty shell of a shopping centre much like most high streets now in the UK. People often ask why the high street is dying, well its this, this is the reason. I hope your short term profits keep you warm at night. I on the other had will now have to scale back my Christmas a little, maybe less presents for my 2 year old, she will not remember the day she was cheated, I will certainly not forget.

They also have a Pharmacy called Boots and some toy stores for Kids. Its a nice mall to come to, which also has a cinema not far. It is a bit small, but did the trick for m. I did stop at Boots for some toiletries but it seems they dont provide bags, they will charge you 5 pence for a bag! What do I do with toothpaste, toothbrush and some medicine, and no bag?!, yet still have to go eat? I stuffed my coat pockets, but felt like a shoplifter... not cool.
