Yeah....not a bad store at all. Extremely well lit and nice and warm. Very pleasant staff greet…read moreyou as you enter, (directly onto the Perfume Dept)..!! There is a very good selection of men's after shaves/etc. Walk straight on for a wide range and excellent display of men's clothing and shoes. Very good range of classic shirts, (if they've got your collar size in). Lift to upper floors for other requirements ie Ladies garments, household etc. Store situated in a partial pedestrian area, (look out for the buses)..!! Car parking locally at an extortionate price, bordering on Highway robbery. You'll need to factor this in when shopping....

I always used to hate department stores. But I have been converted over the years…read more If truth be told I would give this store a 4.5 stars if I could but in this case I have rounded up. Since I have been back in the Uk for my visit I have been 4 times to this store. The first time I was just browsing for baby clothes and toys, second and forth time it was to use the baby change facility and third time was for a makeover at the Benefit counter. On the second visit I went to the baby changing facility as the store I had planned to visit had suffered a flood in their room. Of course the toilets, baby change facility and childrens clothes and toys are all on the top floor, this has to be the main thing which would tip them to a 4.5 star review instead of 5 given that the lift/elevator is quite slow and there is no way you can get up that far with the use of stairs! The baby changing facilities are great, smelly bin/trash can aside of course (but that is a given wherever there are changing facilities). In this one there is a toilet and sink so you can go relieve yourself at the same time and if you have toddlers/small children there are mini ones for them too in there! There is a great selection of baby and childrens clothes available here, ladies clothing, mens clothing, accessories, homeware and of course a café! Debenhams are quite possibly the best of department stores in regards to their selection and availability within towns. Not many towns are without a Debenhams and that is one of the reasons why when we got married almost 5 years ago we had a wedding list with them. In addition to the registry availability you will find there is a personal shopper service available. I can spend hours in this store, or would if my little lady would let me! She is a shopper in training!

.....this inexpensive store has moved from further West of this street. Mus have, at least,…read morequadruple the space they had previously. Still has the same bargains, and many more. Well spaced aisles that cater for the crowds that shop there. Automated tills and staffed tills remain, but extra ones are now in place. The store also now houses a clothing outlet...Pepo Recommend having a look at..

If I could give this place a 3.5 star rating I would…read more I am a bargain hunter of epic proportions, even when I am in San Diego if I need something I will check out the dollar type stores before I go elsewhere. After all, if its something basic, why pay more. I do love a bargain. Items which I have located here that I have required in my stay so far have included: D batteries (for the swing to help little one nap in day) A cable for my HTC phone which I was planning to sell but cant because its damaged Adaptors because silly me forgot that ALL of my electrical stuff these days have US plugs and not UK ones. Bath books (to keep little one amused in the bath) Mouthwash (need I explain the use for this) combs (again, self explanatory) Coverall bibs (to try and at least keep one item of clothing free of food) Wipes (for both ends ;) ) Chocolate (for my sanity) Drink (non alcoholic of course but still thirst quenching) I am sure there is more, but I cannot recall at this point. Simple fact of the matter is it stocks almost everything you could need. So given that I obviously love it and seem to buy most stuff there, why the lower rating? Well, a couple of reasons: 1) The aisles in the store are not very wide so it is hard to get round with the pushchair/stroller 2) The checkout/register is always heaving so the overflow of customers going down the aisles are annoying. There are times where I have got to the register, seen the queue, put back the items and left because I didnt want to wait a long time. If you have no rush or its something essential then this place is fantastic. Not so much when you have a limited amount of time!
