It's good to see that with so many empty shops in most cities that Warwick is reversing the trend. This newly-opened shop is owned by brother and sister team Colin Stiles and Sonya Eves. Amongst the solid looking wooden furniture are soft furnishings, (including matching door stop and draft excluders in the shape of two very cute pups), pottery display items, and cutesy items such as a box of toy baby hedgehogs.
The key words in this shop are 'quality' and 'affordability'. I'm surprised that in up-market Warwick that the price tags here are much lower than similar items on sale in my home suburb of Kings Heath in Moseley. I write 'similar items' but the owners have a real eye for the unusual and they stock attractive pieces that you won't find anywhere else. An example of this are Cromer Crab Pots. These wire and class curiosities are rustic and nautical items that you want to buy half a dozen of because you love the look of them and wait until you get home to decide what you are going to use it for.
Colin and Sonya have a real eye for displaying their stock so that it looks attractive in situ as well as making it easy to imagine in your own home. This makes it a place that I'll be sure to visit again on my visits to Warwick. read more
