However, they specialise in completely different products. Khushboo Textiles offers unstitched Asian outfits and fabrics. I first came here over a decade ago after rummaging through nearby fabric shops for a unique design. And since then this boutique has never failed to impress me. They have the latest designs in quality fabrics. They are one of the few boutiques I have come across that have heavily embroidered dupattas (scarves) with their outfits, because the embroidery is usually concentrated on the tops instead. Given the intricacy of their designs and quality in their fabric, they are understandably pricey. But you pay for what you get. The staff are polite and welcoming. They can usually be twisted to offer a slight discount so bargain away!

I don't know about you but when I walk into a designer store there is often an uncomfortable atmosphere because of my very casual appearance. Here I can't fault their customer service though as the lady was very friendly and polite, not patronising! She even went as far as helping me choose an outfit with her expert fashion knowledge. It was almost like she was a personal guide. If I wasn't just window shopping there would be a nice new dress in my wardrobe right now. Like all designer stores the interior was contemporary and suited their smart casual clothing range. The shop was so well kept that it felt rude not to put a piece of clothing back in its right place. In summary Madeline Ann is a great designer store for discerning young and middle aged women.

The majority of customers will be ladies which is stating the obvious whilst the shop owners and assistants are female. It might not be a Jane Norman or a Primark but Ruchi does have something for very woman and you can get some real bargains at a great value. As they had a bit of everything the rails were overflowing with garments and parts of the walls were covered in them as well. No two items looked the same so the clothes were simply categorised together. For example there were dresses in one section and skirts in another. The fact that there were so many garments made the place look cluttered. Besides the negative criticism I have to say, like all independent clothes stores, Dazzle offers something different to the high street. This is relieving because like most ladies I don't like clashing with other people. I thought most of the clothes were great and it looked like they had something to suit every occasion. They had ball gown/ prom dresses to casual clothes and flat shoes to stilettos. Pretty diverse right? The clothes were quiet cheap; the ball gown/ prom dresses were about £50.00. With prices this cheap I was wary about the quality of the materials but with clothes this cheap I could simply replace them. The lady who worked here was very friendly as well and unlike many other Sales Assistants she actually made the effort to have a conversation. I know some customers may not like this but I do!

Popular, and occasionally you will find a great sale on, they also have some nice outfits for men. Certainly take friends and family with you on your visit here. Whatever colours you prefer they sell. I like how they speak lots of languages, and it's more convenient for my mothers generation who knows that she trusts what they're saying about their garments when she can speak to them in her own language. I'd recommend visiting the store, car parking is available nearby, and the shop is served with bus routes regularly from the city and West Bromwich. Quite busy on the weekends though.

I did ask if they could reduce the price by a small amount but they couldn't. What I will say is that the staff here are very friendly and will help you if you need it. They will happily answer your questions and offer you advice. I did find some sherwanis had way too much embroidery but I guess there are Asians out there that like Indian suits with plenty of sequins/embroidery. I'm an A-grade snob, one of those snobs who makes out like I'm really not a snob because I sometimes travel by bus and eat Pot Noodles. Due to my snobbery, I wouldn't normally buy my clothes from a shop in Old Hill. Yet in the name of Yelping, I decided to visit Glam Boutique. I wouldn't wear about 98% of the stock, but I was surprised by how trendy some of it was. There was 2% that I would wear and had been looking for for some time. I'm very particular about my leggings - they have to be made out of a specific fabric and have a seam free waistband. I'd been looking everywhere for them, only to find them a 2 minute walk from home and for a fiver. Glam Boutique sold the leggings I'd been looking for! Hurrah! I got really excited and went to the till only to find that they don't take card. It was all fine, there was a cash point next door. I got the money out and returned to pay, then the woman said that they hadn't got change for a £10 note. She then sent me to get it changed. By this point I was slightly miffed, but at least I still had my perfect leggings! I got home and they were too small. The moral to this story is: try on your perfect leggings before buying them, take cash and make sure that you have five pound notes.

For example they had a coat in there, that they was selling for........£95! Yes I Kidd you not. Now don't get me wrong, £95 ain't all that much in comparison to what you can pay for some NAME BRAND coats, but at least you know why you paying that much, even if it is for the name. But the coat was a clear rip off of the type of coats you get in Superdry stores, only obviously without the name, and definitely no where near the quality. Now my daughter really liked the style and look of this cheap, and rather thin coat, which they tried to say was very thick and warm and well worth the money, but as I ain't got money to throw away, I refused to pay £95 for a coat from this store, because of the above mentioned. I did however go to Superdry! And pic up the coat I believe they tried to replicate, which was £129 and with a lovely discount I paid £100, and that's fine as I know I'm paying for quality that won't loose any buttons within a day or 2 of wearing it, which whenever I've purchased anything from there, either the zips go, sequins fall off in the was!
