Mairs are one of the exceptional stores on Soho Road for that Asian wedding and bridal attire…read more They always display the latest designs and the fashion you can't produce in the UK, they bring all the items over from all over Asia, which includes, India, Singapore and far out east. Popular, and occasionally you will find a great sale on, they also have some nice outfits for men. Certainly take friends and family with you on your visit here. Whatever colours you prefer they sell. I like how they speak lots of languages, and it's more convenient for my mothers generation who knows that she trusts what they're saying about their garments when she can speak to them in her own language. I'd recommend visiting the store, car parking is available nearby, and the shop is served with bus routes regularly from the city and West Bromwich. Quite busy on the weekends though.

This is one shop on Soho Road I like going to and just walking into the shop, I got a sense of…read morethere being a friendly atmosphere about the place. Despite the fact I have not brought anything from here, I have tried one or two sherwanis from Mairs. Just wearing them felt good and the only thing that prevented me from buying them was price. I did ask if they could reduce the price by a small amount but they couldn't. What I will say is that the staff here are very friendly and will help you if you need it. They will happily answer your questions and offer you advice. I did find some sherwanis had way too much embroidery but I guess there are Asians out there that like Indian suits with plenty of sequins/embroidery. If Mairs did lower their prices then maybe I would buy a sherwani from here. As well as Menswear, there are Asian Ladieswear on sale here as well.

We all know fashion changes regularly, which is why I prefer buying from shops like these compared…read moreto the expensive high street stores. This shop allowed me to feel free about my dress sense (see what I did there?), keep up-to-date with fashion and not pay the huge price tag. I'm going through a phase at the moment where I'm immediately attracted to bold and bright colours so this was a good place for me to come. In fact I was so tempted to take something home! Sorry guys' there's nothing here for you but there is plenty for the ladies. They had every kind of current ladies style clothing. The clothes were literally bursting off the rails, which is good because they had a huge selection but not so good because I didn't know where to start and it made the shop look like they had too much to handle. Sometimes simple is better. I could sense the boredom of the Sales Assistants from the moment I walked in. They were both on their mobile phones, even when I spoke they were still texting and talking away on their phones!! I wouldn't have minded if they made the effort to have a little interaction with me (whilst holding their phones) but that was simply rude!! I wouldn't mind putting their attitude aside to come here again.

Sorry but I can only describe this shop as over priced tat. I mean seriously some the prices they…read morecharge for what I would call value range clothing is ridiculous. They do have some ok clothes in there, nothing to rave about, I'm talking about stuff you can pick up in places like primark or new look, but quite frankly not the same quality as the 2 mentioned stores. They charge far to much for bellow average clothing, try to give to some rubbish about it being the same items you can purchase in some of the bigger name stores in the city centre, only cheaper. in actual fact they have seriously basic clothes that they are charging high end prices for. For example they had a coat in there, that they was selling for........£95! Yes I Kidd you not. Now don't get me wrong, £95 ain't all that much in comparison to what you can pay for some NAME BRAND coats, but at least you know why you paying that much, even if it is for the name. But the coat was a clear rip off of the type of coats you get in Superdry stores, only obviously without the name, and definitely no where near the quality. Now my daughter really liked the style and look of this cheap, and rather thin coat, which they tried to say was very thick and warm and well worth the money, but as I ain't got money to throw away, I refused to pay £95 for a coat from this store, because of the above mentioned. I did however go to Superdry! And pic up the coat I believe they tried to replicate, which was £129 and with a lovely discount I paid £100, and that's fine as I know I'm paying for quality that won't loose any buttons within a day or 2 of wearing it, which whenever I've purchased anything from there, either the zips go, sequins fall off in the was! So badly that it looks stupid after, so unable to wear them. The sizes are all way off! And the price of there jeans, well they are the kind of prices you would expect to pay for Diesel or again Superdry and even river island. Basically the owner of the store really needs a reality check! You are not on the same level as the stores in town, sorry but far from it, so stop trying to get rich quick of the people in acocks green, where a lot of them are properly struggling to make ends meet, and put the pressure they get from the kids demanding the stuff you sell, and the pressure of the staff banging on about...." oh yeah that looks lovely that does, it really suits you, they sell it in town for more, I can hold it for you, put a deposit on it" and them poor parent wanting to make their kids happy, are pressured in to parting with good money for cheap mediocre clothing. In fairness the 2 ladies that work there are nice enough, and are only doing what the owner tells them to, because he wants to get rich quick, and i have to tell you, your in the wrong place, selling cheap clothes, so it's not going to happen. Price you clothing, and accessories at reasonable prices, according to the quality and standard, and maybe then your sales assistants won't look so bored because most people have wised up to your quite frankly cheap clothing, that at a glance look pretty, till you get it home and wear it once, and that your charging known stores prices, so people have stopped coming in. Sorry didn't set out to bad mouth your store, but the truth has to be said, and you really need to know what people are thinking! Oh and the fact that when it comes to "your so called sale" I'm sure there is some kind of law against what your doing! Selling items at one price, let's say £45, and when your "sale" is on marking £85 on the tag, then crossing it out, and "marking it down" to the what was the original price anyway £45 disgusting trading standards springs to mind!!!!!
