Honestly, I was very skeptical that this could help my son. I was starting to believe his school of…read morethe possibilities that we might be facing issues of some type learning disability and other issues like ADHD or ADD. See my son is in the 3 grade but he couldn't read. He would get frustrated easily. It was pulling teeth trying to get him to even try. There's many nights that he would just cry and then Id follow with frustration. His retention was a big problem and to make thing worse his ability to sit still was at a bare minimum. I was in crisis and didn't know what to do or where to turn to. So, with little hope I did some research and came across Sylvan. I call this center and spoke to the Director Trischa. I immediately signed him up for the testing. Trischa was very thorough and compassionate to my son's situation and showed a lot of interest to uncover what was going on. I shared what I had been told by his educators and the possibilities of ADHD or ADD. Trischa, let me know that Sylvan does not diagnose learning disabilities but if she saw definite signs of any kind she would make the referral to someone that could. Moving forward we get the test results and she tells me how she tested Jason at grade level and discover academic gaps in every grade level clear down to kinder. She was straight forward and said "Your son is severely behind and whether you bring him to me or somewhere else you need to get him help today, because his behavior will only get worse which could lead to putting him into unnecessary programs. She out lined everything single step the could help my son and assured me she could help Jason. Everything sounded to good to be true but I was desperate and I didn't want my son to go through another year of hell. So, we enrolled him over the summer. I think it was within the first 3 weeks I started to see my son Personality change. He was more calm, he seemed less stressed. I thought it was just me because I wanted so desperately for him to get better. But nope! It was working. He started reading street signs and pointing out words. He's happier, and much more confident. We just had our first back to school conference and he is 90% better. He's reading not skipping words, understanding what he's reading and he is even participating in class. The teacher didn't complain about his moving around. Which was always the number one things teachers complained about. When I asked her about it she commented that she didn't see anything out of the norm. We still have two months to go, and he is almost right at grade level but the amount of improvement that he has made has been priceless. I am so thankful for what this amazing center has done for my son. Trischa and her staff are amazing! So if your child has any problems pull all the stops because Sylvan and this team is the real thing. All the kids there seem to enjoy being there. I never see anyone complain including mine. They have a great motivation store for the kids. Trischa really gets involved with them. You'll see her play games with the kid. I will tell you she's a tough cookie but my son looks up to her and he likes her. He is expected to read every night and I have never been able to get him to read on his own before so that alone was my another indication that this lady is doing some amazing things. I could go on and on about what Trischa and Sylvan has done for our family but that's because, I truly appreciate all of their hard work and dedication they have put into my son. I highly recommend this for anyone who is struggling. THANK YOU TRISCHA AND TEAM!

!!!!!! Don't purchase any packages here. You will regret it…read more Be very careful before purchasing a large prepaid package from this learning center. Our family prepaid for a 60-hour package. After using part of the program, we experienced concerns regarding the instructional quality and teaching experience. We even requested a teacher change during the program due to teaching style concerns. Unfortunately, the issues persisted and the program became a source of frustration and stress for our child. We decided to discontinue the program with 44 hours still unused. What surprised us most was that despite having approximately $2,468 worth of unused hours remaining, the center refused any refund and relied entirely on a non-refundable policy. The only options offered were to keep the package on hold indefinitely or continue using services that were no longer working for our child. My advice to other parents: do not prepay for a large package unless you are completely certain the program, teachers, and teaching style are the right fit for your child. Teaching quality and student experience are important factors that cannot be fully evaluated in advance, and if problems arise later, you may have no practical way to recover the unused balance. I am sharing this experience so other families can make an informed decision before committing thousands of dollars upfront.
