First brewery I have been to where dogs are not allowed. Very odd for a place with as much out door seating as this one.

Alga Beer Co. was a great little brewery stop while we were exploring Pensacola. We didn't have a…read morelot of time, but I'm glad we made the stop. I tried one of their IPAs and really enjoyed it--refreshing, flavorful, and a solid example of a good local craft beer. The taproom has a cool, laid-back atmosphere with plenty of seating and a nice neighborhood brewery feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it seemed like the kind of place where you could easily settle in for a few beers with friends. We only had time for one beer on this visit, so I didn't get to explore nearly as much of the tap list as I would have liked. That's probably the best reason to come back! Definitely worth checking out if you're in Pensacola and enjoy visiting local breweries.

Pull up to Alga Beer Company in Pensacola and the first thing you see is that big "Welcome to…read morePensacola, Florida" sign out front like the place is personally inviting you in for a cold one. This joint's got that easy Gulf Coast attitude: flip-flops, shorts, sunglasses on your head, and nobody judging how loud your table gets after the second round. The beer's solid, the lunch hits the spot, and the prices won't punch your wallet in the face. Clean place, good service, and the kind of casual hangout where you can roll in with a couple buddies and make an afternoon of it. And the vibe? Lemme tell ya... it's the kind of place where one guy orders a flight and suddenly everybody's doing "research." Next thing you know someone's yelling, "Hey bartender, this one tastes like vacation!" and another guy's arguing with a taco like it owes him money. Good brews, good food, good prices BOOM that's the whole deal. Bring some friends, get a little loud, laugh too hard, and enjoy Pensacola the way it's meant to be enjoyed: cold beer in your hand and nowhere important to be.

A 14" Pizza is just $13 and each topping is $1 more. They make "beer shrooms" (that they sauté with Emerald Republic beer... and are so yummy) as a topping, and they were phenomenal! We got pepperoni, beer shrooms, roasted red peppers, and roasted garlic. The roasted garlic was a little pungent for my taste, but it was still very good. The service was amazing! Olivia was our bartender, and she was soooo friendly and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable about the beers and made us feel at home. As for the beers... we just LOVED their There & Back Again Hefeweizen & the award winning Gozen Cherry Sour. Both were perfectly poured, cold, fresh and crisp! They also offer a full bar if beer isn't your thing. This place is very clean, with a cool decor, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They do lots of specials (including a Taylor Swift themed Galentine's Day coming up on 2/13/25). The people are so nice, so come out and support them in a super chill atmosphere!

https://emeraldrepublicbrewing.com/…read more If your in the Pensacola, FL area and want a drink that is locally brewed on site then this is a awesome place to stop. The drinks are great and the food truck out front "A Rustyc Spoon" has some good meal options. The price is a bit high for the portions but it's a food truck and typically that's how it goes when you order from a truck. I do suggest going and getting a drink above all you won't regret it. Tell them "Phatt Panda- 1/2 Time" sent you. It won't get you anything but at least it will let them know you found them from a review on yelp!

My first lunch stop was back to Lucy's, and I couldn't help ordering the same lunch as last year. Pick-two: I again enjoyed the delicious, thick tomato red pepper soup with a crisp, melty grilled cheese and a coke zero. They have a great bar but I was driving a rental. staff is lovely and I saw that the server I had last time was still working there, which makes happy to see staff that seem to love their jobs. Don't forget to dunk your sandwich in the soup!

As it was taco Tuesday, we started with their queso and chips! I ordered one of their special margaritas and my wife, a glass of the house cab. Our queso dish came out fairly quickly with our drinks. The queso was delicious! We ordered a side of salsa to go with it. Was surprised that the salsa side was $6. Being taco Tuesday, her tacos were just under Half Off for a bargain of $3each! My wife ordered their steak and blue taco and the California chicken taco. I ordered their pulled pork and shrimp taco. The tacos were absolutely delicious! Must say our margaritas were delicious as well!
