They hosted karaoke BINGO, which was super fun and added a unique twist to the evening. Although the menu was smaller, the beers were absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the taco food truck on their outdoor patio - the tacos were a perfect complement to the drinks. I was in Pensacola for four nights and ended up visiting twice. The bartenders were polite and knowledgeable, answered all questions we had. We even played UNO there, making it a great time overall. The beer selection is awesome, the staff is amazing, the space is perfectly laid out and there is a huge outside as well which gives a completely different experience! Don't get it wrong, they have a lot of styles, just nothing weird. I had a flight of 6 and all would be recognizable and considered well executed. By the way, they poured maybe 4 oz in every glass. It was a rainy, dreary weekday when I visited but the experience I had was good enough to make the day better just by being at Perfect Plain Brewing. It was chilly in downtown Pensacola and this facility is more suited to having its doors open to bring the fresh air in so dress warmly if that thermometer is closer to 50 than 70 degrees. This is a pretty no frills working brewery. There is a corner section with merchandise, some free-standing tables and chairs and a countertop with seating. The rest of the space seems to be mainly devoted to making great beer! And so it should be. There is no food prepared on the premises of the brewery. But a winding walk through the facility leads to the back and an outdoors patio. It was not the sort of day to sit outside, which looked very picturesque and inviting, but the food truck parked back there was ready, willing and very capable of turning out some tasty food. Then ordering a beer to accompany that tasty food was all that I needed to achieve a state of eating and drinking bliss. Good location to head out from to explore the downtown area by foot. Stroll around the square, check out the shops and then head back for another bite and brew! read more

I have been to several top notch craft breweries over the last few years. Perfect Plain is A-OK. It is not perfect, It is not exceptional. But, it would a lot better if they didn't run out of the beer you are drinking. I get that means it is a popular and tasty beer, but when you try and switch to any of the others beer options and they are just horrible - that sucks. It's a work in progress. If you want a chill spot to grab a beer and take a cute aesthetically pleasing Instagram photo, this is your place. From the outside you wouldn't expect much from the industrial looking front bar area. But once you make your way to the back garden you will be brought into a whole different atmosphere. A giant mural wall, little fire pits, chic bar and lots of outdoor seating. The bartenders are all super friendly and accommodating. I am a big sour beer fan, so I'm always on the hunt for something new. Currently they have the slushy sally on tap which is a fruited sour coming in with a whopping 10% but you wouldn't be able to tell from the taste. read more

I'm always looking for dog friendly places to take my goldendoodle. This brewery has a nice garden in the back with a bar and taco food truck. First of all the food was really good and what's great is this places doesn't just have beer, the outside bar also has cocktails. There's plenty of seating outside with shade for hot days and giant fans with mist so it is great for dogs if you decide to sit outside. I asked the bartender after ordering a flight: "How long have you been open?" With the crowd the size that it was, I expected him to answer that they'd been around for several years. Obviously, they were well loved! His answer shocked me - saying that they'd only been open for a few months!! They are doing *everything* right. From the nicely appointed tap-room with a cozy vibe and ample seating, to the knowledgeable bartenders, to the absolutely delicious beer. My hubs and I both ordered a flight, each with different beers. I liked every single one. Here's my reviews: Coco Gnar - by far my favorite. I later ordered a pint (or two) of this. The coconut is the star of the show - not just a supporting actor. Holy Spin - my second favorite. I love a hazy IPA and this one knocks it out of the park. Not too bitter forward, easy to drink. South by Northwest - Very flavorful and aromatic. Not your typical ale. Daddy Smack - So, it's an IPA - but I for some reason thought it was going to be a cream beer because of it's name! I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. Very fruity and delicious. Over Easy Cafe - I could literally substitute this for a meal (particularly one that starts in the AM) and I think I just might the next time I'm in town. Perfect Plains Brewing is a great addition to the craft beer scene that is starting to make way in the Pensacola area. They have a great open space with a lot of tables for seating and a long bar that can accommodate at least 12-15 people. They have huge garage doors that open up to the main street that really make their space feel bigger than it appears. I tried their "Movers & Shakers" Tropical Haze IPA which ran me about $6 for a 12oz pour. It was my first time trying these hazy style IPAs. Poured in the glass it looks like orange juice. It had very minimal head formation but a great body of flavor. I liked that it didn't have that really bitter after taste that a lot of IPAs are known for. Would definitely recommend this to someone who is still new to drinking IPAs. If you're looking for some new craft brews to enjoy, I definitely recommend checking out Perfect Plains Brewing. read more

This is an awesome brewery in downtown Pensacola! We stopped in for the first time for a few beers before grabbing dinner. Service was quick and the beers were great! First we split a flight that had a pale ale, lager, gose, and an IPA. My favorites were the the pale ale and the lager. We each got a glass of our favorite beers after that. They need to partner with a different vendor for food and have that be a more cohesive process. Right now it's super clunky. First time visiting this weekend. They had a great selection of beers that were all very palatable. I had a flight to try a variety and was impressed with all 4. The biggest thing i noticed though was the smell of cleaning products when I walked in...not overwhelming, but enough to know that the space is cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Seeing as we are in the midst of a pandemic, that (and the staff wearing masks) made me feel a lot better about being out in public. They also had a great open-air layout, which allowed us to sit outside, away from others, while still being able to watch the game inside. Will definitely visit again. As far as beer goes, I'm a huge fan of light beers and often struggle to find something I like a craft breweries. Their prickly pear gose was amazing, as was there American lager. The seltzer was super good too...but dangerous. It was so light and refreshing that I could see myself drinking way too many of them. read more
