And at his 1 year check up we relayed this information, due to their strict vaccine policies Dr. Rustom said "we can't see you here anymore, we don't believe in that research" and shut the door on us without saying anything else. This practice refuses to show you the vaccine ingredients / packaging and as a parent I would like to know what you are going to put in my child's body. With that being said his 1 year check up was not completed. I left in a rage and in finding another doctor they requested his medical record. I called the medical records line MULTIPLE TIMES and got "you are next in line" and then they hung up. So I finally went in and filled out paper work for the record 2/4/25 & they said it would take up to two weeks for a CD (the only type of record they do) and they would call me. I called a few days later to check if it had been sent in. The receptionist told me she wasn't able to tell me that information. I was persistent because the practice had been dodging my calls since we were told we couldn't be seen and I was out on a hold for a minute and she stated the record was ready. And at pick up the ready date was 2/5/25 a DAY after. I recieved no calls, no updates, nothing. They were extremely unprofessional and rude. I do not recommend if you don't want to be heard or respected.

Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

We arrived 5 min early for our appointment time and wound up waiting for over 25 minutes. When I went back to the check in desk to ask what the issue was, they didn't even have my son's name correct and stated that they had the folders swapped. Mind you there were only 2 rooms with patients. This type of incompetence is not what we pay for and is completely unacceptable. There is a sign at the check in desk that states if you are 15 min late for your appointment you will need to reschedule, but they have no problem making you wait more than 15 min for a 10 min checkup. Needless to say will no longer be going to this practice.

We hadn't scheduled any appointments with them in 2022 and at some point during that time period, they stopped taking our insurance. We didn't receive a notice or anything regarding this --which may not be much of a big deal, but it would have allowed me to look for another pediatrician way back then. It wasn't until about a week ago that I found out when I tried to make an appointment for my middle son and we found out they no longer took our insurance not when we made the appointment, but when the appointment actually was supposed to occur. The issue I have is that as a result I had to find a new pediatrician --which was fine I guess--, and when it came time to fax over my children's medical records, they said I had to pay a $25 fee before they would even send the records over. For some reason that REALLY bothers me because it is not MY fault they no longer take my insurance, but as a result, I am FORCED to find a new pediatrician so I shouldn't have to pay a fee to send the records to the new pediatrician because I have NO other choice! I could understand if so were requesting the records for a new doctor that I decided to change to of my own volition, but this wasn't voluntary. On top of paying the fee --which I did-- they said it would take a week or two just to get it to our new pediatrician. UPDATE: The doctor contacted me after seeing the review to let me know that her new front desk associate made a mistake by charging me the fee to have the records sent for the same reason that I didn't think I should have had to pay it (not our fault that the office no longer accepts our insurance). They reversed the charge for the fee and even sent the medical records the following day instead of the one to two weeks that the associate I originally spoke to quoted. The doctor was very kind and supportive in making sure all issues were rectified and even offered to still see our kids somehow if we were running into difficulties finding a new pediatrician that would accept our insurance.
