The phone process of scheduling an appointment is the worst of any company I have ever experienced. The call center is hopelessly backed up with waits of greater than 10 minutes being the norm. The hold messages gives no indication of how long the wait is expected to be and for more than the past year has been playing a message that blames the delays on the transition to a new medical records system. Management should ALL be terminated for gross incompetence.

The test was completed at 8:40 AM. I was asked to wait in case radiology had questions. Well, no one was there, so they sent me home 40 min later. Did I mention this test was supposed to be rushed? It is now 2 pm the next day, and NO ONE has read the test. I have canceled 2 doctor's appointments, and I am hoping they will have it by the end of the day today. I spoke to someone who said they didn't have a radiologist to read it. WHAT? That is all they do. I am pretty sure it is remote at that. I will never return. What gross incompetence. The fact that the test was labeled STAT and no one has looked at it is beyond comprehension. Maybe they should listen to their own message (which I did for the better part of 30 minutes) about how they are on top of things and care ablout patients. Just horrible.

About 15 minutes I was asked for my license normally when asked for an id they give me paperwork to fill out nope another 15 minutes go by and finally the woman behind the desk gives me stuff to fill out. I fill it out and went to give it back and no one seems to be back there. Why you ask because they were in the back with a woman laughing and chatting up a storm. So I leave my stuff on the desk. I wait and wait my paper work is still in the same spot. Finally someone comes back and I let her know I finished she says thank you and walks away leaving the papers in the same spot. Every once in a while I check to see if it has moved nope still in the same spot but this time garbage was on top of it. Finally the lady that was chatting in the back with the staff has come out to check out and yet still chatting showing pictures on her phone. But yet my paper work hasn't moved. Lady leaves and my stepmom gets up and asks how long is this going to take mind you I've been there for over an hour. The lady behind the desk says it's going to be after the lady that's before me. After my doctor confirmed that my insurance approved the MRI and sent over the order, I followed his advice and called Beaches MRI directly to schedule, just in case the referral wasn't received or they were too busy to reach out. I called Friday morning around 9:30 AM and was sent to a voicemail that claimed it was "after hours." I initially assumed they were closed on Fridays, but later learned that this is just their default voicemail when no one answers -- a fact I confirmed when I had to call again to confirm their address and someone answered after getting the same message. Despite leaving a voicemail Friday morning, I didn't receive a call back until Monday afternoon. When I mentioned this delay, the receptionist casually apologized. I scheduled my appointment and asked multiple times about timing because, as a parent, my days are tightly packed and I have to coordinate care, rides, and meals for my family. I was told the MRI itself would take no more than 25 minutes. On the day of my appointment, I found myself with an extra hour and called to see if I could come early. Initially, they told me they were fully booked -- understandable -- but a few minutes later, I received a call that they had a cancellation and could take me early. They ask that patients arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, but I had already completed everything online as instructed. I immediately got in the car and, despite hitting every red light, still arrived 40 minutes early. Since my paperwork was already submitted, I expected a quick turnaround. Instead, I sat in the waiting room with no internet, watching a cooking show, for 40 minutes -- up to my original appointment time. Then I was brought back, changed into a gown, and sat in the hallway for another 10 minutes. At this point, I was already 25 minutes past the time I had been told I would be finished with the test. Morgan, the receptionist I'd spoken to earlier, had assured me I'd be done in time to meet my other obligations. Instead, I was left scrambling, 30 minutes behind schedule, trying to keep things on track for my family. And just when I thought the experience was done, the front desk staff asked for my ID and insurance as I was leaving. What were they doing the entire time I was waiting in their lobby? This kind of poor service -- from miscommunication and misleading time estimates to lack of follow-through -- is unacceptable. I'm tired of businesses not valuing my time or being honest about expectations. I was told the MRI would take 25 minutes max, with only 17 minutes of scan time. In the end, I spent over 90 minutes there for something that was promised to be quick and simple. There are plenty of imaging centers in the area -- I highly recommend going somewhere else. I will not return to Beaches MRI, nor will I refer others. Respect and transparency matter, and unfortunately, I didn't experience either here

I asked for the person calling to email me the information forms all doctor's offices ask of new patients. The office person sent me an email to confirm the appointment but no forms were attached. In that initial phone call, no questions were asked of my medical history. Two days before my appointment I emailed to ask for the forms. I received no reply. Today I arrived at the doctor's office about 10-15 minutes early. The door was locked (though a sign next to the door said they should be open) and noone was answering the phone and I called the number I had for the office two times. I was about to leave when I went in a next door office. They called up and the MRI technician answered the phone and came over and got me. While I was filling out the forms for today's appointment, I told the technician I have a mechanical heart valve. To make a long story short- I couldn't have the MRI done. The office needs information on the valve and I didn't have it with me and my cardiologist office doesn't have it readily available. An MRI office should screen future patients in the initial phone call about their being metal in the bodies. So patients don't waste their time I did today. This MRI office doesn't know what they are doing and are unprofessional. Avoid them if at all possible. Update- I had a second experience with these buffoons. They made the our first time around feel like a joyous experience. Again I needed an MRI. I don't have my heart valve card. They asked for the surgical report. I got it for them. Not good enough. They wanted a letter from the doctor. I got a script from the doctor. He said I can have an MRI. No issue. Still not good enough. These idiots knew a doctor's note wouldn't satisfy them and they made me do it anyway. Why didn't these morons just call Abbott (Formerly St Jude) and ask for the particulars on my valve except that they are lazy idiots I can't understand. I called Abbott and I'm not supposed to be a medical professional. I got the information and in a phone call that lasted around five minutes. Abbott made it perfectly clear they can FAX the MRI place anything they need to know. MRI Guys can't do this. They are totally unprofesional medical people. Don't ever go to this place.
