I don't even know where to start because there is so much bad things to say. Let me start off with you will be living with cockroaches. They are shortstaffed they never help when you need. They basically suspended the PHP program and kicked us all out. All they care about is money. I was there for about two months and my insurance covered every week and now they sent me a $42,000 bill saying I was never in network if I was never in network they wouldn't have kept me there that long but I will be hiring a lawyer for that unless they decide to fix it. They don't give a shit if you're hungry and you run out of food. The staff flirts with the clients which is unprofessional, and it was brought to the higher-ups attention and nothing was done. Half these people on these reviews aren't even real. I'll be leaving another review. Please do not believe they refused. They force people to do them when they leave. Don't be fooled by them. I could never work for a company who cheats people and does insurance fraud. Also, please do not listen to admissions everything they tell you is a complete lie. I had written two reviews when I was still there and I was forced by the higher-ups to delete them. All they care about is looking good is my point there's a lot of other good treatment centers to go to I would really do my research. read more

Specialties

Relying upon current research, CWC's founders have developed a unique program for early recovery. Because time in active addiction, to all substances, invariably leads to social isolation, poor self-care, and an array of serious health problems, CWC's approach is to address each of these issues independently. CWC will teach our guests the importance of Social Support, and ways to develop a support system crucial to recovery. Our health and fitness program focuses on nutrition and exercise and, because we fully understand the mental toll associated with addiction, the third component of the program promotes "staying in the present moment." Some time ago, the medical community determined that institutionalized care was not the best strategy for treating those struggling with substance abuse challenges. They found that a comfortable, relaxing, safe, secure environment was best. In keeping with this therapeutic philosophy, Comprehensive Wellness Centers offers its guests a peaceful, serene atmosphere and the ideal surroundings for making a fresh new start. Located in Coastal Palm Beach Florida, CWC is housed in a small, intimate Old Florida/Key West style building, once a popular Bed & Breakfast destination for northern visitors. This is supposed to be a family place to help out the client. What help are you giving off you make things worse so when your significant other gets back home? They are walking back into a worse situation then when they left. This is not a family place only the client. You get no support on how to help them but they will make it worse. They are there for the money and nothing else from what I can see.

She was unreasonable and it was a total waste of time. Trying to talk to ANYONE there by phone is IMPOSSIBLE. I left messages on every extension they had asking them to call me back, they never did! They sent my wife to the ER without just cause. They indicated that her case was too complex for them and they were not medically capable of handling her and they sent her to the ER to "dump her", instead of admitting they were not capable. There are many choices for Detox and Rehab. Don't choose this one!

They were deception and called my husband back home and told him that I could not continue treatment unless he sent $4,000 immediately. I had excellent insurance which would pay 85% of my bill and I would pay 15%. We should have never been directly contacted to pay anything. It should have gone to our insurance and they would pay 85% of the bill and I would pay the remaining 15%. Our insurance was not notified by BeachesTreatment Center about about my husband paying the $4000 so I still ended up paying 15% of my total bill. Beaches Treatment did not deduct the $4,000 from what I owed them. Also, when they took the patients out for a movie at a local theater, we all had to wear Tee Shirts with Beaches Treatment Center printed on them in bold letters. It was embarrassing and I suspect a HIPA violation. They would only allow me to speak to my family on speaker phone with their representatives listening to both sides of our conversation. I was treated like a captive. I can only say that the therapists did try to do a good job with the clients, but everything else was a horrible nightmare.

My mom was there for rehab after a couple week stay in the hospital on the advice of the hospital…read moredoctor in March of 2026. First, let me say that the PT Department was great! But...Hamlin Place gave her regular soda, a normal diet even after I spoke to them about it. She is diabetic. When I went to the desk and told them her sugar was 395 and she couldn't stay awake enough to have her PT sessions I was told she was on a sliding scale of insulin. That's it. No attempt to reduce it. She wasn't given her sleeping pill for 4 days. She was put in bed naked in those not so clean sheets because "they didn't have any clean gowns on the cart until afternoon." I went to the DON and they found a clean gown for her immediately after I complained. Had to buy a remote and bring it in and program the TV. Theirs broke and we asked for another one for 5 days and then we just bought one ourselves. They ran out of ABD pads for wound care after 2 days and told us to buy them and bring them in ourselves. Last but not least, they brought my mom hot tea and it was spilled on her flank area causing 2nd degree burns. She was crying and an aide told her don't touch it. She couldn't see it and thought the pain was from some wounds she had so she didn't know. I took her out of there early because of all of this. Once she was out and home the NP asked about it and told us that was a burn and why didn't they treat it? We started a lawsuit because of the burn, but my mom passed a few months later so we couldn't continue.

VIP care management was able to handle all that was required to get the Medicaid application process as painless as possible. They provided ample information as to what they needed, and I simply scanned and emailed everything to them and before I knew it, my Mom got accepted by Medicaid. They even referred me to an excellent edler care attorney that helped in the process of getting my mom eligible where I had thought it might not be possible. (Not Uncommon these days) When he first got there he told me how nice the place was. Coming from my son that's good. He's like the Siskel and Ebert of program reviewers lol. He spent three weeks in their PHP program and then transistioned to the halfway house, He had a slip. Randy (Director) and Chris (works there) did everything in their power to get him back in detox. It was a monumental task but they did it. They communicated with me even in their off hours. They went above and beyond and didn't have to do that, but they did. I can't thank them enough for what they did. This place and staff is not about the money. They're about actually helping people with their addiction and getting them on the road to recovery. While my son was there PBR is very activity based. They did a lot with him from rope climbing to snorkeling, horseback riding to name a few. They're heavily meeting based. This is important because once you leave a program you MUST attend a 12 step program. They're 100% legitimate on insurance and billing. But if your insurance runs out they don't throw you to the gutter. They will do everything in their power to keep you in their program and if they can't for some reason they will make sure that your in another or a safe place. They're good people with good hearts ! When my son completes detox he's going back there. (I Hope) While he was at Palm Beach Recovery he looked and sounded the best he has in a long time. I had my son back. If your thinking about sending a loved one there all I can say from my experience is do it ! Will my son get better and recover ? No one knows. A person has to want to do it and be sick and tired of being sick and tired. Many people do recover. Some die. Some live a long time causing themselves grief and those around them grief. Overall, I was disappointed with this SNF (skilled nursing facility).

My Dad enjoyed residing in Independent Living at the Vi. But after a fall in his apartment led to…read morehis permanent residency in their care (rehabilitation) center, it was a terrible way to live for his last year. He went from a beautiful fully equipped residence to a tiny semi-private room where he could not even subscribe to his own cable TV. Not even a storage area for him to use, as provided in the Independent and Assisted Living residences. The staff there is friendly but terribly short-handed. Once he was finished with his prescribed rehab paid by medicare, the only exercise available in the gym was approximately $45 an hour. And when we tried twice to sign him up, our requests were ignored. A nurses aide walked with him two or three times a week for about 10 minutes, that was all the moving around he got to do. The doctors who work there are a joke. Maybe if one of them, or a nurse, had put a stethoscope to my father's chest, they might have suspected the pneumonia that wound up killing him a few weeks later.

My experience here at CWC has been nothing short of amazing. It was here that I learned the fundamental tools that I incorporate in my daily life to stay clean and sober. For starters, CWC has a small intimate setting, giving it a family orientated environment. The staff takes a personalized approach when communicating with clients. They are aware that each individual responds differently to challenges and everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Drugs are just a symptom of our disease and in order to address that, you must first focus on the mental health issues. This includes one-on-one counseling sessions with professional therapists as well as group therapy to discuss any problems that arise throughout our day. They provide open and honest feedback while displaying a genuine concern in rectifying our issues. The clinical team provides education about the sociology behind our disease allowing us to better understand our addiction, in turn, this helps avoid relapse. During my stay here I've noticed that clients who leave against medical advice (AMA) promptly return after they realize the assistance that CWC is providing them to overcome their addiction. They realize the resources here are unparalleled to any other treatment center. Although this is a business they never lose focus of the primary purpose, providing a safe a sober living environment. In addition to providing sober support, CWC makes it a priority to show that there is a life outside of drugs and alcohol. We engage in activities such as movie nights, going out to eat at Tijuana Flats (a popular Mexican restaurant known for their delicious tacos), beach outings and visiting fine arts museums. They make learning fun so we are interested in educating our minds. They do not give up on their clients. You don't feel like you're a commodity and your concerns are addressed by any means necessary. I could not have picked a better facility to help me overcome my addiction to Crystal Meth. All the staff members here, from the maintenance attendant to the techs, all the way to the CEO maintain a great rapport with the clients. Everyone here is willing and able to help us remain clean and sober. Staff was beyond amazing from intake up (Renee rocks), the programming was better than any other treatment center I've been to. Gary Kimble, a historian of A.A. walked me through the steps and gave the program so much more meaning than ever before. (Everyone Loves ya Gary)Truly blessed to have that aspect of recovery while learning in group therapy, tools and skills to stay sober. The techs are mostly in recovery and truly understand us (Love y'all too, to many to mention, but all you are amazing) and the counselors are always willing to go above and beyond. I have been in treatment for bipolar and chemical dependency issues since the age of 15 and when I completed treatment I always immediately returned to self medicating with illegal substances within hours or days. I never got anything out of treatment until I finally went to CWC. At the age of 42, I was broken, battered, scarred, and had no soul or desire to live anymore. I surrendered to my addiction with heroin and crack cocaine at CWC. I learned so much and received nothing but the best care possible by the great staff and clinicians. I finally understood, through working with my therapist and Gary K, that I was powerless over drugs. That I wasn't worthless and a bad person. I had a brain disorder that was terminal and wanted to kill me. I was taught to love myself again and become a productive member of society through hard work and facing my disease. Unfortunately I have been to several rehabs, so I have a barometer for comparison. The staff is friendly and accommodating(Techs). The therapists/clinicians are professional and thorough. Through this program, I have met two people that I feel are going to be instrumental in my long term sobriety. Gary K and Andrew B have instilled trust and a sense of knowledge of the true nature of my disease. Hope. For the first time, I am working the steps (Gary K) and getting clinical answers (Andrew B). My desire to not leave the area says volumes to/about change because I really don't care for South Florida. The accommodations are excellent here at CWC. Case manager, Mandy K is unbelievably organized, thorough, and consistent. CWC would collapse without her. CWC literally saved my life. One big difference between this treatment center and the other ones I've been to is the fact that the people here believe in me and believe I can stay clean; that has made all the difference. CWC offers all the necessary tools to keep me sober and it's up to me to apply them in my daily life. If you're hesitant about treatment, I would definitely suggest coming here; it will save your life if you let it. If you're still unsure about recovery, try it daily for a year, and if you don't like it after the year, go back to your old life. This is my first time in treatment and I believe it to be my last. My experience at CWC has been life changing, not only because of the program, but also because of the staff. These people make you feel welcomed and right at home. Also, you're taken on outings. Here is where I saw the ocean for the first time. It feels nothing like treatment at all and more like vacation than anything else. You're offered many things here, such as doctor, dental and therapy appointments. This place really taps into getting your mind, spirit and body together. These people love you while you learn to love yourself. Even in long periods of sobriety, never did my heart change. My experience at CWC was really good! I loved the staff. It helped with my anxiety and depression a lot. I learned new coping skills such as breathing exercises. The group therapy wasn't really my thing, it never has been. I have learned to be sober and be truly happy! I haven't felt this happy in a long time. I will really miss CWC. I've gotten close with the people here and I'm kind of sad that I'm leaving. But I feel like everything will be alright. I just hope I have people I can call. I have been to several treatment facilities and comprehensive Wellness Center is by far the best one I have been to. they really care the staff was just like family they truly have saved my life and I would recommend anyone in need of treatment going their. if it wasn't for CWC I would probably be dead I have a relationship with my family now and have a new family as well. the therapist were more intimate as far as spending quality time getting to the root of all my issues. they bent over backwards to make sure all my physical issues we're taking care of. the doctors here really went all out to make sure I addressed all my needs. read more

I was struggling for many years finally decided enough is enough I transferred from One Rehab facility to CWC I guess God was looking out for me and the people I met here made me want to stay clean and be a part of more than I've ever felt before Gary, Amy, Keith, Jason Mandy and all the tech's, we're some of the best people I have ever come in contact with. The past couple years I have been in and out of treatment. I have relapsed and relapsed. Lost touch with a program of recovery and the people in it. Hitting my bottom became my biggest blessing. I have found God has worked in ways that I cannot. Comprehensive Wellness was not that place I wanted to be at, but it was the place I needed to be. Through groups and the help of Gary K. I was able to understand my disease, through Gary K I was able to work a program throughly and start to see that work in my life. I've been in and out of treatment for the past six months and havent been able to get it quite right yet but a combination of me being beaten down completely and having all of the tools I need here at CWC and the friendliest staff to assist me with all my needs whether it's getting something done on the outside world while being in PHP such as apts. and payments or just someone to talk to and a should to cry on they handled ever thing. At CWC I had one of the best treatment center experiences ever!! Every tech member, staff member, the medical team and even the owner of the facility treated me with the respect and dignity that everyone deserves. CWC gave me the tools that saved my life. My life was spiraling out of control. Jail or death was the only thing left. I didn't want either. From the first day that I arrived i knew this was the place I was supposed to be. The clients,staff,and therapist helped me find myself without drugs or alcohol. The Staff is amazing here, i feel like a rehabilitation center is only as strong as its weakest link. Facility was left unlocked to test patients and see if they'd escape, but some did and got into some situations on the streets because it's a bunch of fast food places and stuff. They'd still get into trouble for trying to escape even if they went batshit crazy We got in trouble for things simple as not eating just because we were upset and had to write real long essays. Staff were alright, some were kind of assholes though and one of the therapists had a DUI charge if you look at the Reddit post someone made about this place. HIPPA laws were violated not gonna lie, for some reason whenever someone went a level down in residential they had other kids vote. Why's this an issue? Because I knew my shit five days in and they were jealous because they don't handle their problems on their own. One of my friends was forced to share their r*pe story to I don't know, maybe around 40 kids in the room?? They didn't want to which their privacy shouldn't be violated like that in the first place and they broke down crying. The computer lab smelled like cigarettes and we weren't allowed to contact our parents if we got in trouble. Apparently it was only once a week under supervision so my dad even made a code sentence to say if I needed help because we had a bad feeling about this place. Now, I only stayed for six days because I emailed my teacher through the school site to contact my mom and tell her I needed help. Got banned from the computers that day but I have no regrets because if I hadn't done that I don't know the shit I could've endured. I had six bakeracts before that and witnessed some pretty wild situations at a young age because I was under a prescription cascade by my old doctor and had side effects so I'd hurt myself. Never had ill intentions towards anyone and hated altercations especially because I'm bad at social interaction. But this place? There were fights often, kids kissing each other and talking about how many people they've fucked, if your roommate was pissed at you you weren't allowed to sleep on the floor outside your room but if you cut yourself then you had to so I kinda did that- Not a proud moment but I didn't wanna piss him off more because I felt bad for calling his music taste ass Anyways, you were also cooked if you didn't have friends because of the weird voting system Dr. Moron GolfBallHeadWithGlasses made up. Mornings were weird af, the guy went "Good morning everyone " and we had to say in unison "Good morning Doctor Moran!" Like it was some sorta kids show and then the next minute it's forcing people to share their deepest traumas even if they don't wanna Outside time sucked, they made us give them our shoes which by the way I never got my shoes back from that place, those were some pretty good Nikes Dosages were tampered with though and parents weren't told. Also a lot of the reviews I saw on here about a year ago were deleted so I know they're trying to silence us. Well guess what? Not gonna let that happen! Water tasted like metal, fridge was broken and the milk had ice chunks in it, food tasted nasty, and they didn't really care for people's needs. And the strip searches are weird but I don't really blame them for that, staff probably didn't want to do that either Also even if you're not a drug addict, if you don't attend an AA meeting you'll get in trouble for not listening about the dangers of doing drugs even if you know not to anyways Also for the past year or so the location keeps saying "closed", "permanently closed", "open", "temporarily closed" ??????? Pick a side!‍ Might be good for kids who are recovering from addictions but even then it's just a really bizarre place, wouldn't recommend it but you do you if you want.

He will take your concerns seriously and provide the necessary care whether it be referrals or lab work. He was so incredibly kind and I highly recommend him. The nurses are also very sweet and personable. Additionally, I was actually called in at my scheduled appointment time which is rare for a doctor's office. No complaints here.

This facility boasted a clean and healthy environment for my friend to recover in. Well that was not the case. My friend stayed as long as he could dealing with a filthy living environment, and a bed bugs infestation. My friend had bites all over his body from these bed bugs, pics attached only to show a few. No exterminators were called to deal with this issue regardless of him reporting to them numerous sores all over his body from the bed bugs. Staff was not helpful when this was brought to their attention...nor were they caring or compassionate. Staff was not consistent at all, they had a huge turnover rate of employees which isn't helpful to a patient at all. They also boast a 12 step program, but they don't follow through with any adequate, professional, or therapeutic care. Once they get you into their program all that matters to them is billing your suffering loved ones insurance provider. Please do your loved ones a favor and find another facility that will actually treat their addiction issues with adequate and appropriate care.

I was the personal assistant to the CEO, of The Palms Recovery, family (Jim and Victoria Lopker). I…read morealso did office work for them at The Palms Recovery, but mostly for them at their family home. After 3 months I decided this wasn't the job for me and gave notice and that I would finish the day. Mind you I'm supposed to be in training, but on that particular day I'm laying laminate floor in the master bedroom of their home! We agreed I would be part time for training and once completed I would be full time. On Friday May 28th I submitted my hours and receipts for groceries I purchased for the family and the laminate floor I purchased for the families master bedroom at $1.49 square foot with my credit card. YEAP, we installed laminate flooring that cost $1.49 a square foot in a million dollar home! Total receipts and hourly pay due to me comes to $1590 that I still have not been paid for (it's now 2 weeks) After several email attempts I was sent a list of the tasks I worked on, both at the house and at The Palms Recovery and asked to explain what was done and or left off. Mind you I sent all this information as I worked on these tasks including all spreadsheets. But I answered all Victoria's questions. Then I get a reply from Victoria Lopker stating once the research my work they will submit payment! Seriously! Oh wait... there's more. When working at the home I was cleaning 2 glass pendant lights over the kitchen island. While holding the light with one hand and cleaning it with the other each of my hands had contact with metal and I got electrocuted! Obviously the lights blew. I sent an email to the family explaining what happened... no reply, never did they ask if I was ok! Obviously these lamps were not properly grounded during installation. That is the only way someone would be electrocuted if they touched the metal parts of the lamp with both hands. Victoria Lopker also stated in her last email to me that she will deduct the cost of the lamps from my pay since I "broke them" as she claims. I'll keep you all posted as to how they handle my last payment. OH by the way, there are 3 other people that work at the Lopker home, all getting paid under the table, one is an 11 year old child! I'll be curious what the DOL will have to say when I call on Monday, or DCF when I report another matter I noticed while working at the home! I'll keep you posted!
