They sharpen all sorts of blades, be they knife, scissor, chain or lawn mower, and fix not only all the things that they sell but even most of the things that don't sell. I've been using Howe's, a family owned operation since they first opened decades ago, having them repair all sorts of things from generators to chainsaws for me, and I've always been more than pleased with their friendly family type of service plus the good information they have given me concerning anything or any hardware problem I might have. They have everything from bird feeders, to rodent traps and from nuts to bolts to barbecue sets; way too many to list. This is a hardware store for which the big box hardware, such as Lowe's, shouldn't present any competition threat since the big box places can't even come close to the services provided by Howe's. I'm rating them Five Stars because as far as hardware and go services go, Howe's really is WooHoo! As good as it gets.

That was a total lie because we finally called to find out why it was taking so long and they responded that they were almost done. My husband flew up there and they charged $10.00 more saying we didn't pick him up until late. He responded " I came immediately from Jamestown to Lakewood. I didn't have an airplane to fly here !".
