Not…read moreonly does it have everything that a hardware store should have, they also do everything like a hardware store should do, but most don't. They sharpen all sorts of blades, be they knife, scissor, chain or lawn mower, and fix not only all the things that they sell but even most of the things that don't sell. I've been using Howe's, a family owned operation since they first opened decades ago, having them repair all sorts of things from generators to chainsaws for me, and I've always been more than pleased with their friendly family type of service plus the good information they have given me concerning anything or any hardware problem I might have. They have everything from bird feeders, to rodent traps and from nuts to bolts to barbecue sets; way too many to list. This is a hardware store for which the big box hardware, such as Lowe's, shouldn't present any competition threat since the big box places can't even come close to the services provided by Howe's. I'm rating them Five Stars because as far as hardware and go services go, Howe's really is WooHoo! As good as it gets.

On to the store, theres a section for pet food, gift shop, tortoises, birds, reptiles, fish, a store cat, cat for adoption, hermit crabs . If I lived out near the store, and had pets this would be my pet shop to frequent. Excellent customer service, very helpful staff that kept check in on us. She had terrible customer service and was extremely difficult to encounter during my visit. One of the owners told us we could do a full return and ended up blowing off the employees to a phone call to confirm he said that when we drove over an hour to do so. Every other employee was friendly and welcoming during our experiences at this location, but we will not be back due to the lack of communication and service of the owners, and the blonde employee we sadly had to encountered today. Very disgusting to be treated that way for over a total of $600 purchase.

My husband flew up there and they charged $10.00 more saying we didn't pick him up until late. He responded " I came immediately from Jamestown to Lakewood. I didn't have an airplane to fly here !".
