Weston Pet Shop is a good place to buy just about anything you need for your pets. I am very happy to see a pet shop in this area with such a wide variety of products. They even have Thunder shirts which is what I was looking for (really works to calm dogs afraid of thunder). The staff are knowledgeable about the products and helpful. My experience from walking into this shop was that it was a clean, healthy environment. The animals look well fed and healthy. The shelves were fully stocked with everything possible for every kind of pet; including fresh/salt water fish. My only issue would be some of the prices were a little high, but its better than driving an hour to Buffalo. . Im glad to have Weston Pet Shop in the Olean area. Karen read more

This shop is amazing the new owner is an angel and the staff is just as wonderful. They are so helpful and kind.

If I could give negative stars I would. The first thing I noticed as soon as I opened the door was the strong odor of urine and ammonia. The stench was terrible. As I was from out of town, if I had not needed what I went there to buy, I would have walked out then and there. The place was filthy. Full grown guinea pigs were housed in 10 gallon aquariums. Rabbits held in small filthy cages with little or no food. Several of them appeared very stressed as they layed on their sides breathing with their eyes half closed. Most of the birds appeared unhealthy (breathing the ammonia in the air certainly had negative effects on the respiratory systems).. The feathers of one lovebird in particular were all puffed out and it looked as though it was trying very hard not to fall off it's perch. This place should be cited for animal cruelty. read more

Have been a customer for 15+ years and would expect to be treated as such. The employees are wonderful and always take care of us. I wish I could say the same for one of the owners, Fred. We live an hour away from the shop so when a fish dies it isn't always possible to return within 48 hours for replacements. So when a couple died, we called and were told that it wouldn't be an issue to get there when we can and they would be happy to take care of us since they know us so well. Apparently Fred was in aa bad mood today because he walked away and said "im notcalling dealing with this right now, I have other customers". Other pet shops take our situation into consideration. Especially because we spend as much as we do. I am not only angry and disgusted with how we were treated today- my feelings are hurt too...and that's far worse. :-( read more
