With that in mind, we just had to pick and choose what to do with his reserved funds. At which time my husband made mention that he wanted to make sure everyone at the church that volunteers their time would be compensated because they're often overlooked. We were assured that EVERYONE would be taken care of. For the most part everything went smoothly and then I was informed some weeks later that the people who provided the luncheon weren't compensated. When I called to discuss it with them, I was told to expect a call back which was never received. I finally reached the person a week or 2 later and was told we didn't specify that they needed compensation. I advise that it was specifically mentioned in our meeting but he seemed to not believe me because he kept repeating that if i had told them to they would have paid. In the end i just basically got a "oh well, sorry" and I had to fork out another $200 so they could get paid. Also, I wasn't real happy in the flowers we bought from them. For $500 I expected a lot more

The Berthoud cemetery or Greenlawn Cemetery as it is technically called is a cute and peaceful…read morecemetery. My grandfather and step-grandmother are buried here. Steve and I wanted to see the grave site and while I knew the general vicinity of where they were buried I still could not find them. Steve dug out his Iphone and we managed to put clues together from what seemed to be a online directory even though it seemed very complicated to figure out. It took us an hour to find the site even with the help of the phone. I realize there are quite a few cemeteries out there that do not have physical directories but it would be useful if they did! I may sound depraved writing about a cemetery but it was a genuine frustration in trying to find where my grandparents were buried!
