Our baby passed away and we needed help with the cremation of his ashes. I called a few funeral homes that were recommended by the hospital and after calling all 3 we decided to go with Bohlender and I'm glad we did. I spoke to Kristin Bohlender who is the owner and she is so kind, warm and had such a comforting voice. She was very helpful with the process and helping me understand the next steps. I spoke with several staff members over the course of coordinating the ashes being sent back to me as we do not live in Colorado and everyone at Bohlender is all so nice, helpful, warm and caring. They all really care about what they do and they do it with such gentleness, professionalism, especially with such a delicate matter. I've coordinated with other funeral homes in the past when relatives of mine have passed and I think Bohlender is the best. I HIGHLY recommend them. They will take care of you, they'll do everything right, they're professional, honest and have the greatest bed side manner. I'm grateful to them for all of their help at my lowest time. I don't know how to describe it, but you can tell from their voices, that they are good humans who care and they will take care of your loved ones. Steve and I wanted to see the grave site and while I knew the general vicinity of where they were buried I still could not find them. Steve dug out his Iphone and we managed to put clues together from what seemed to be a online directory even though it seemed very complicated to figure out. It took us an hour to find the site even with the help of the phone. I realize there are quite a few cemeteries out there that do not have physical directories but it would be useful if they did! I may sound depraved writing about a cemetery but it was a genuine frustration in trying to find where my grandparents were buried!

With that in mind, we just had to pick and choose what to do with his reserved funds. At which time my husband made mention that he wanted to make sure everyone at the church that volunteers their time would be compensated because they're often overlooked. We were assured that EVERYONE would be taken care of. For the most part everything went smoothly and then I was informed some weeks later that the people who provided the luncheon weren't compensated. When I called to discuss it with them, I was told to expect a call back which was never received. I finally reached the person a week or 2 later and was told we didn't specify that they needed compensation. I advise that it was specifically mentioned in our meeting but he seemed to not believe me because he kept repeating that if i had told them to they would have paid. In the end i just basically got a "oh well, sorry" and I had to fork out another $200 so they could get paid. Also, I wasn't real happy in the flowers we bought from them. For $500 I expected a lot more
