Looked at my truck for best fit desired. Thanked him told him I would let him know when I discided which way I was going to move forward with. The next day I messaged him back on FB from his initial reach out to help. I got no response for 2 days. So I called the phone number speaking with someone to let them know I wanted to move forward with buying wheels. Explained I had FB messaged someone back in messenger. He explained he would have someone respond to the message to give options and prices. I still have heard nothing from anybody. I am now looking at tire rack and custom offsets. It would have been nice to find out what the business offered but lack of responses I guess means they don't want the business??

Estimate: $50 just to put the car on the lift, replacement tire: $250-375. Luckily, before my appointment friends suggested I go elsewhere. Glad I did. Van's was very upright and honest because frankly, being a female, I have been "fooled" into spending money I dont have. Their service was fast, friendly, and very accommodating. I did NOT need a new tire and to fix my issue was $27. That was 2 weeks ago. This week I had a similar problem...a different tire was completely flat. Friends pumped my tire enough that I was able to get to Van's and again, they patched/fixed my tire:$27. They couldn't estimate how long it would take for them to get to my vehicle and offered to take me home and pick me up when it was ready. THAT my friends is service. Now before anyone suggests otherwise...in 50 years of driving I ever had a flat tire . When I signed the papers for both my financing and insurance I opted out for roadside assistance and extended warranty to save a few $$$. Just go to Van's!

Shortly after one of the tires was losing air. Under the Tire Protection Plan I returned to Van's. I was told upon inspection a nail or screw was found and the tire was patched. The tire continued to lose air. I returned to Van's. I was told nothing was wrong with the tire and the rim was cleaned and I was sent on my way. The tire continued to lose air. I returned to Van's. This time I was told the tire valve was leaking. The valve was replaced. The tire continued to lose air. For the third time I returned to Van's extremely frustrated. I asked them to please take the tire off the rim and totally inspect the tire. I left and the tire continued to lose air. After four visits with the same tire losing air; I was beyond frustrated. I called and asked per the Tire Protection Plan for the tire to be replaced. I told Miguel that if I returned to Van's I would not leave without a new tire. He would not promise me a new tire. He wanted to inspect the tire for the fifth time and attempt to fix it. I went to Discount Tire in Parma Heights to have the tire replaced. I would encourage anyone reading this review to avoid doing business with Van's.

I was a little concerned when my local mechanic retired. It's hard to find somebody honest that…read moretreats you fairly when it comes to your car. I think just about everybody feels that way and when you can find a mechanic that you trust they're worth their weight in gold. I needed to get my car e-checked so I could renew my registration and since the engine light came on, I absolutely had to have it serviced prior to getting the E check done. So yelp recommended Lakewood Firestone tire pros and I decided to accept that recommendation. I dropped my car off and unfortunately due to a power outage. They were unable to get to it but that's just life in Lake with these days. They called me the next morning with a quote and had the card done by the end of the day. It was reasonable and about what I expected to pay and I was grateful that they got it done so quickly cause to be honest I waited a little too long to get my E check done and I was under the gun. I think I found my new mechanic in Lakewood.

They cited that their shop has been sued multiple times in the past Which makes me wonder what they have done to be sued so many times that they had to create a policy. The gentleman behind the desk and one of the mechanics suggested that I lie in the future about having done any work on my car so they are actually promoting lying and dishonest acts Which further makes me worry about and wonder about their integrity and adds Creedence to the fact that they have been sued multiple times. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else and not doing any business with this place. My father and brother were mechanics and I grew up around a garage and it is worrisome and unethical to turn down work out of fear of being sued again. There are plenty of other garages in the area. I recommend seeking out one of them.

Just be wary of other employees and do your research on part pricing. ---------------------------- Pretty bummed about my recent experiences here. I used to only deal with Gilbert, and he was amazing. Always made me feel comfortable, was very upfront about what I needed and didn't need in order to save me money. I sent everyone to this garage when they asked for recommendations. In the last year and a half or so, I've been dealing with a different younger employee. HeI've needed a lot more work done the older my car gets. I felt pressured to make unnecessary repairs in my car (even got text messages a month after telling him I couldn't afford any extra repairs, they insisted on fixing my struts). I was quoted $1200 for a recent job but had to pay $1400. That never happened with Gilbert. After that, a few days after getting my car back I had a steering issue. Felt suspicious because he had explicitly told me I might have a steering issue in the future but I had over a year before I needed to worry about it. I took the car back, and was quoted $300. I brought a knowledgeable friend with me who called him out on the repair being their fault and also on the quoted price being outrageous. We found the part for $30. My friend repaired it in a half hour. I miss Gilbert and have lost faith in this shop. Unfortunately don't think I'll be returning.
