It took several days to get the part in and once it was installed I was handed a bill for $2000. I was told that $500 of that bill was to return the old part to the manufacturer. Upon investigating I found out that the manufacturer covers the cost of returning defective parts under warrantee and this repair should have been around $500 to $600. I requested an itemized bill from them and was told that they don't do that and was ignored when I made further inquiries. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Yeah Sheldon! You are as good as it gets! Thanks for coming to our rescue on one of the coldest…read moredays of the season! We woke up to no heat, made the call to Handy Brothers and within the next half hour at the least Sheldon arrived to face repairs to a twenty odd year old furnace. Within the next hour, he diagnosed and explained the problem, got the heat running, knowledgeably and efficiently answered all our questions, helped us ( through a low-pressure conversation) choose the best replacement furnace for our home and while waiting to be sure the furnace was going to run efficiently, he put a new switch on the fireplace. Great technician and fantastic service from the phone call to this posting. (They have already called to make arrangements to come measure for the new low energy, high efficiency furnace unit). In all the years we have called on Handy Brothers for their knowledge, expertise, maintenance and purchasing we have never been disappointed. Highly recommend Sheldon for his personable approach, level of knowledge and obvious skill since we are warm as toast now!

What in the Hell are you on about!?" Apparently he wanted to know if he should go with his Red chaps, or the black ones... I said, "Rondo my man...Please do not wear chaps.." So he gets there, not in chaps, and he starts lugging the old water heater up the stairs. I try to help him, and he just grunts, and starts going on about Vietnam and how the 60's had the best music.... He gets to the top of the stairwell, just sweating like a wildebeest. He fiddles with his cell phone for a bit, then starts blaring Twisted Sister. He violently rips off his mustard stained tshirt, then starts pulling the water heater out the door. I swear it was in slow motion... At that point I left the house and took a 3 hour drive just to get out the there. He was gone by the time I left. I think he stole my cat.

Yeah, I heard him singing some Aerosmith song in the shower and I opened the bathroom door and ole Ron was as naked as a jaybird. I was like, "Ron, what are you doing?" and he just calmly said he was fixing the showerhead. I thought that was weird but then thought that maybe all plumbers do that? Is that a thing they do? So then he finishes the job and he's got a large cup of Timmy's in one hand and a wrench in the other hand. I've got the money for him in cash and it was awkward since I didn't know where to put it. So he just turned around and I put the cash in the top of his butt crack. I still feel weird about that.
