First, communication was excellent and he was really easy to get in touch with and very responsive via email and text. He was very prompt and kept me in the loop on key decisions. Second, his rate was extremely competitive. Third, and most important, he did a great job. The door was well installed and looks great, even though there were some tricky angles for him to work with. He was also very considerate in keeping dust and particles to a minimum, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommended, and will gladly work with him again.

Customers and contractors beware!! We hired Prestige Craftsmanship on approximately July 24, 2018…read moreto remodel our master bathroom with a customized shower and walk in closet for $10,500. We were to provide the main bathroom furniture and finishing materials like tiles, toilet, sink, lights, etc. And Prestige Craftsmanship was to provide all labor and the working materials. The work was estimated to be 2 weeks, however, after about 2 months Prestige Craftsmanship had walked away from the job, incomplete and a mess. Prior to beginning the demolition, the bedroom furniture was not covered, so the entire room and furniture are completely covered with drywall, concrete and fiberglass dust. Eric Headley (the owner of Prestige Craftsmanship) promised to have the room cleaned along with an area of the carpet replaced that was damaged by him from foam insulation. The shower has to be completely redone due to "substandard materials and poor craftsmanship" according to the tile expert we brought in after noticing many areas of concern. The $1400 sink that we purchased has been damaged due to the poor attempt that Mr. Headley made to cut holes for the plumbing, which we specifically asked him not to do. The drywall and doors in both the bathroom and closet remained unfinished and unpainted. The floor in the closet is damaged and sticking up near the entry creating a safety hazard. Both baseboard heaters were removed and never put back. During this whole ordeal, we remained patient and tried to be understanding. We were even asked to pay, and did pay, an extra $1000 that wasn't due until the work was complete. However, according to him, he needed to pay the plumber he hired. Who he did not even wind up paying. Friday, October 5th was the last day he worked. That next Monday, October 8th he text that he would not be in due to time running out and hurting his back. By Tuesday, October 9th, he responded to our text inquiring when he would be back to finish in which he responded that he would not be back because he took another job and wouldn't have the time.

Asked for time and materials to install a ceiling fixture and a duplex outlet. Agreed. Electrical connections fine, but ill-equipped to hang the fixture; had no helper. Thought it appropriate to charge just under $3000 to run a five foot wire from an existing duplex outlet to the new one and an eight foot wire to install the ceiling fixture. You read that right- $3000- The bill included $436 to replace a 9" piece of 1 1/2" PVC drainpipe he mistakenly cut in the process and $257 for four decora items and a Lutron switch for the fixture-readily available at Home Depot at total cost of $88. When the discrepancy pointed out, Tony stated "that's what I have to charge." Sorry, no, not at $165/hr. Committed to a return date to complete other work. Did not show. Caveat emptor: If you feel compelled to hire Tony-he talks a good game-get a firm estimate-Tony's time and materials cost was twice the written bid price of two other reputable sources-and get a firm appointment time; better yet, do yourself a favor-find a different electrician!

From the initial reasonable estimate to the final renovation, José and his team were exceptional throughout the entire process. My mom's condo already had an original bathroom and laundry area from the 1960s. Then, a serious leak from above required extensive repairs to the ceiling, walls and electrical, as well as new flooring and fixtures. Jose and his crew did it all! They were always on time and respectful of my 90-year-old mom and her property. Their work was impeccable, down to every detail. Jose was so kind and patient with my mom, he really made her feel at ease. And now she has a bright, BEAUTIFUL new bathroom and laundry room!! We would definitely use OTERO REMODELING SERVICES again and we highly recommend him to all our friends and family! Thank you so much!

Everyone will be sick of me after all my posts about this company because I have a lot of work in…read moremy house that needs to be done. Aside from my shutters and door ( which was a preference, not something that needed to be done, but I LOVE it) I have him come back to fix a piece of my garage that was rotten. We discussed a few options. One being an aluminum frame. After pricing the job out, Dubs decided to replace the wood and not use aluminum because of price, so with the customer in mind, he chose to not use the aluminum because the material price has skyrocket like everything else. In my mind, what does he care, I would be paying for it but no, He chose to save me money!!!! So awesome. He told me he would do the primer and then paint after it had dried, which I was just thinking, primer one day, then come back and paint. When I came home last night, it looked like I had pulled into the wrong driveway, the update was PERFECT. I thought , wow, how did he get that done so fast?!! When I spoke to him today, he said he was able to prime and get one light coat of paint on. I told him it looked perfect and could actually leave as is. He insisted he was going to do another coat. So , while I knew prior to this second job at my house, this job really confirms the pride he takes in his work. It's sad that I am shocked to find someone that takes pride in their work but WOW!!!! I feel like when he's done with my house, it's going to look brand new. Also another thing that I was highly impressed with is that he asked me of I minded if he had helped someone else with a project while he was still doing mine. Of course I do not mind at all, this guy deserves to make money when it's available. And in no way has him helping someone else impacted what he was doing for me. Dubs knows exactly what he is doing, and his time management skills ( which I don't think I mentioned in my first review) are spot on ( not usual for a man, haha, joking!!) If you hire him, you will not be disappointed and I'm almost positive you will be rushing to give him a 5 star review as well as recommendations to friends and family. You will of found "your guy" . Also, he's young, so he's not going anywhere, still has all the energy to complete big or small jobs. Next to the work being done as expected the fact that he's on time and actually shows up on the days he says he is, is so, so, so helpful.

In the beginning of this year my mother's home endured strong winds and heavy rain. The roof was…read moreseverely damaged. In the interim, we had a tarp installed to mitigate any interior water damage. While it did hold up for a few months, we needed a replacement ASAP. One night it rained really hard and rain poured in. There was no way to use buckets due to the nature of the leaks. We sent out an emergency request through Yelp to have another tarp put on. Most companies either could not help or did not respond. However, Dennis from Sullivans Bottom Up Construction Company did. Dennis asked us a few basic questions to get an idea of what type of work he would be doing. He was polite and professional. He said based on his schedule he could come out in the next few days and have it done. Sure enough he kept his word. Dennis and his team came out and did a terrific job. Of course, a tarp is a temporary solution to a much bigger problem. My mother has been waiting at least six months for her insurance company to pay out her claim so she could get a new roof, but they were stalling. After some time had passed, we received more heavy rain and winds. The tarp was just not enough and we needed a new roof urgently. At this point we knew the insurance company was not going to come though and that we were going to have to foot the bill ourselves, which we did. And we were back in another emergency situation. If the roof did not get done in time before it rained again, even more interior damage would have occurred. We reached out to Sullivans Bottom Up Construction Company again. And again, they came through for us. Dennis provided me with the closest availability his schedule would allow for. His team was on the job the day he said they would be. I would really like to emphasize something here. Half of the companies we requested estimates or repairs from in the past either made an excuse of why they could not come (even though we were on their schedule) or just did not get back to us. Dennis made us feel like our problem mattered to him. And then showed it by coming out to my mother's home like he had promised. Dennis and his team did really good work. The new roof looks incredible. They were very meticulous with clean up as well ensuring all debris and trash were picked up. This company is very reasonably priced too. This is everything we needed. You may see this same review posted elsewhere. This is because I feel it is important that anyone considering Sullivans Bottom Up Construction see how good they really are.
