Always enjoyed coming to War Room Games, although it's been a while. Great selection across a lot of hobbies, staff are extremely friendly and clearly fans of what they do, which shows. All hobbies are pricey in this range but they are pretty competitive with the prices and I always like to support the local stores if I have a chance. They do make it easy by pricing reasonably though, which I appreciate. Their tables are fantastic and set up well, very generous with the time you can get there too. We were in Vegas overnight as part of a road trip and decided to visit here to kill some time. They had a great game selection, but an even better selection for table top world building. We came in with two kids and the staff were really nice to mildly rambunctious littles who had been crammed in a car all day. But they did have a family game section and a toy section my kids enjoyed looking through. It's definitely a place worth visiting! read more

Great selections, clean store, good general player base and staff, unfortunately one of the direct (1/3) owners supports Trump to the point of only allowing pro-Trump or no political discussion, polite or not, on premises- I received a lifetime ban for politely asking and adding that I was deciding where to spend my money, as someone supporting my and loved ones rights being taken away is not somewhere I'll shop. Genuinely a shame, I've been a customer for over a decade, I've run events and would otherwise recommend anyone go- unfortunately if you're LGBTQ or not into Trump, I cant recommend it anymore. EDIT NEXT DAY further info: to be specific since a second owner reached out for context- I personally have had an event organizer as well as a player say directly harmful, objectively untrue alt-right insults and slurs to my face about me and my loved ones. I have had that event organizer ban me from a game league and local chat for pointing out his -objectively and excessively- sexist or problematic behavior- I politely greeted most of the players around the store since it had been a while, honestly due to this sort of behavior before- I selected some purchases ~$130 and approached the employee in charge. I asked directly for my personal friends and acquantances, Ray Prado and his co-owner, and politely told him after being asked how he could help that I would like to know if the store itself offically, or either owner publically in their role as owner, endorsed Trump in his actions specifically towards the LGBTQ community- myself and my loved ones are losing our human and basic rights as citizens directly due to these policies- and touched lightly on the multiple severely negative experiences I had personally had or witnessed- mentioning that while I was able and excited to step up as a game organizer again to take over for a mutual friend who'd lost his job, I needed to know that my friends and local store owners weren't supporting these actions that are directly harming me, and honestly would have my back if I directly called out the people and actions in the store that are -objectively- untrue and harmful- "all women are objectively weaker and dumber than men and can't win at any sport against them" was a direct quote from a player still allowed at the store. I didn't speak directly about these previois experiences and dont recall naming any specific names, games,or quotes and tried my absolute best and was, as far as I'm aware, polite, relatively discrete other than "yeah I'm a queer gamer too just checking in you've had issues like that too here?" And nonconfrontational- I simply wanted the current official answers available to me as a citizen and patron of the store. If Ray had been there I'd happily have discussed it with him as we've openly, casually, and generally productively debated and talked about these things before. As it was, after answers of "we don't really talk politics while in the store but as far as I know no we dont support illegal stuff and yeah we don't allow bigotry in the store, if you point it out we've got your back" (rough summary, I don't recall their exact words) I happily made my purchase and left. Roughly 5-10 minutes later on my drive home the War Room Games phone number called me, I answered happily and politely to Ray, asking me to confirm my actions. I did, absolutely expecting questions and dealing with my problems, as uncomfortable as it might be- I was then yelled at that I was disrespectful and impolite and that my official answer was "I'm not welcome back", I thanked him for the answer, denied to converse further given his volume, tone, and clear attitude towards the problem, and ended the call wishing him a good evening. I genuinely would love if anyone from the store including Ray would reach out to me officially about this sudden apparent lifetime ban I've acquired for again, asking if the store as a public figure directly endorsed the objectively unconstitutional and personally harmful actions, as I have a right to- and if the store and people that owned it and worked it would help me deal with objectively problematic behavior and bad actors. Again, a 2nd owner did reach out semi-officially, one I hadn't met personally before. I've assured him to the best of my ability that I hold no malice or even real upset towards War Room Games or Ray himself, and would be happy to discuss what could be done to resolve the issue at hand and try and rebuild communities, but otherwise no real offical reply. Otherwise hey, it is Ray's store and he's welcome not to have me there. Oh well! read more

My bf is a real geek for gaming and has introduced me to a lot of different games I would never have even thought of. He and a group of his friends come here on Thursday nights to play Warmachine (Hordes). I never saw the old location (a few doors down) but my boyfriend says this new one is much bigger, with more room to play. I thought the location was really nice. I loved the front sales area and the back gaming portion. The tables and chairs are actually really comfortable for the collapsible kind and I enjoyed watching the nerds, nerd out. The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable. They could totally tell I was there for "support" and they answered any questions I had and made me feel pretty welcome. It's very clean and organized in here and the pricing seems pretty reasonable. I actually ended up buying something and again, the staff here is great. I also saw there was a food truck at the back. So if I could give this place a 2.5 instead of a two I would just because I feel like that's more fair but here we go.  Pros:  1. This place has a huge selection whether it be board games, trading card games, and its main thing Warhammer.  2. It has a huge space and there's plenty of tables for anything.  3. The location is pretty much Central Las Vegas. You know even if you're in town for just a short moment, you can hop from the airports over here so that's cool.  Cons:  So there's really only one con but it's a big one and it's customer service. Now I noticed the person that was working interacting with regulars that they're a much more friendlier terms. But as a new customer I felt like I wasn't really welcomed. ( And I think this is one of the major anxieties for new customers coming into hobby stores. Its them not feeling welcome by the community) The worker seemed more standoffish with me. I was there just to buy some trading cards and when I put an order in I stood around for 10 minutes not knowing if someone was getting my order or not. The worker didn't inform me at all of what was happening so I didn't know what to do and at a certain point I just felt like I should just leave. read more

My favorite gaming store in Vegas. The first time I visited after buying my 40k army everyone was super helpful and answered all my questions, confirmed or explained stuff I had seen online, and even consulted each other to make sure I had the best experience getting my army put together. New system that I'm required to use just to ask for a couple booster packs directly behind the counter is insane. The computer takes forever to load and doesn't really let you scroll down. Then you have to put in your name and email that now shows up on the computer any time anyone else types on it. The boosters are literally right there. Why is this necessary ?? read more

War Room games is the best tabletop wargame shop in the area, hands down. Their warhammer inventory is almost always up to date. The rewards program is pretty neat. Support your local hobby store! The selection here is amazing! My family and I went in to take a look and spent the next 90 minutes reading through box descriptions and reviews online. They've got classic games, new arrivals and everything in between, all organized and grouped together for easier browsing. But definitely do your research; some of these games have a significant markup compared to what you can find online while others are actually cheaper than leading retailers like Amazon. In the end, we purchased two board games -- one cheaper and one more expensive than what was offered online, but since we wish to see more independently owned board game shops, we considered the extra markup our donation to the cause :) We'll definitely be visiting their fine establishment again in the future. read more

This is one of the best game stores my sons and I have visited. Fantastic and varied selection. We spent about an hour browsing. This shop is small and specialized, but super friendly and helpful. My guy and I were looking for a shop near us that had the D&d players handbook. I think that what other stores lacked was the personal touch. We are not hardcore players by any means, so a friendly face is so important to us. This shop is approachable even for players who don't really know what they're doing. It's harder to find, though. It's on the backside of some other shops (the sportco shop I believe) so it took some driving around. This is at no fault of the shop itself, so I hope they're getting a good deal on that space. read more

Great store with extremely friendly staff. I just moved here and was looking to find a new place to play 40k and pick up models, paints, etc and Adam was extremely helpful. He let me know what days people play and helped introduce me to the other regulars. The first night I went he let me know about the weekly campaign they were doing and hopped right in. There were plenty of people rolling dice, awesome tables/terrain, and some great painted armies. There was even a big charity game of X wing going on helping support wounded vets so huge props for supporting giving back to the community! They have a great selection of all types on miniatures based games, fully stocked GW paints and brushes, and even game mats so I'll be able to grab everything my hobby addiction needs here. I recently visited Vegas, and stopped in to this shop just to check out a gaming shop outside of Los Angeles. Lo and behold, they have a lot of the same faire as LA gaming shops, for comparable prices. There are your standard things like dice, and minis, as well as a selection of Warmachine sets, and other board games. The shop is really nice, in a homey feeling, slightly cluttered kind of way. What really sets it apart from a lot of the gaming shops I visit (and I try to visit a lot of them) is the owner. I'm awful with names, but I think he was called Ray. He immediately approached us when we entered, and began talking to us about the shop, and business...really welcoming attitude in an industry where most game store employees look down on people they aren't familiar with. The cool thing about this guy is that he was actively selling me his product, but doing so in a way that didn't seem pushy: he just really believes in what he has to offer, and his passion comes through when he talks about it. He mentioned that the shop was cluttered because he was going through a new shipment, and then talked about the brand new games that he was unpacking, and how excited he was for them...just a really passionate dude, putting his love out into the world. Of the few hobby shops I visited in Vegas, this one was definitely the most welcoming, and if I were a local I would frequent this place, and probably do some gaming here, too.
