Lovely experience and beyond expectations! Will definitely revisit!…read more I was browsing for a quick weekend trip idea and discovered Zion glamping adventures. Upon booking, the staffs were quick to respond to my questions and instructions were clear for check in. The location was easy to find and it's next to a popular trail nearby. Our hosts, Josie and Bubba were very warm and welcoming. Josie gave us a quick tour and show us our tent, which was all nice, cooled and ready for our arrival. They offered dinner and s'mores by the campfire under the stars by the time we are settled with our gears. All the cooking and eating utensils were provided, a huge plus when it comes to packing light for "camping". They even offered all kids on the campsite a glow stick or glowing flower crown and that really made the night for the kiddos. Showers and restrooms are well kept and clean (depends on if you have nice campmates during your stay), therefore, please make sure to be considerate of others and clean up after yourselves :). Regardless, the staffs really tried their best and return to its' original state by morning time. We woke up refreshed and next thing I know breakfast was served! The team really made glamping effortless and affordable.

WARNING: Do Not Be Misled - Avoid Zion View Camping in Hildale, Utah at All Costs…read more I feel obligated to share this review to protect other travelers from making the same regrettable mistake I did. Zion View Camping is a dangerously misrepresented and poorly managed location that should be avoided by anyone who values safety, cleanliness, and basic decency. #1 - Misleading Name Despite the name, this site is not near Zion National Park. It is a full hour away by car. This alone is deeply misleading and deceptive advertising. #2 - Dangerous Access Road The road leading to the campground is an unmaintained sand and dirt track. Worse still, it requires crossing a river - something most standard vehicles and travelers are unprepared for. It's unsafe and completely unacceptable. #3 - No On-Site Staff or Guidance There was no one at the location to greet us or assist with check-in. We received vague instructions via text and found several other confused guests wandering the grounds, unsure of where to go or what to do. #4 - Neglected Grounds and Unhygienic Conditions The entire area appears abandoned and unkept. A large, broken-down RV sits like a haunted monument in the middle of the grounds - eerie, depressing, and a clear indication of neglect. We stayed in a "wagon" where the bedding was dirty and the floor was filthy. #5 - Nothing Worked The lights, the heater, the barbecue - all of it was broken, rusted, or too old to be functional. Everything felt like a thrift store discard, and nothing was clean or safe to use. #6 - Serious Fire and Carbon Monoxide Hazards The outdated propane heaters pose a severe fire risk, especially with high winds and embers flying from nearby fires. There are no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors. This is an extremely dangerous situation. Guests are literally gambling with their lives. #7 - No Heat, No Help, and No Safety After trying multiple heaters that failed to work, a young, untrained staff member finally showed up but was also unable to fix the issue. We were freezing cold, exhausted, and entirely disillusioned with the integrity of the operation. We packed up and booked a hotel in St. George that same night. We feared for our safety. #8 - Traumatizing Shower Conditions After hiking all day, we were desperate for a hot shower. What we found was horrifying: shared facilities that were dirty, decrepit, and traumatic. The towels provided were old, stained, and smelled terrible. I honestly believe a prison shower would have been a step up. #9 - Safety Hazards at Every Turn Even the most basic safety elements are neglected. The solar lights (cheap Home Depot models) installed to illuminate the steps do not function. Walking around in the dark was dangerous and yet another sign of the owner's disregard for guest safety. #10 - A Deceptive, Unsafe, and Disturbing Location This is not a tranquil camping experience. It is located in a rundown area beside a goat pen, where the noise and odor are constant. The surrounding neighborhood is deeply unsettling, rumored to be home to polygamous sects long in conflict with the law. The overall vibe is not just uncomfortable - it's unsafe. To make matters worse, the owner, Charles, offered me a refund on the condition that I would not post a negative review. That tells you everything you need to know about his character and the dishonesty behind this business. Conclusion: Zion View Camping is a dangerous, filthy, and misleading scam. It is not worth your money - and certainly not worth risking your life over. There are far better, safer, and more honest accommodations much closer to Zion National Park. Save yourself the regret, discomfort, and danger. Avoid this scam!

Pros I side the campground walking distance to the little town get the bus to Zion park or rent e-bikes to get around. No cars allowed to the Narrows. This was my first time staying on-site of a National Park, and I fear it has spoiled me. No lines to enter the park, no excuses to dilly-dally, just straight to nature. Made reservations online, was able to switch to a different site that opened up very conveniently online if you are on the fence about sites. They have a refund/cancellation policy, but you'd have to check their website for details. Checked in around 11:45am, and lady at the booth asked if next I could wait until check-in of 12pm (ok??). When I walked by the booth later to ask questions, the booth was closed and it was self check-in. Maps available in the covered vestibule. Heated bathrooms were nice, restrooms themselves were decently clean. Stall trash cans for feminine products wasn't overflowing. Outdoor sink for pots/pans (bring your own detergent); someone had left a sponge, which was nice. Bought firewood + starter @ Walmart in prep, and made a nice fire one evening. I did shower at Zion Outfitters twice ($4 per 5 minutes), which is walking distance to the campground (~10 min depending what site). Same walking distance to Zion Canyon Brew Pub, and a ~30 min scenic walk to Springdale.

They do clean them every morning, but it doesn't stay clean by evening. Too many people. It's very crowded, lots of people everywhere and waiting for everything. Has the theme park experience. The shuttle is constantly running into the park from the campground. We had to wait for an hour each way on a Friday for it. There's no other way up unless you are staying at the hotel. Parking is limited and the shuttle is pretty much mandatory. A ton of locals came in that day randomly and it was super packed. The rest of our stay we only had to wait 5 mins for the shuttle. You have to buy coins for the shower either at the showers or at the local sports shop, it's walking distance from the campground. The showers are not at the campground, but next to the sports shop. They closed early one day and the machine at the showers was broken so we couldn't buy coins. We were hot, sweaty and covered in sunscreen so it was pretty miserable to skip a shower. We planned ahead the rest of the trip and didn't have to buy coins last minute. Showers get busy and there is a wait.

Not sure if that was the best way or not. The parking lot is not huge, and you can't park in the designated camping area spots. There are plenty of picnic tables, probably more than parking spaces. There are at least 20 tables there. There are a few trails to choose from. Very close the parking and campsites is a short 1/4 hike (or shorter) to the dinosaur prints. There is a hike in the other direction to the mini waterfall and pond. Probably about a mile or a little over a mile (1direction). We also found an old almost petrified bristlecone tree (that was neat). We got lucky with the weather for Dec, it was probably about 60 degrees and very nice. I saw that in the summer it can be over 110 so I am glad that we got the nice weather. The red /orange scenery is spectacular and representative of the area, like it is at zion, bryce, snow canyon, pioneer park, etc. We enjoyed a picnic lunch there, and we had a blue bird, a scrub jay, come join us and beg for food. Just wait until you check in to see their list of rules. The office staff was extremely rude, not inviting or happy to see you. Pool was murky, even closed one day to "shock" it so we couldn't even use it. Had to drive to the resort next door and use theirs, (which was a lot cleaner and the staff was super friendly). Dog leashes can't be longer than 6 feet, who even has rules like that? Sprinklers come on at night and they don't bother to tell you that so your stuff ends up getting soaked. We lost a pin to our tow hitch, we think it dropped when we unhooked in the unhooking area, hoping someone might have turned it in we went to the front desk to ask, Lynn at the front desk was super rude and didn't even get out of her chair to even look to see if it was turned in, just said "No, no one turned it in" she didn't ask any of her coworkers or look around, she was visibly upset like we were wasting her time while she was sitting at the front desk. Next time we come to Zion we will be staying somewhere else.
