I've been to Jones Family Farms once to poke around and see what they have to offer. However, this…read moretime I was in need of vegetables for a garden I'm growing this summer and Jones Family Farms blew me away. I browsed through all of their condiments, ice creams, and fruits & vegetables, which they had some pretty unique items that piqued my interest. But their wide selection of vegetables and herbs for planting in your garden gave me endless possibilities of things to plant. With so many rows of outdoor plants and garden selections I think you'll definitely find what you're looking for. Jones Family Farms has a good variety of tomatoes and peppers as well as different variations of your traditional herbs. I was able to grab some amethyst basil, which is a beautiful shade of darkish black, purple. They also had a vast number of lettuces to choose from to grow a healthy salad in your garden. All of Jones' items seem to be reasonably priced, given the quality of their plants and what you would pay at some other big-name stores like Home Depot or Loews. I couldn't stop myself from picking up little pots of garden staples but eventually told myself enough for now. Whether you're a newbie to gardening or an avid gardener, I think Jones Family Farms is a great spot to gather your planting necessities. And of course, they have you covered with all of the beautiful flowers to make your yard amazing.

We finally made it a priority destination two weeks ago, only to discover that they are closed on Thursdays. We made a triumphant return this past week, and after decades of wondering what it was like inside, we made it into the store! Wow, it smells so good in there. Truthfully, I was a bit surprised by how small the shop is, but I haven't been in many butcher shops. The selection of wursts and other meats were baffling to me. We were given a piece of paper, like a menu, that told us what each sausage was, ingredients used, and how it should taste. I ended up with a pound of BAUERNWURST (SMOKED, WITH MUSTARD SEEDS). Oddly, enough, my boyfriend and I also went to the German Christmas Village in downtown Baltimore and they were serving the same kind of wurst at their grilled meat stand. I thought that the ones we cooked at home were better. We paired it with German potato salad for dinner. It was delicious and satisfying. My mother also bought a pound of the same sausage, but now refuses to eat it because she says that it contains beef. There's no sensible reason for her not to eat beef. She just does it to be contrary. She's certainly missing out on a taste sensation. I asked her if I could have her pound, but she refused. She's complex. She also got some BREAKFAST SAUSAGE (NUERNBERGER STYLE W/SWEET MARJORAM AND SAGE) which she absolutely loved. I would really like to try other sausages from this shop, and the low cost makes that very much possible. Would recommend
