It's Berkots now so rip... First time visiting after the name change I had some bread that wouldn't ring up. After about 5 minutes a manager comes over without scanning or anything and says $4. I know for a fact it said $2 when I grabbed it or else I wouldn't even have picked it up. I said that's not right so the manager leaves for another 5 minutes. Now there's a line of people behind me so I say just forget it. As I finished up and I'm already paid the manager comes back and says it's $2... 10 minutes to figure that out? Someone should get the Board of Health in this store to inspect it. It wouldn't take very long before they find numerous violations including outdated products on shelves moldy products on shelves lack of cleanliness in the store and plays that don't take proper safeguards to protect customers against their germs and bacteria. This is the problem with some of these small town stores, they are run by people that just don't care. Get the county Board of Health out there. Maybe they'll take some fines seriously at Walt's. read more

It's an okay grocery store. You've got to examine the food you buy and check the expiration dates. They have a decent variety of items. Walt's is more expensive than places nearby. read more

Some of the store workers aren't taking the mandatory mask order seriously. Several times the workers in the butcher area window were cutting product without any face covering. Sorry but it's not fair to put the health and well being of your customers in jeopardy because you don't feel like keeping others safe. Anyone who is nervous about possibly catching the virus should avoid this store all together. read more

This was a nice grocery store, and very typical of Walt's. They have a meat section, a small bakery, and all the usual items you'd need. Nice clean store with enough employees to keep everything stocked and fresh, so we thought it a nice experience. There isn't much competition out here in Beecher, so Walt's pretty much has the market to themselves...but they do a nice job as the Big Dog in the area. Since they are the main grocery store, they also stock a lot of sundry items that you might not be able to easily get elsewhere. Liked this place a lot. Next time we are out, we will return. read more

This store should be closed, one of the workers never wears deodorant and smells so bad. I seen him pick his nose and put it on someone's groceries. I reported this to someone few weeks ago and it's still the same. I will never come back to this location. If I could give this place zero stars I would! read more

@12:34 I checked out so about 15 or 20 minutes before this I was in the produce aisle no heads of lettuce .Then a family was visiting an employee I believe it was a manager in meat or something the boy was wearing was baseball pj's they were in the way I was in the electric scooter because of being disabled I had to go around they then were standing by the chicken and again were in the way and again I went around and didn't buy the chicken that I needed. I then went down the veg or coffee aisle and a what looked like a manager I believe his name is Mark he had a large cart with root beer and other soda on it now this is not the soda aisle, and why was it left there? I asked the manager to please move it and he ignored me and walked away to speak to another employee where he left it I couldn't get thru the aisle so I had to get up and move it myself while doing this I almost fell backwards I turned around and he was looking at me. I cont. doing my shopping I had forgot something and came back to the coffee or veg aisle and I once again came across this manger with no name tag and again spoke to him and I spoke to him and said thank for moving that cart because I had to move it I almost fell and he stated back oh well like he didn't care. This is not the first time he has been rude to me. I feel he should be let go and fired from Walt's Penny P. no stars is my choice read more

Definitely one of their poorer locations. The produce selection is horrible. The meat section is not great. Liquor prices are outrageous. Make sure you watch the expiration dates on their dairy products. I've seen many expired products still on the shelves. The only positive is generally you don't have to wait long to check out. Unfortunately with no other grocery store in town you are stuck going here for last minute needs. Try to plan ahead and go to other grocery stores when you are traveling out of town. read more

The other day got some half off donuts hole. They must of been fry in oil that was used for fish. As they had a fish taste to them

I cant give a negative review but this place would be the one the produce is disgusting, the meat is rancid, the dates on dairy are expiring that day or the next and I have bought several items where the date said still good but was bad 100% terrible this business is allowed to continue. read more

This is the only grocery store within 20-40 minutes from my house. I run in often because it's not always convenient to drive to Indiana when I only need milk or bread. I have to say, the hours are incredibly inconvenient. They close at 9pm on weekdays and 6pm on Sundays. I guess it's nice for their employees but they lose a lot of my business with those hours. It's a small store so their selections are often limited. I was here yesterday and most of their meat was grey/brown, and 90% of their onions and potatoes were soft or moldy. So gross. I seriously had to run out of town anyway because I couldn't find a yellow onion without a huge soft, black spot! read more

The flies are all over the bakery goods!! The girl behind the counter went to pull out a tray to remove the fly and 20 flies moved on other trays... It was disgusting! I told her I don't want anything from there. The flies were all over at the checkout lanes. The store has a problem and no one seems to be concerned. Yuck! read more

I drive through Crete/Beecher a few times a month and normally stop at Crete location. That location is FANTASTIC. Friendly ,helpful people with smiles. This location in Beecher is the opposite. Nasty rude people in the bakery/deli area. I waited behind other disgruntled customers that told me to go elsewhere. When they decided it was my "turn" the greeting was: "what do you want?". When I asked for help finding a product she told me " keep looking,you'll find it". The only nice person was the kid bagging the groceries. Like the people there ,in line,told me...go elsewhere. read more

This grocery store is always clean, their meat and deli is excellent. They carry gluten free foods and lactose free products. For the size of this store , they have quite a bit of selection. As a Beecher resident, I am smart enough to keep my dollars local. As for their hours, to me that only adds to their appeal that they are a family first type of company. read more
