Well it has been a while since I went to this place for parts. And it will be a long time before I…read morereturn or even think I'd return I knew things had changed, since I learned the organization was bought out be middle eastern people, and let's say things have really changed I first noticed they want a deposit on taking a wheelbarrow out into the yard, yeah I know you pay $20 and get it back when you return it, but still Second the big signs say" 90 day warranty " sounds good right?, no it is something you have to add to the quoted cost to get, I asked the guy at the desk " you mean if I don't pay extra and this part is "junk" it's my junk and no return? Answer "yes" This added cost plus environmental fee and fees on the fee added about $30 to the price So let's see, I go to "Lucky's " and pay $50 for the same part I get $10 back and a 31 day warranty I buy the same part at LKQ and pay $89 I get the unit and $10 back for core fee but I now paid extra just to be able to return it if it's crap Well I guess I did the right thing bought it at $89 and installed it only to have yo remove it and take it back due to it being "junk" , yup I got my money back and went to "Lucky's " and wrenched the part for about half that price Guess what that "Lucky's " part worked perfectly and I still got a month warranty with a lot more money in my pocket Kinda sad LKQ just won't do

I had dealt with CarMax back in Southern California when I sold my car. I had pretty much same (but…read morequicker) experience at this location. As a reference, I came here to sell my car. + Trevor touched based with me on the phone on the day of my appointment. + Christy helped me and it took her maybe 10 mins or so to move my car, get the paperwork, then another 5 mins or so to scan the signed paperwork etc. + In 15-20 minutes, I had the check in my hand and waiting for a Lyft. + They consistently offered more money (~$3k more) than other rivals (Caravana, etc.) Make sure to check with them on pricing even if you don't plan on selling your car here. Doesn't cost you to get a quote with them. + They called Lyft for me (60 miles radius) free of charge. + Streamlined process. Uploaded all documents online the night before and had no issues with the website/form. - I live 2 hours from the closest CarMax location (this one). I wish they had another location closest to Detroit area (let's say). I had to catch another Lyft from mid-point to my home, but it wasn't that bad.

We just bought a car from carmax. I was very hesitant and scared but everything went very smoothly…read more After submitting the online paperwork, the entire experience probably took 45minutes. There was no pressure. Our sales rep was Diamond. If you dislike dealerships I recommend going this route. We had zero issues with carmax in Grand Rapids and the car is running just fine. I would buy from them again and request Diamond.
