If you're more into Korean food, Arisoo is a restaurant towards the back that I was also able. My favorite though is the cold taho at one of the Japanese groceries here, I forget the name. It's basically cold taho with toppings of your choice, for around fifty pesos for a big bowl. It's my secret pick me up. Don't tell anyone, okay?

What I have seen are stores selling clothing - mostly overruns or surpluses of major brands, stores selling shoes, stores selling appliances, and stores selling miscellaneous items like mason jars and the like. You also have, of course, the pet center, and the SM supermarket. The best part, I think, are the foreign groceries where you can get Japanese or Korean ingredients dirt-cheap.

When I moved to Makati and found out that the closest mall was Cash and Carry, I was a bit disappointed. It was tiny, barely a mall really, with the supermarket taking up more than half of the entire first floor, and it was always filled with families as it was situated in a very residential neighborhood. I gave it a chance though, and ended up falling in love with it after a few visits, especially when I discovered its cinemas. Seriously, this place has the most comfortable seats in any cinema I've ever been to - it's like sitting in a Barcalounger stuffed with angels' feathers. The cinema is also never full, even during blockbuster screenings, which is good since I hate people.

The dish was non appetizing and had a bland taste. Problem here is that the food here lacks freshness, flavor and taste.

I just cannot decide where to look at. All products catch my attention. It's crazy. I'll give you a short list of what I already bought there, so you can feel the vibe: a Hello Kitty towel as a monito monita gift; a beautiful tea pot; maternity clothes; comfortable shoes; baby onesies; underwear; step ladders to reach high shelves; cute notebooks; toiletries; Instax instant film; scarfs; bags; a wallet; table linens and much more items. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the grocery. It's cheaper than Rustan's and even SM and you can find great variety. TIP: They sell Santis's meats and cold cuts at Landmark! So, when the time came to go to the Philippines (I married a Filipino-Chinese girl and her family is still in the Philippines), I didn't know what kind of trip I was in for. My wife's sister let us stay at her condo, which just so happened to be across the street from SM City San Lazaro. Kind of nice being across the street from a mall. Anyway, as I walk into the mall, I am immediately greeted by a guard who wants to touch my private parts. Or, maybe he was just checking if I had anything illegal on me. I'm a little full of myself. Anyway, I walk in and around and see what is probably one of the biggest malls I've ever been in. Yes, this is probably small in terms of malls in the Philippines (as I would later learn when I go to MOA and Megamall), but to me, it was pretty big. It was like 3 or 4 levels of all kinds of stores, from your CD-R King to a huge supermarket at the bottom. The best part about shopping here, no Tagalog required! Woo hoo! Actually, that wasn't the best part. The best part was the people! From the other shoppers to the employees, EVERYONE was just so friendly! In America, it would be hard to find a mall full of friendly and helpful retail people. That's one of the reasons I came here about 10 times during my 2 weeks in Manila. I didn't even need to buy anything, but I just liked "hanging out" at the mall. While I don't think I'll be back in this mall in the near future (my sister-in-law recently sold that condo) with the likes of the aforementioned MOA and Megamall and also with Greenhills and Divisoria having better deals, I wouldn't mind going in again if we just happened to be in the area.
