I can't remember how many times I've been to the Landmark since I moved to Manila. I guess it was the first store my husband showed me. I remember that entering there was like a baptism, a début. I could almost hear the voice over: "Welcome, Danyella! This is the one and only Landmark! Here you'll find EVERYTHING you may need from now on. And for a cheaper price!". Did I say EVERYTHING? Yes, because that's exactly the feeling you have when you enter the Landmark. I just cannot decide where to look at. All products catch my attention. It's crazy. I'll give you a short list of what I already bought there, so you can feel the vibe: a Hello Kitty towel as a monito monita gift; a beautiful tea pot; maternity clothes; comfortable shoes; baby onesies; underwear; step ladders to reach high shelves; cute notebooks; toiletries; Instax instant film; scarfs; bags; a wallet; table linens and much more items. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the grocery. It's cheaper than Rustan's and even SM and you can find great variety. TIP: They sell Santis's meats and cold cuts at Landmark! I highly recommend it because of the quality. It's great to have this facility, so I don't have to split my grocery list anymore and go to Santis Deli at Rockwell. read more

So many cutesy butingting, so little room in the house. There is a section at the Landmark Department Store that can be considered a haven for hipsters - in that it features products that are shabby chic, and full of typography and graphic designed travel stuff. As you enter from the walkway that connects it to Greenbelt, you'll see the area on travel-inspired designs of notebooks and planners. And then there's the tin-can containers reminiscent of the things we used in the 80s as kids but the design is more English rose country and shabby chic. Still some of the home decor items are of prints and typography that would fit any room occupied by a hipster. Not that I'm a hipster, lol. But they are soooo cute! read more

The Landmark is my best friend. When I first moved to Manila, I was here almost every week. Since there is no Ikea in Manila, this was my Ikea. I picked up everything from throw pillows to bathroom organizers to glassware to spice containers to toiletries here. It's awesome! Plus the prices are really, really low! And it's located right in the middle of the city, which is amazingly convenient. My only gripe, however, is that it take the check out counter people SO LONG to check out! They have to check each item like THREE TIMES. It all seems very inefficient and a waste of my time. The supermarket is also majorly huge and majorly cheap. So it's always good to stock up at this store. Plus the check out guys are always super helpful in helping you to your car or taxi. read more

At first, I would only use Ladmark as a passage to get from Greenbelt to Glorietta. I noticed a few fake Guess bags and it just put me off looking around. The merchandise is presented in bulks so it doesn't look very refined and you get feeling of being in a market. However, the more times I passed through it, the more things started to catch my attention. I eventually got a pashmina for 130 php and it just went from there! You get great deals on toiletries too! This place is located close to the hotel I am staying at, which means I'm here all the time. This place is huge! I'm visiting from the U.S. and all the malls here are huge. This department store has around 4 or 5 floors. They have a wide variety of things here. From clothes to luggage to perfume and jewelry to toys. There's so much here that you will find something you need or didn't even think of wanting to buy. They have a lot of good deals and things go on sale all the time. There's so much here that it might take you a while just to walk around and see everything. I found a lot of nice clothes and toys for pasalubong. They also have a market on the lower level and a food court. They pretty much have everything you're looking for here. read more

The funny think about Landmark - not only this one but the one in Trinoma as well - is that the guards and the rest of the staff are always in some sort of costume, and it never makes any sense. For a long time a few years ago, they were in Naruto costumes. And then, for the papal visit, they started dressing up as the Swiss Guard. And now, they're in camisos and red pants, a la Andres Bonifacio. Who is in charge of this, seriously? Once you get past the ridiculous costumes though, Landmark has a ton of stuff to see. The place feels more like a bazaar than a department store because of the sheer number of choices - all at low, low prices. And their supermarket - damn. It's one of the biggest I've seen, and it's right beside one of the biggest foodcourts in the metro. Landmark should incorporate SM's tagline - this place has got it all for you. read more

If I were to name my most favorite place for shopping, it will have to be the Landmark Department Store. I equally love their Trinoma and Ayala Center branches for the wide array of merchandise that are markedly cheaper than anywhere else in the metro. I usually go to their menswear bazaar for things such as sports wear, jeans and casual wear. They have really cheap yet really sturdy locally-made clothes. I particularly like the cheap underwear that they sell in the men's bazaar area since they are comfortable and I could use them when lounging around at home. I also love the housewares department at Landmark because it is full of things that I never knew I needed. They have really cool baking and cooking equipment, together with different gadgets that make cooking and entertaining really easy. Another section that I love at Landmark is their office supply and stationery department. They sell novelty items such as notebooks, notepads, letter sets, office supplies and cute little trinkets that you don't really need but end up wanting to toss into your shopping cart anyway. The grocery section is also ace. I am surprised to find rare stuff on their shelves, including certain types of potato chips, instant noodles from abroad and seasonings such as kecap manis and other imports. Oh, and can I just say that whoever thought of putting their greeters and security guards in those awesome costumes is clearly a genius. One day a sailor or a ninja would check your bags going in, the next time they would be Chinese emperors or Vatican Swiss Guards. It is always so entertaining to see the guards in their fun costumes. I just love Landmark and I'll keep coming back to this wonderland of consumerism. read more

If you've ever wandered long enough at Landmark, eventually you might find yourself at this cheapskate heaven, their Bazaar sections. Don't expect prices to be similar to Divisoria of course. The items in their racks are the cheapest clothing you'll find at this department store. WARNING: It requires patience! To be honest, it may not look like they might have something for you from afar, but if you really take some time to sift through the racks, you'll be able to find a lot of really cheap pieces to add to your wardrobe. This place is PERFECT if you need to refresh your wardrobe with some basics, or if you're in need of a quick outfit but under a tight budget. Their collections can be crazy on the prints (i.e. 'tita' blouses aplenty) and most can be borderline tacky, but as for me, I go here to get basics--Plain shirts and tanks, skirts, and occasionally dresses. Fabric quality hasn't been much of an issue for me, and a lot of the pieces I've accumulated from this Bazaar section are still looking good now. As long as you have a good eye and a skill for pairing the right things together, no one will ever know that your top was just Php 120. I also love their Men's Bazaar section at the ground floor. If you like printed tees and you have a bit of patience, check out some racks as you might find some shirts with cool prints or quirky statements for around Php180 - 250. Whenever I need something, I make sure to check The Landmark first. They pretty much have everything and much more at the BEST prices. Of course you get the best deals during sale season but shopping here doesn't leave that feeling of guilt. My favorite part of this mall is the Bazaar section where you can find trendy clothes priced reasonably, it's hard to buy just one! I remember getting a couple of knit skirts for less than Php 500 for 2! That's still cheaper than most retailer stores here! If you're looking for gifts, they have the perfect section for you! You can find it on the Upper Ground floor near the escalators. I can literally stay there for hours! They have cute finds for super cheap! From stationery to office and school supplies, you can stock up on gifts no matter what season or occasion. read more

Landmark used to be a simple stopover for me during my daily walk from Greenbelt 1 to the MRT entrance in SM Makati. It took me a while to notice my surroundings whenever I walk through it, and I realized that hey, this is actually quite a nice place. My respect and love for it further developed when I saw how cheap their stuff were. They even had a 'bazaar' section, which offered even cheaper options. My affection for Landmark skyrocketed though when I saw their foodcourt at the basement, just outside the supermarket. An entire floor of food choices! And not the usual ones too, they had usually standalone stores joining the fray in the foodcourt, which gives you a whole lot of choices. I love you, Landmark. Never change. read more

Landmark is a treasure trove of inexpensive clothes, shoes, and even home and office needs. If you're looking for clothes, I recommend shopping with a keen eye as some of the products are overloaded with "tita prints" or super thin. Super soft sweater that only lasted a few months before stretching, I'm looking at you. However, majority of the clothes I've bought from Landmark are downright great for their prices, and have garnered me a ton of compliments. I buy a lot of cool casual tops, shorts, and jeans here, but have found dressy pieces sometimes. My friends were shocked to hear this is where I bought my prettiest maxi skirt, haha. There's something here to suit anybody's style. Also, their ground floor is a major zone for cosmetics and personal care. Hair irons, deoderant, anti-aging creams, it's all there. It's a good mix of big brands and independent ones, so you've got a wide range of options. Overall, Landmark is a trap, but a fun one. Landmark Department Store has really upped their game over the recent years. I can remember how it looked like when I was in highschool, and how it looks now--HUGE DIFFERENCE! I'm not just talking about store appearance here. I am referring to the variety of their items, and how relevant they actually are to their wide range of target market. Whenever I pass by the department store on my way to Greenbelt, I just really cannot help but check out all the new stuff, like the rings, sunglasses, even my get myself a new blank notebook to use as a sketchbook (I have a blank notebook buying problem you see) and I continue walking to my destination without even realizing I fell victim to Landmark's consumer profiling trap: my kind of habit is the exact reason why they situated the items on that floor, on the way to Greenbelt! It is brilliant. And I'm somewhat all right with it, because they aren't overpriced, and they obviously want to deliver a wider selection for their customers, so I'm all for their growth. read more

I really feel this place deserves its own entry as it's really one of a kind - imagine, a clothing department store selling many clothes at tiangge prices! And those clothes are not even on sale, but regular-priced. Definitely cheaper than at SM Department Store. I've bought nice dresses here for P300, and one even at P250. I think I even got a simple sleeveless dress for just P200. I've also bought a beach cover-up here (they have many swimsuits during summer, too!) for around P200. Recently, I also bought a cardigan here for less than P200. Those are the prices I see in the tiangges I frequent, not in malls. And this area is really accessible as this is the area of Landmark you pass by to get from Glorietta to Greenbelt or vice versa. Of course, there are still the more expensive clothes here, but I'm telling you the cheap ones are quite many and easy to find. read more

I LOVE THE LANDMARK DEPARTMENT STORE. Sorry, just had to put that in all caps before anything else. Seriously though, the Landmark Department store is the BEST. You can always find whatever you need in there. Need sports equipment? What about a wallet for your boyfriend? Backpacks? Make-up? Empty spray bottles? Hair dye? First floor, my friend. Clothes and shoes? Second floor. Baby stuff? Head on up to the 3rd floor. Onwards and upwards and you'll be in the furniture section. Not to mention the fact that they sell cool knick knacks too! Especially the area nearest to the bridge between Landmark and Greenbelt on the second floor. They have super cute notebooks and decorative tins and all sorts of bits and bobs that look so pretty and that you just HAVE TO HAVE based on prettiness (and cheapness!) alone. Also, if you're a total post-it/sticky note junkie like I am, Landmark department store also sells some pretty cute post-its. I could very well spend days just wandering around the store looking at all the pure, unadulterated STUFF, and go mad with want from all the cheap finds. Landmark has everything. With their guards dressed in a different costume each day and hectic crowds constantly rushing through, Landmark has a lot of good finds with a little patience and perseverance. I never really liked or bothered to look around landmark until my girlfriend dragged me and convinced me to have a look at it for some things that I needed. Landmark is a department store in Makati and has almost everything you need. From clothes, things for your room, things for the kitchen and bathroom, toys, sports gear, socks, underwear, shoes, bags, ties, undershirts, and even a supermarket in the lowest floor, Landmark has it all. Some of the things in Landmark are sometimes cheaper than the things in other stores or department stores despite it being the exact same thing. If you look hard around this department store, you'd be surprised with the things you could find. I heard their supermarket is also quite good because the prices are a bit cheaper with a good selection to fill up your pantry. Don't forget to add Landmark to your list of places to look at when you are looking for something. read more

I love Landmark! It usually has everything I need for a fraction of a price. When I say everything, I mean little empty toiletry bottles, simple hair pins, trinkets, in short basic things. I've compared Landmark to other department stores and I noticed that the prices in Landmark are usually cheaper (way to go, Landmark!). If you're looking for clothes, you might get overwhelmed by how many racks you need to go through. The key is persistence. Sooner or later, you'll be able to find something there. If you need cheap walking shoes (that you don't mind getting ruined), you can get them here. My favorite section though is where all the cute notebooks and stationery are! It's near the exit towards Greenbelt. There are even organizing containers to make your desk cleaner and neater. People go wild during the sale. So expect long lines at the counter, long lines around nice sections of the department store as well. I think if you want to conquer the battle (ehem ehem the sale) you have to know where the different sections of the department store. If you have time, go here a day or two before the sale (well that's me assuming you know when the upcoming sale is). Happy hunting for treasures! read more
