After not being able to find anyone to repair or replace the lower unit on my older Johnson…read moreoutboard locally, I searched the web for anyone that could help me. After a few minute search I found Joe at Advanced Marine in MI (I'm in Mass). He happened to have exactly what I was looking for and I received a perfectly rebuilt lower unit for my motor. It only took 3 days to arrive from the day I placed my order! So happy with the price and prompt service. That was 2 years ago....Recently, my son managed to blow out the lower unit again ("I didn't hit anything" :-) ). I called Joe...and even though I was out of the warranty period...Joe took care of me. I sent him my lower unit and he gave me a great price on the repair! The rebuilt unit was returned to me in about a week! Try to find that kind of service at your local yard! Thanks Joe and team! (aka http://lowerunit.net ) One Happy Customer.

But I will be back if I need repairs in the future! A couple years ago I needed a part for my old 2002 motor and they were the most helpful in helping me track down what I needed since they did not have it in stock (nor did any other repair places in the area). Great job!

He took copious notes on what he found, told us what he thought we should do, and then he got to work. We knew we were in good hands because we could see the passion Dave has for his craft. (His knowledge can not be challenged.) He covered every inch of the boat. When all was said and done; we were able to take the boat out on a nearby lake. Dave took us through the paces, showing us what he did and why, and how to "love" our boat in the future. He also tweaked our trailer so that the boat would have a safe journey home. We are now enjoying our boat on Lake Maxincuckee thanks to Dave.

We felt misled and would strongly recommend getting a second opinion... My family brought in a boat we purchased from them, we were told the engine needed to be replaced (Less than 500 hours) essentially taking away any profit my family would've made on a sale. THANK GOD I work for a boat dealership myself. We got the compression test numbers and the engine was MORE THAN FINE. In fact I ran it ALL SUMMER AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS, with ZERO problems whatsoever. My service manager and team were appalled. They tried to take advantage of my family. I WOULDN'T TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP WITH ANYTHING.
