They told us for 9 weeks they would get the dock in and continue to string us along. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I'm shocked they are even in business with the lack of professionalism. Good luck ever getting your dock back in with this company; they are only good if you have to buy new and then they are on time and ready to go. Otherwise they are not honest and completely unreliable.

I purchased a boat from Dry Harbour in Charlevoix and needed a lift to keep the boat safe and dry. I knew from years of looking at lifts and seeing them all over Lake Charlevoix this was the best constructed and best looking lift. So, in working through Dry Harbour (a Bulmann dealer) I was put in touch with Chris. Total professionalism and attention to detail. I am a very particular guy and was completely happy. I have a property on the South Arm of the lake and have a deep water application. Chris came out several times to fit the lift to the conditions and then Bulmann delivered the unit right for my needs. Several times they needed to level the lift, as the lift settled into the bottom silt and then again when the weight of the boat was on the lift. Each time they didn't settle for good enough but took the time to do it right and get it level. The crew led by Kurt and Rick were extremely friendly, careful and helpful. My dream of a new boat and lift to hold it came true this past weekend and all along Bulmann was going to be part of the picture. I made the best choice for me and encourage anyone out there considering a lift system to not miss taking a long look at Bulmann's product - you couldn't find a better choice. Thank you guys -

The company told us not to call the Coast Guard (others did anyway) and promised help--but instead sent two men in a truck who could only take three people, stranding the rest of us with small children and no keys or phones. When we finally got back, the owner was rude, blamed us, insisted his boats never fail, and tried to charge us the full rental plus $2,000 for damages--on the boat that had broken down. Check the Google reviews before booking--this isn't the first time this has happened. Spend your money elsewhere.

While you won't have access to lake michigan when renting a boat, there is SO much good to see around Lake Charlevoix. Apparently every multi-millionaire has a mansion and massive yacht around the lake. I have never seen so many high-dollar homes in one place. Truly, stunning (and kind of gross to see all the wealth too!). I could have spent days out on the water. With a cool breeze and a hoodie on, I was living my best life. Pickup and dropoff at the Ward Bros dock was super easy. If you have time to while in Charlevoix, I would definitely recommend renting a boat and spending some time out on the water. The quality of equipment, the correct fitting and the wonderful service keeps bringing us back. This year we had a problem when on our second day of skiing. Our granddaughter hurt her arm late in the day to the extent that the ski patrol snowmobiled her down the hill and we ran her to Spectrum hospital. In the chaos of getting her down the hill and to the hospital we left some rental equipment at Nubs. Bahnhoffs only concern was with the health of my granddaughter, not with the rentals. They showed complete understanding and compassion for the situation. End result, we lost a helmet and set of poles. Their equipment was the least of Bahnhoff's concern. They even got me setup with a new derailleur after getting a dog leash caught in it at 6pm on a Thursday when I was leaving for Copper Harbor at 6am the next day! The tire kept getting flat and couldn't hold any air so I took it to Latitude 45 Bicycles and Fitness and they had it fixed within 10 minutes for me. I was so happy and so pleased with such great fast and reliable service. The second time was yesterday and I had bought my daughters new bike I bought from another store (where they put together wrong) and Latitude 45 made sure everything on it was fixed properly and SAFE for her to ride! As a mother that gave me such a relief and good feeling to know her bike is good now. And it made her so happy to be able to ride it. I will come back to this store for any of my bike needs. Katie is great to work with. 20'-23' high-performance boats available to rent are Axis, Malibu, or Cobalt ski boats or Tritoon pontoon boats. The boats are well-cared for and new. They provide skis and floats and train you as well. They can rent boats to you for Walloon Lake or maybe they'll deliver it to another lake for you. We have rented boats from other companies in the area and now only use Tommy's. They also have a super cool restaurant (must go!) and store.
