Trusted professionals for our business & home!…read more Twas the day before Thanksgiving and all through the house only one sink was flowing; we needed to douse. To what to my wondering eyes appears but 3 months of successful projects completed in the nick of time by skilled engineers. Special thanks to Bob, Todd, Derek, John, Thomas, Brenda and the other skilled team members that made our holidays happen! It is a special challenge to merge the intracasies of a 170+ year old farmhouse and new construction. We thank you and highly recommend this team to help other people realize their project goals.

We had been searching for a last minute quote /work to move our exterior box to accommodate our…read morehouse addition. We had 2 electricians reject us 1. Said it was too complicated the other we never heard back from still haven't actually. So i was skeptical if yellow jacket would do the work i was actually very defeated about it. But Jeff showed up SAME day i asked about getting a quote, he was honest about our opitions even encouraged us to shop around before committing, that sold me right away he didn't try to sell to me he just told me honest work. The price was reasonable before i knew it i had a new installed box that looked great! Next we needed our old HORRIBLY located breaker box relaced to accommodate our addition further. One of his guys came right over and installed a new box orignally we were quoted 5 grand from someone else for this new box. Found out how over priced that was. The guy who did our work was polite and did hard work i could tell. My only complaint the 1st job there was 2 guys the 2nd guy i didn't see really lift a finger and the guy who did both jobs seemed to do all the work without a lunch break even. However the 2nd guy lefts for a good chunk of time leaving the other guy to do most of the work alone himself not that he seemed much help to this guy.

They keep you informed from start to finish, explain everything to you so that you understand it. The price of both units at both houses and the warranty/guarantee were great. They come out every year at the start of cooling season and heating season and check the units to ensure that everything is good and that there will be no problems and they clean them. Peggy and Laura in the office are always so polite and they work with you to schedule appts that are also convenient for us. GREAT COMPANY.

I didn't really know why my storm drain was backing up and bubbling over from the recent heavy rains. So I called IU, and the owner was here in just a few minutes. Checked with his crew and brought them back within 30 minutes. After a rigorous, detailed effort, they diagnosed my problem within an hour. They could have started fixing the problem there, but they recognized a different issue in that my drain pipe had been cross-bored by my gas line. Although some less experienced companies would have just dived in and possibly severed the gas line (thus costing unnecessary damage, time, and money), they paused until we heard back from Nicor, who ultimately resolved the issue. Honest...reputable...professional...value-oriented. I'd hire them again...Thanks, IU!!

Called them less than a month ago to have them come and fix my AC. It was running but not blowing…read moreout cold air throughout the vents of the house. They came out and were here for 30 minutes or less, said I needed more freon so he put in 11 oz of that and charged me $58.50 for that, then said the air filters also needed cleaning so he used my hose to spray them out which he charged me $45.00 to use my hose and my water to clean out some air filters? That wasn't even the worst part. Their flat rate of "labor" costs for their time is $98.00 whether they're there for five minutes or an hour. In total the bill was 201.50 for 11 oz of freon, and something I could of done myself. Moral of the story: I called them back again today (three weeks after the first time the AC broke down) for the same issue, to have them come and fix it since they clearly didn't the first time, and they told me it would be $185.00 plus whatever the parts will cost to fix it. P.s. Don't even think about calling on the weekend because their labor rate is $185 non-negotiable and that's before the cost of "parts". Please, please do not waste your time or money. They will simply do the bare minimum so that they have to come back within a few short weeks, and you have to spend another $100+ for their precious time. P.s.s Their customer service is terrible, was quite upset they quoted me so high after not fixing it the first time and the lady just told me "call someone else then". Fine by me, I'd rather give my money to some other business than a greedy one.
